We try to go at least 2 to 3 times per month from Evans. Best Greek salad I've had. I used to go for lunch every time I was working in Aiken. We have never had anything but excellent service and the food has always been awesome. My family loves acropolis. read more

"Who the feck are you, & why the feck are you here?!!!" That is what the cook guy was looking like when we first entered the door... he was leaning over the countertop from the kitchen area, and the waitress was talking with him. I tried to get him to smile, but he was just looking so shocked and upset. It was very strange. No masks either. None of the two employees we encountered were wearing masks, and Aiken is under a mask mandate because of the pandemic. Decor was dark and Late 1970s. i really wanted one of their Michelob lights. The menu was strange, to say the least. We really did not know what to order. The waitress was nice, tho. Actually, i guess pizza and pasta would be the basic choices. the pasta was bland, tho. Just really difficult, weird atmosphere, so it threw us off. My husband was having an allergic reaction to the air in there, inside the restaurant. And, i very rarely feel allergies, but definitely had my eyes feeling stingy and stuffy. We feel very sick after leaving, and it's crept up on us in these couple of hours after dinner. Strange symptoms. i almost feeLLike we got attacked by an evil spirit. God! Goddess! We pray for protection and health, and to live long & prosper. read more

I really enjoy Acropolis. They have friendly service, a clean restaurant, and amazing Greek food. I love the grape leaves, as well as the wide variety of Greek pastries (Baklava? Yes please!). Their pizza has a unique taste (the sauce, perhaps) that I really love and comes in sizes from small to gigantic (20"). Bonus - around Christmas, they sell Greek cookie trays! They can get pretty busy during dinner on Friday and Saturday, but the staff has always been attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit. read more

Never again! I love to support locally owned restaurants but this is one place I will not dine at again. I have an egg allergy, ordered a Rueben, nothing was said about it being served with a fried egg on it. The fries were very old and soaked in grease. The crackers that were plopped on our table were expired. The server was un-attentive at best, borderline rude. It felt very un-clean. I don't enjoy posting negative reviews, however, the truth is the truth. There is no natural lighting so it almost feels like dining inside a strip club. The whole place needs to be cleaned top-to-bottom. The food is NOT fresh....the service was NOT good...just NOT a good dining experience. It's very sad because this place has been around for years and I enjoy patronizing local flavor over chain restaurants. This is one place I will not return to. read more

Worst Restaurant in Aiken. My girlfriend and I went here based on the recommendation in the Augusta Chronicle and they couldn't have been more wrong about it. We started out with fried mushrooms that were obviously frozen. I then followed it up with the $12 Gyro plate, the Greek salad it came with was ok, but was basically just feta and lettuce. The Gyro contained overcooked frozen gyro meat that you can buy in the grocery store and 3 pieces of baked potatoes. My girlfriend had the manicotti and her review was that it was not very good especially for the price. She also had some red wine which tasted like it was out of a box and had been open for a couple of weeks. On top of the bad food the service was atrocious, it was slow and the waitress took 15 minutes to bring me a refill of my water. In summary stay away. read more

Overpriced. I paid 11.50 for what I thought would be a large gyro plate. What I got was a cold pita with a couple of slices of meat and some poorly steamed potatoes slices. Paid 8 dollars for "calamari" which was huge thick slices in bread crumbs, it was disgusting. Very disappointing, I will not eat here again. read more

I got the Shrimp Parmigiana. In a word...bland! It tasted like they poured store-bought Ragu over some pasta, threw on a few tasteless boiled shrimp, and topped it off with melted cheese. We had fried ravioli as app which we shared. Then 2 of us shared a veggie pizza while another had a calzone. Can't say enough about the crust on the pizza! Everything was delicious! Will be coming back next time in Aiken. read more

This is the best pizza in the CSRA. The crust is crunchy and the ingredients are fresh. George does it right every single time.

Went there for lunch and ended up spending $25.00! All we had was coffee and two sandwiches and one small salad. Husband ordered a "club sandwich", which is pretty basic - right? Got a frozen chicken pattie with cheese melted on it and ONE piece of bacon on a hamburger roll! - Is that a club sandwich? McDonald's does better for less. - I had "chicken parmesan" which was same patties with more cheese melted and a dollop of sweet-tasting sauce: no parmesan. "Greek salad" was tasteless with 'crumbles' of tasteless feta and one olive and a flavorless 'dressing' that was pure oil. Service was fine but I wish that the TV wasn't on the whole time. read more

Acropolis is our favorite restaurant in Aiken! I love the stuffed grape leaves, and the pizza and pasta are delicious, all homemade, including the ravioli! The best pizza restaurant in Aiken. We lived in Aiken for years, and their pizza is the best. They top the pizza with "FRESH" toppings. Isn't that original!!! I have never tried their other menu items because we always ordered pizza when we ate at the establishment. Try the pizza.....it's good. read more

Would NOT recommend. Service was terrible. Owners were rude. Only two olives on greek salad and one was already biten!! GROSS! Had cracker crumbs in my ranch dressing. Obviously reused from a previous customer. Pizza was okay. Mostly greasy though. Wont be returning!!! read more

I drive almost 2 hours to pick up pizza from here. I have had pizza all over the country and I still come home to the Acropolis. I had pizza here when they opened and have kept coming back for over 20 years. The kindest owners and freshest ingredients with reasonable prices. Definitely a place not to miss. read more
