Ordered flooring a month and a half ago - just want to know where the hell it is yet NO ONE seems to want to let me know. While the product that they are STILL in the process of installing in our condo is very nice, the delivery and installation process has been a complete gong show. Delivery of the flooring was delayed due to??? Then when it was delivered, I was given 20 minutes notice that they were dropping it off. Some of the flooring that was delivered was damaged in transit, and we had to wait for more product to be delivered. Then the installation crew said they were still short some material and we had to wait for more material. Installation has been put off a few times, crews don't arrive when they are supposed to. I was given a firm time by one of the owners for the final (?) installation and then I received another phone message just after 10 AM advising that rather than being here between 8:30 & 9:30 AM as promised, the installation crew would be coming after lunch. Completely unacceptable. read more

We had floors installed almost a year ago in March and figured they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, the floor wasn't levelled, and we were unaware until a few joints broke that this should have been done on the uneven areas, let alone fix squeaks in the subfloor. Secondly, the vents we had installed have been an ongoing issue; we had custom ones made to match the flooring; however, the installer had an issue and had never installed this kind before. They never had the proper tools and made a mess of the floor around the vents. Having repairs done several times has been an absolute nightmare. Trying to get someone here when they schedule you in has led to continual excuses that they forgot, or the installer was on another job, or they don't show up, and sometimes don't even call, leaving you to wonder where they are even when you booked it several weeks or months in advance. Today, 2024-02-05, is a good example; I was scheduled to get several repairs completed, which was booked before Christmas, only to be told the guy was coming when he didn't show up at 9:30 am I called and was told he was on his way to get the product at the shop. We get a phone call 45 minutes later stating their communication was crossed, and the guy was in Fort Mac Murray. Like what the "F." Again, another day, I scheduled off only to find out the communication around there was obsolete. Why schedule appointments if you can't even show up, considering this has happened five times over the year already? They will take your money, and when something needs to be repaired or costs them out of pocket, it's whatever can be done the cheapest and will waste the warranty time by pushing repairs off over a year. They might as well rip the whole floor out and redo it properly. I'm tired of the goddamn excuses and continual no-shows. I didn't want to write a review, but honestly, they don't deserve five stars, and the lack of respect to do repairs promptly is disgusting and uncalled for. Finally, be mindful of the warranty. All repairs are the installers' responsibility and come out of their pocket, which leads them to delay so they don't need to pay for it. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! Not Impressed. read more

The sales representative Chris never once contacted us after a delay of our tiles by over 5 months. I paid a deposit of half the total price when I ordered the tile. I called them every month & was always told it would be in the end of the month.They pushed us to use their installer, & never sent anyone to look at the job... I was told 1 was coming, then they cancelled. Then I was informed they were not sending anyone, only to install... and not look at the job. I finally talked to the manager & was told he'd look into this. After that he would not return my call. I asked them to order the transition pieces 3 times & that never happened. When the tile did come in no one even bothered to call me. I called them once or twice a month & I was told it was in when I last called them. The sales rep was the worst I have ever encountered... the manager does not give a damn. I could go on, avoid this company. read more

The sales staff at action Flooring have a great eye for flooring. The show room is incredible. The sales staff answered all of our questions and gave us great information on the different types of flooring available within our budget. When choosing what would go with our cabinets, the suggestions made helped us narrow down the perfect match for our project. They were kind and patient with us and when we finally made our decision, getting all the prices together, materials ordered and installation set up went like clockwork. The installer was professional, clean and did a meticulous job. Our new floors look fantastic! We will definitely use Action Flooring for future renovation projects. read more

He helped with every step in the purchase and made sure we were happy with the product after installation. I was on vacation & returned home to water damage in my basement. The restoration co. referred me to Action to replace my flooring. the team of Shauna, Terry, Roger & Brenda,Antonio were above & beyond amazing!! A few extra jobs were required to be completed. Everyone was more than happy to ensure that the "extras" were completed expertly & professionally. I appreciate the teamwork of this crew. If you deal with this business, save yourself the grief and don't deal with Chris. He was very rude and kind of an asshole on the phone. I asked him a few questions about my options for flooring on my basement floor. he told me that first off they do nothing for free and how level would a like my floor. First off I would think that most people would want as level as possible, and not expect a saleman to interigate you in the phone. My god is that that hard to find a decent flooring company to deal with in the Edmonton area?? read more

Bought new cork flooring through them and installed it myself. Luckily the enitre box of damaged pieces were used in areas where we needed off cuts, otherwise I wouldn't have been happy with them. I suspect this is something "their" installers can get corrected. IF I buy more through them again I will insist that the order be inspected for damage before it's released to me. Great service otherwise and friendly staff. read more

The friendly service we initially received in the sale room was sadly quickly replaced with disappointment in delays hearing back from staff and receiving our flooring products. Three separate orders and three separate delays. The most recent disappointments were finding out they measured incorrectly and we are short over 200 sq ft in flooring. Ordered more again to discover the product is not available for pick up on the day they assured me it would be. read more
