There was record heat that weekend, and Shelly kept her cool literally and figuratively to seamlessly fix little things while the bride and groom were focusing on themselves and their wedding day. I had recommended that they use a wedding planner, but didn't know just how good Moxie Events was until that weekend, although I had suspected as much as the bride described meetings with Shelly in the months leading up to last weekend. Shelly coordinated the rehearsal dinner (at the wedding venue), as well as the wedding. There were separate rentals for each event, and set up and take down of all of those. In 100+ degree heat. Bravo. I do quite a bit of entertaining, and have been to elaborate and beautiful affairs. This was the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended.

For a moment I wondered if it was actually open to the public, but it is indeed. It's not a large space (smaller than the one of days past) but it is chock full of stuff. There is stuff to help you celebrate just about any occasion, from birthdays and anniversaries to graduations and holidays. Napkins, cups, decor, trinkets and favors all can be found here. And I just needed a couple balloons and they had what I needed here. The employee who helped me was friendly.

Rented 100 chairs for a wedding..... Good price and quality on chairs but not sure I would trust…read morethem. We paid extra for them to pick up chairs from the venue due to us leaving town after a wedding. They called and said we were missing 30 chairs and we would have to take care of it. Fortunately, we knew the venue owners well and had them go double count before they left. Miraculously, all 30 "missing" chairs were accounted for by the time the owners got there..... supposedly a "miscount". Seemed really fishy to us. If you are going to pick up and deliver the stuff yourself, they are probably fine, but otherwise..... I am not so sure.
