A few of the buildings seem vacant and one looked like it was falling down. My little one asked me what happen to it...she told me it was about to crash down. She also believed the boat captains lived in all of the buildings by the water because they look like wood shanty's. I didn't have the heart to tell the truth so I went with it. It is fun to walk up the boardwalk because there are some great views of the river. You can also check out the fishing boats too. Some of the captains will talk to you because they are trying to drum up some business. It would be fun to go out and do some sport fishing but maybe on my next trip, hopefully it won't be another 18'years. There are also some great places to eat here too. My personal favorite is the Mucky Duck Shanty for a Sheboygan Brat. It is the best deal in the area for $3.95 with chips and slaw. A pint of beer is $2.50 and that's a normal price...no need for a fake happy hour here. There are also other places too for coffee, ice cream, burgers or brunch. Just search yelp when you get here because there are a ton of great reviews. There is also plenty of parking in the lot. If it's full then you will see two hour street parking for free. There is also a bathroom at the north end of the pier but it is open seasonally. So if it's summer you are in luck but in winter you may be denied. If your passing through Sheboygan then stop on in. It is only about 3 miles off the main highway and you will have a great time too.

In those five hours we didnt get one bite or catch one fish. On the way back the first mate offered us a 20 pound king for our troubles and the captain didnt charge us beyond the deposit. Given the cost of a fishing charter i was quite surprised, that shows integrity, which is something that seems in short supply these days. I plan on doing another charter through them this year or the next, the fish simply weren't biting. The first mate is a chill guy to shoot the breeze with, the excursion was relaxing, and both guys wanted to see us catch fish as badly as we would've liked to. Thank you again captain bryan.

No fish for the first hour or two, but David is so knowledgable about Lake Michigan and the Sheboygan area, we learned a ton. And suddenly, we had a hit! Nothing gets your blood pumping like taking the rod in your hands and wrangling with a huge coho salmon. What an experience! We ended the day with three beautiful fish and a slight sunburn (bring sunscreen). The best part? David and crew clean and filet the fish on the dock! We went home with dinner ready to cook. In Sheboygan, Playing Hooky is a 'must.'

We booked an 8 hour charter with our 3 kids. Captain and Cody were very welcoming and informative but not stifling with forced conversations. We caught 2 fish pretty quickly and then there was a lull for a few hours .......... no nibbles ...... Captain Darren and Cody tried VERY hard to help catch fish ( trying different lures, etc...) and they were stumped why they weren't biting. My husband and I really appreciated their efforts and we were all having fun nonetheless. Then my husband went into our cooler and offered everyone a banana. Cody and Darren exchanged glances and shook their heads. They told us bananas are bad luck for fishing. My husband and I had a real good laugh at this superstition and ate all the bananas and tossed out the peels. Ten minutes later, my son caught a King Salmon, and then another, and another - 6 fish pretty quickly! Darren and Cody were great helping the kids reel them in. Long story short: Captain Darren and Cody were wonderful and tried hard to make this a great experience for our family and they SUCCEEDED! Fish or no fish, we all had fun!
