It provided the best value, but more importantly, the staff is excellent. From nursing to maintenance to dining to housekeeping, the staff there go above and beyond. They treat our family like family, and they have come to be extended family to us, and very important partners in care. We have the ultimate trust and respect for the staff, and that makes all the difference in the world when you are looking for someone to care for a loved one. We feel like our family members are very safe and loved there. In regard to recent events with Covid-19, the staff is diligent in following Ky State Rules and Regulations, and did an excellent job keeping the residents entertained while on state mandated "lockdown." This Race Ave office in the west side of Cincinnati has never disapointed. All of the aides have been dependable, respectful and caring. As my father has declined over the months a social worker visit monthly to evaluate him and they take steps to provide the appropriately trained aides. If there is ever an issue with an aide not being able to keep an appointment. It is handled and corrected at the office then I am contacted with the change. Noticing things immediately, encouraging fluids, getting a meal tray, finding an issue with skin integrity and handling it immediately. I can leave mom without massive guilt. And Missie, the social worker. She has been amazing and had gone out of her way to deal with our difficult and demanding family. She recognizes that we all just care about our mom and had gone way out of her way to assist us in finding long term placement for mom. My only wish is that they had a long term bed available for my mom but I certainly get why they don't. This place is amazing!! And I don't want to leave out therapy. They got my mom mobile again through a difficult and painful injury with a side diagnosis of alzheimers/ dementia. She can refuse and be difficult at times but they never let her quit.
