The associate there, Thomas, was patient, helpful and found the issue with my phone and fixed the problem. He made sure to explain to me exactly what had caused the problem and how to prevent it again. No charge, you can't beat that for value!! I know a lot of folks seem to be down on Best Buy... but they must not have met Thomas when they were there. He was one of the best and most competent customer service/sales associates I've ever encountered.

Daniel of the Wilmington, NC store was rude, unhelpful, unprofessional, and tantrum prone. There are other places to buy big ticket items than Best Buy. Buy directly from the manufacturer and schedule a local company that specializes in installation, etc. Don't waste your time with Best Buy. Best Buy subscribes to the too big to fail approach. You won't run them out of business by not shopping there, but you will get better service and the same product, at the same price by going manufacturer and local specialized installation companies.

She asked the employee ssisting her what the return policy was for the Ipad because she wasn't sure if she was goign to like it ot not. He informed her she had 30 days. She purchased it and saved th receipt along with the packaging. She decided to return it 17 days later with the receipt, packaging and IPAd in perfect condition. She was informed by a manager named Tabitha she couldn't accept it because the return policy for Apple products was 14 days, not 30 days. When my daughter explained thats not what she was told, she was informed that the associate who helped her had quit without notice or reason. She was then told only Guest Relations could override the system to give her a refund. She called GUest Relations and was told only the store manager could override the system. Basically, she was given the runaround by a company that made over 104 billion dollars last year over a $550 Ipad. Keep in mind my daughte ris a college freshmen who had about $750 to her name! So, when my daughter called me I called Guest Relations. The man I spoke to was able to call the store and get Tabitha to override the system, but now they decided instead of giving my daughter back her cash on her debit card they would only give her store credit. There policy clearly states that all refunds are given back the way they were spent. This took about an hour get to this point. After having this escalated to superiors in Guest Relations and passing this along to other executives in Target, I was basically told, I should be grateful my daughter was given store credit. Target completely overlooked the fact that my daughter was misinformed by one of their employees who coincidentally quit! They told me they "couldn't" refund my daughter's money, not that they wouldn't, but that they "couldn't." I find it ridiculous that a multibillionaire company would not issue a refund for $550 to an 18 year old girl whose net worth is now $750 after their employee misled her. I forgot to mention that Target instead placed the blame on my daughter and said she should have saw on her receipt that she had 14 days to return her Ipad. I know for a fact that I would go by the word of the employee over a receipt. My daughter learned some valuable lessons from this that I want to pass onto you: 1. Most major companies like Target online care about their bottom line and have absolutely horrible customer service! 2. You can't trust anything a target employee tells you because apparently they are not well-trained, and target will stand behind their employee's misinformation. 3. All that counts is what's in writing. Don't lsiten to what Target employees spew when they are trying to sell you something. Tell them to show you in writing. 4. When it comes to money, corporations will give you the runaround and hope you just give up going back and forth with people on the other end of a "Guest Relations" line. I cannnot stress enough that you should not shop at Target! I would say just this target but I discovered this is a systemic problem with Target.

Everyone beware. My…read moreexperience with Port City Center during a major renovation was deeply disappointing and remains the single worst part of the entire project. They operate strictly as order takers and plug and play installers not designers, not system thinkers, and not problem solvers. There was no meaningful effort to understand how the system would actually be used, no optimization of what was being sold, and no evidence of technical mastery beyond basic installation. What was ultimately delivered was poorly specified, incorrectly configured, and difficult (if not impossible) to properly service or program. Even more concerning, there appeared to be little understanding of the equipment they were installing or how it should function in a real world environment. The result: a significant amount of money spent on systems that were either unnecessary, inappropriate, or never fully operational, and ongoing frustration trying to make them work. If you are looking for a partner who can thoughtfully design, program, and support an integrated system, look elsewhere. This was a costly mistake, and I strongly recommend others avoid repeating it.

I had a terrible experience with this company due to their complete lack of pricing transparency. I scheduled a technician to reprogram my remote for a new receiver, expecting a minor service. I was shocked to receive a bill for $271.51! At no point during the scheduling or service process was I given an estimate or informed of any potential costs. I contacted the company to dispute the charge, as I would never have agreed to the service at that price had I known. They eventually offered a meager $50 discount, which I reluctantly accepted just to be done with the situation. This company's practice of performing work without disclosing pricing is unacceptable and a complete rip-off. I strongly advise looking elsewhere.
