I bought a cpu and ram online from Chris Bubello at Action Marine Center. My payment was transferred to his account. Then he did not respond to my communications for 13 days and counting. I did not receive the computer parts. Chris did not respond to my many efforts to communicate with him. He failed to fulfill his part of the invoice. He did not send me the computer parts I paid for. My neighbor Andy had these guys come out to his home which is the dock located next to ours and recommend them to us for some repairs on our boat. They came out the next day and got right to work and everything my husband went over with them was repaired just as we asked. The boat is now also running much better. I would give Action Marine in Pinellas Park, FL a zero rating if I could. Chris Bubello is not only a liar but he's rude, nasty, under the influence of something and incompetent. He had my boat for over 3 months! I dropped off my boat at Action Marine on July 7, 2017. After over 3 months of excuses as to why my boat hadn't been repaired, on October 12, 2017, I picked my boat up literally in pieces. When he pulled the engine the wires and hoses were cut and yanked from the boat. I demanded the boat back at this point, all the while he begged me to leave it and promised to finish it in 2 weeks on several occasions. I picked it up in worse condition than it was when I dropped it off. I couldn't get the motor until Chris made his way to it through his very disorganized, utterly disgusting shop to pick it up with his forklift the following Monday. I had to look all over Chris's shop to retrieve all of the parts but he still has my $500 dollar prop that he said was at the prop shop, most likely sold, and a lot of other parts missing or broken that I couldn't find. I initially took it in to have the out drive and trans assembly replaced to the tune of over $12,000. I paid him up front almost $8000 for a deposit for labor and parts. He never ordered the parts and the only labor he did was removing the engine, transom assembly. Please don't take your boat to this low life or you'll be out of a lot of money and no boat repair as I am. Boat and trailer were damaged, most of the damage had blue paint marks, same color as the fork lift, dents and gouges in boat and trailer, swim platform, broken lights, fenders badly bent. He's very difficult to contact. He doesn't answer his phone/texts, he's very seldom there and when he does respond he's very rude and sarcastic and appeared to be under the influence as he gets belligerent when you tell him you're taking your property. He's changed business names frequently due to the many judgements made against him from other customers who have had very similar experiences. I can't sue him for our money lost because he is a dead beat and has current judgements against him for over $100,000 already and he gets away with it by just changing business names and obviously no assets per attorney. Please don't take your boat to this low life or you'll be out of a lot of money and no boat repair. read more

***Buyer Beware*** Called Chris at Action Boat Repair to fix a battery issue with my boat. Boat was not starting. The boat is a year old with less than 30 hours on the engine. I spoke with Chris at Action Boats multiple times, but he did not come out to give me a written estimate on the repair. Finally, three weeks after contacting Chris, I received a call that he had come to my house when I was not home and inspected the boat. I was told that he needed to replace the battery switch OEM, battery cables, and fuse box. Chris could not provide me with an estimate on the repair because he said that he had to check on part prices. I did not hear from Chris for another couple weeks. After leaving multiple messages, I received a call from Chris that the boat was repaired. I attempted to give Chris my credit card number, but Chris told me the price was 684.00 if I choose to pay with check instead of credit card to avoid credit card fees. Chris said he was going to give me a "discount" so that he didn't have to pay the transaction fee of the credit card company. Chris said he needed to pick up the check immediately and wanted me to make the check out to him personally. I requested an invoice which he said he would email to me at a later time. After paying Chris via check, and upon inspection of the boat, I realized that all my electronics( depth finder, GPS, and radio) did not work. It appeared that none of the electronics were receiving power. In addition, my motor loses power randomly now and leaves me stranded. None of these problems were present prior to Chris working on my boat. Over a 3 week period, I called Chris 16 times and left multiple messages without receiving any return calls. After receiving no call back, I finally went to Action Boat's location and spoke with Chris. Chris apologized and said he had been out of town and would be out to my house to fix the electronics and look at my motor the next morning. Chris has never called or stopped by my house. I have called multiple times and never received a call back. After reviewing the invoice that Chris forwarded to me after I paid him, I realized that the "discount" that he provided me for not using my credit card was actually the 7% sales tax that he put in the invoice. I have forward the invoice, a copy of check addressed to him, and complaint to Florida Department of Revenue tax fraud tip line. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Action Boat Repair, but if you choose to use Action Boat Repair request a written estimate and do not pay invoice until you have thoroughly checked work. I wish I would have read the prior reviews on Angie's list before using Action Boat Repair! It seems this is not the first time Chris at Action Boat Repair has had these issues with customers. Is there anyway to give negative stars because this place does not deserve one star. I took my boat into Action Boats Services to have the seals done and there was an issue with tilt and trim clicking when engaged. They told me that the problem was the relay and assured me that they could properly replace the seals and replace the relay. It took them almost a month to return my boat to me, in fact it sat in their yard 3 weeks before the started working on it. After a $700 bill, the problem still remained. I called the business numerous times and also stopped by. There was no one at the shop during business hours and when I finally got a hold of someone they told me to bring in the boat that following Monday. Luckily I drove by before hooking up the boat because no one was at the business. I found another place to fix my boat, the relay hadn't been replaced, the power lines to the hydraulic pump were cut so close to the pump that they were submerged in water, there was no waterproofing evident. I have still tried to call them numerous times to request a refund and an explanation, to no avail... DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE read more
