It's so vast, colorful, and inviting to kids of all ages. We have a toddler, and our nephew who is a similar age, was also with us. Sometimes playgrounds can be a little too high/advanced for their age, but All My Friends Playground has a wide selection of areas to play on, including lower and less intense obstacles. Tons of slides and swings, climbing gyms, merry go round, teeter totter, and more. Plus there is a massive (and wonderfully colorful) butterfly that spreads shade over the middle of the playground. Other great parts about this park: it's completely fenced in by a lovely pickets that are all engraved by local families. It keeps all the kiddos safe and contained. Also the squishy flooring is a huge plus. It's so comfy to run around on and makes for a safer place if anyone falls. Really love the creativity and fun that went into creating this new play area. There is excitement around every turn -- seeing the animals up close, hearing "Look, Grammie!" and watching everything through the eyes of kids is such a joy. I was shocked when I pulled in the parking lot and there were only a handful of cars. When we went in, the place is pretty large, but felt a little empty. There were about 10 slides, a basketball court, and mini go karts. I thought I read online that the go karts were included with admission, but then there were signs saying you needed to buy a wristband. There was no worker in that area and nobody used them during our time there. The slides were fun until you reached the bottom. When the slide ended, you slid onto a rubber mat on most slides. My neck was starting to hurt after a few slides due to the jolt from hitting the rubber mat. I don't recommend for adults. I stopped after about 5 slides. My nephew who is 12 also complained that it hurt. It was really exhausting climbing up all the stairs to get up to the slides. Also, some of the slides and ceiling fans were dusty. Sad to say it was disappointing and I don't plan on coming back.

All of the kids we were with, including mine, ranged from ages 2-6. To no surprise, they all had a blast. There's something for everyone, including a dedicated section for kids under 5. From a parent's perspective however, there were definitely a few things we didn't favor. To start, there seemed like a lack of staff, almost allowing for too much of a free-for-all. And the staff that were working, were completely unfriendly and looked like they didn't want to be there at alllllll. This is a kids place... even a smile or a little interaction with the kids would go a long way. The one gentleman -working the area where you swing off the bar onto the blow up section- truly looked mad to be there and it was sad to watch the kids ask him for help and receive bothered looks in return like it was a chore. The go-cart section was completely closed/broken down as well. You pay a good chunk of money to come here, so to have a whole area not available to play was a bummer. Having a bday party here can be the whole package though - our group got a big dedicated table on the party side, pizzas, veggies and fruit, and drinks. Unsure of the cost, as we weren't the hosts, but if you're looking for an all-in-one option this would work. All in all, an enjoyable place for kids but absolutely be prepared for chaos and to support your kids in being safe because there's opportunity for injury.

As a mama, I've also been able to connect with so many other moms that I wouldn't have otherwise and that has been invaluable. My friends and I surprised one of our friends with a trip to Safari Lake Geneva to kick off her…read morebachelorette weekend, and we all ended up having a great time. None of us had ever done a drive through safari before, so it felt like a really unique and memorable activity. When we first arrived, it was a little confusing figuring out exactly where to go to start the drive-through experience. The signage could have been clearer. Thankfully, we visited near the end of their open season and at a slower time of day, so the entrance area was not crowded and we were able to take our time getting started. One thing to be aware of is that the driving trail has a lot of potholes and uneven spots, so you definitely need to drive slowly and carefully. Some sections of the path are pretty bumpy, especially if you are not expecting it. We decided not to buy the animal feed because at the beginning, we were a little nervous about opening our windows, and also did not want food all over the car. Even without feeding them, we still got very close to a lot of animals and were able to pet them through our open windows when we felt comfortable doing so. Throughout the drive, you see animals like deer, camels, llamas, alpacas, bison, antelope, and tons of ostriches and emus. There were also a couple of giraffes and zebras toward the end. The ostriches were definitely the most aggressive and curious. They walked right up to the cars and pecked at windows, which had us laughing and slightly panicking at the same time. We also noticed there was animal spit all over the outside of the car from all of the animals trying to get food from us, despite us not having any. There are not a huge number of different species, and you will see some of the same animals many times along the route, but it was still fun to take pictures and watch how the animals interacted with the cars. Admittedly, I felt bad for the animals because I feel like it could be easy for a car to accidentally run them over. Some animals took a long time to move out of the car's way, and because the safari is just one big open field where the animals can freely roam around, the animals come out of nowhere sometimes. Once the driving part was over, we looked at the other parts of the safari where you could walk around. We saw pigs, little monkeys, donkeys, and more! I love how interactive the experience is and how you can't pet animals at a zoo, but you can here. Pricewise, it wasn't crazy and ended up being about $23 per person because they don't charge per vehicle; they charge per person. Overall, this was a really fun and unique experience that made for a great start to our friend's bachelorette weekend. It is definitely something different to do if you are in the Lake Geneva area, but just be prepared for a bumpy drive and some very curious animals.
