BACKGROUND…read more // i normally don't write reviews for a company unless i directly utilized their services, but having seen them in action, i had to write a quick bit. one of my friends is moving up to the bay for school. i lovee going up there, so i used this opportunity to hitch a ride with her, and while i was up there i helped her move. PROCESS (5/5) // she hired cali-seattle express (imma call it CSE for short) to assist her, and they were our saving grace. a lot of moving companies weren't readily available for the questions we needed answered but CSE responded to us via yelp within 15 minutes of requesting a quote! they seemed like a newer company and we were a bit skeptical.. but we don't regret it! they basically hit all the important things we needed. they communicated with us very well and at every step of the way, they were FRIENDLY, and they were prompt. my friend had all of her stuff in a storage unit, so the movers met us there, did their thing, and safely delivered all of her stuff to her new apartment. and most importantly everything packed efficiently and carefully : ) OVERALL (5/5) // i've got high praise for this up and coming company. i would def recommend to any locals up in the sf area.

Literally any other mover will be better…read more We spoke with Steven a few months before our move to get a detailed estimate and scheduled a pick-up date. He seemed professional and helpful--until the day of the move, which turned out to be an absolutely horrible experience. He hired third-party movers who were originally scheduled for the afternoon, but instead, they arrived late, after 8 PM, in a U-Haul truck, and did not finish until after midnight. They were completely unprepared--no tools or equipment--and didn't have a truck large enough for all our belongings. Once they arrived, they re-quoted us for nearly $1,300 more than the original estimate, and only part of our belongings fit on the truck. Upon delivery a few weeks later, we were told the day before that the truck was "too big" to fit on our street, despite having confirmed with our building in advance. The third-party company charged an additional fee and held our belongings until it was paid. We paid extra for wrapping, but nothing was wrapped. Our couch was destroyed, wood furniture completely scratched, and many items are still missing. Steven has been unhelpful throughout this process, and we have been going back and forth for four months trying to get an update on our insurance claim, that he just denied because I left this review, and additional false accusations, even though we had a signed contract that included insurance.

I used PODs before and all my furniture and boxes arrived in good shape. That was not the case this time around. They were doing a good job initially but just didn't think it through as they filled the POD and I paid the price for not having a 2nd person watching them while I was busy. They also ran out of moving wrap (which they say they provide) and it became my problem since several of my lamp shades got dirty and dented from the move not to mention a few dented boxes. Unfortunately, at the end I was very disappointed with the low level of care and how the senior mover started taking calls and left the other mover working alone for a while. They had the nerve to charge me for 3 hours when it was barley 3 hours! If they had continued the way they started the job could have been completed in 2 or 2.5 hours at best!

They were very…read moreefficient, and the move only took about 4 hours both times (as opposed to a whole day when doing it with yourself and friends!). They will come to your place first to do an estimate. Then they will drop off boxes and packing tape. On the day of the move, they provide wardrobe boxes, so you can just hang your clothes on hangers. It saves a lot of time because you don't need to fold and pack them. Just hang them up, and you are done! These 2 moves were the easiest I have ever done (and I've moved a lot!). I highly recommend their service for your moving needs!

It started with an in-person quote, which they insist on since the companies who do over-the-phone and online quotes always overcharge. The final cost was actually less than the quote and the service and care were better than I could have expected. I have moved about 18 times and these were by far the best movers we have used. Travis, the owner, personally came to help pack and load our house and he personally drove the truck across the country. Talk about door-to-door service. We will use them for all our future moves.

We will be sharing photos of all the damaged items shortly on social media. For example, a $5000 TV was wrapped in one cardboard wrapper with x4 boxes loaded on top of it. Totally unacceptable.

He answered all my questions and replied back very promptly! Excellent communication. The quote was lower than other companies. We had other in-person estimates but it took them a week to get the quote to me. They also do NOT charge weekend overtime rates! Day of the move... the 4 movers were super quick, efficient, and strong. They clearly have a great system to get the job done. The laser engraver, machinery and even delicate plants all arrived in perfect shape. The final price was in-line with the estimate. WORTH EVERY PENNY Thank you guys!

Items arrived with holes poked through boxes, suitcases sliced open with a knife or box cutter, clothing damaged inside, pieces broken off chairs and bicycles. bubble wrap we put on furniture ripped off and surfaces scratched, etc. Every item marked fragile arrived damaged. The insurance offer for all this damage was $153, not even enough to cover one item. The comany cannot be sued as they closed their California office to hide from punishment. IF YOU HIRE THEM, NO ONE CAN PROTECT YOU. Ask their representative if they are legally registered in California - they are not.

We moved a couple of years ago and had sort of an awful experience (review available) so I was a…read morelittle skittish about using a small, local company again but it just didn't make sense for me to hire someone from the city to come down to San Mateo to move us. So after a lot of back and forth, I finally decided to hire Alex. Alex and his colleagues were GREAT. Hard-working, good listeners, respectful of our house(s) and of our possessions, great attitudes, fast as lightening... Alex came with his power drill and confidently and rapidly dismounted any furniture that needed to be broken down and put it all back together with the same efficiency in the new house. Nothing got lost, nothing got broken. Everything was in its right place as opposed to in a pile in our garage as per our precedent move. Keep in mind that as a small company, they don't have insurance and it will be up to you to provide mattress bags and plastic wrap unless you specifically ask for these materials. Alex has moving blankets to wrap valuables, but anything else has to be purchased beforehand by the customer. The truck is also 12', smaller than the bigger moving companies. I highly recommend Alex and his team. I hope we never have to move again, but if we do, I'll call Alex and his power drill to come and help us and I am confident he'll bring his great attitude and his speed with him. If efficiency, professionalism and excellent customer service are important to you in choosing your next movers, do yourself a favor and call Alex.

I was stressed about my 50" inch tv that i had just bought (birthday gift to myself) but was impressed by how they handled everything delicately. I had to move my mini bar, sofa, coffee table and a my bed to storage (Fremont to San Francisco) and they were able to get everything in one ride i liked that was able to save some money.
