The day comes for our service appointment and no one shows up. I called Rains and was told they rejected the work order the same day it came in. When I asked why no one bothered to call us Bryan got upset. I then asked how long until they could get to us and was told a month. Continued to get the run around. Bryan hung up on me not once, but twice. Come to find out I was told that due to the fact the appliances weren't purchased from them they didn't make us a priority. I purchased a used refrigerator from them in March of this year. The guy I bought it from said it…read morewould work fine, there was a 30 day warranty, the only thing not covered under the warranty was the water for the ice maker. It made ice, but leaked water so all the ice became one sheet in the tray. No big deal. The real problem came at the end of June. It quit working. The refrigerator wouldn't get cold, and the freezer was just freezing everything on the bottom shelf and everything else was in the freezer was defrosting. We paid them $95 to come out and fix it. The maintenance guy they sent out said that a drain was clogged and it had frozen, so he put a heater on the bag to defrost it. It worked good for about 4 weeks and then the same thing happened again. So I called them back and said, hey it's not working again, same problem. They sent a different guy out and all I saw him do was take apart the freezer and chip the ice off and put it back together. It worked good for almost 3 weeks. Same problem. Called them up and said it wasn't working, again SAME problem. Well they wanted to charge me another $95. Total BS. I wouldn't have to keep calling them up every few weeks if they would;ve just fixed it right the first time. Between original purchase, repair calls, and lost food it ended up costing me around 1000 for a used fridge that didn't work. The 3rd time, the woman that answered the phone was just a b****. I told her I shouldn't have to pay for them to come out and repair the fridge because they haven't repaired it right the first time that I payed for it, they're just doing quick fixes to hurry up and get out. My husband talked to one of the guys that works there, and he said they would send someone out, and would call us back. Well it's been over a week and they have not called back, which is fine because we just had a $1400 Kenmore from Sears delivered today. I would not recommend purchasing from here or asking to have repairs from them. We kept hearing that this was the place to go because of how great they are, but this was not a great experience. Apparently "They have really gone downhill" from what my husband's coworkers recently told him.

The power went out…read moreapparently, but I didn't notice because our awesome Generac, installed by Powers Services kicked on. It was installed November 8th, just in time in seems. The company recently called to check in with us and my husband told them we were happy with the installation. The only thing was the gas line that had to be dug had somewhat sunk in and so had a hole. They sent someone out immediately to fill it in. It really wasn't a big deal, but how good was that of them to care enough a month later? Best money I've spent in awhile.

I started using them over a year ago when we moved in. They inspect the system for preventative…read moremaintenance every fall and spring for a low fee. They just happened to be the company that installed the original unit in the house also, so that's a plus. Our homes unit is 20 years old and I figured they'd tell us to get a new one, but that isn't the case. It was the exact opposite. The technician informed us that it's running very well. It was refreshing to have that kind of honesty in a company these days. That is why I called them and no one else for the other house we bought. We gutted the house and needed a new a/c. I called and spoke to Virgil, who came right out. I told him that I was impressed with the way the technicians don't just try to sell you on something. He said that is how his company does business. Love it! Again, he was honest and told us that amazingly, the duct work in the other house was great and we didn't need to replace it. He told us once we had the drywall installed, to call for installation. He had given us a nice quote, good for 90 days and he honored that. The techs came out within a few days of my phone call and installed the unit and we now have working air. Fabulous staff and company that I would highly recommend!! I won't use anyone else.

He did all of the measurements and answered any questions we still had (after already meeting with two other companies). The one thing he did differently than the other companies that I particularly liked, was placing a mat down on the ground that allowed us to visualize how much space the Generac would take up. Ultimately, we went with another company as they were almost $3000 less for the same item. But had the price been right, I would have felt comfortable hiring this company and having them work at my home.
