What I think sets Mario apart from other painters we've worked with is his commitment to getting the job done right. He assured us upfront that if there was anything that was not to our satisfaction when he was done, that he would make it right. He held true to this promise. Granted, there are going to be some oversights when you try to paint a house in two weeks, but he and another painter came back out and did a thorough walk-through and fixed every single place that needed it without question. If I could give Mario and Active Painting 10 stars I would. I hired Active Painting to paint the majority of my townhouse, including walls, ceilings, and trim. First, Mario's customer service was top notch. He was very prompt, thorough, and pleasant in his responses to me, even sending me pictures showing progress (as I wasn't living in the house during the painting). He worked around the schedule of some remodeling projects in my house that kept having dates shift. This was by far the best customer service experience I have ever had. And just as good was the end result of all the painting. I am a perfectionist and am very picky about having straight edges, even coverage, etc. The painting that Mario and his crew did was outstanding. These guys really care about quality and they know how to execute. They did patching and spackling as needed, finding spots I never even noticed. They removed switch plates and vent covers and replaced them when done. And all of the walls, ceilings, and trim looked absolutely perfect when they were finished. From beginning to the end of our project, Mario and his team at Active Painting were the ABSOLUTE BEST! Active gave our home a much needed makeover at a very fair price! We had our entire exterior painted including the siding, gutters, downspouts, soffits and shutters. They also painted our back door as well as INSTALLED a brand new entry door and storm door we had purchased separately...which turned out stunning! Can't forget our 25 year old deck that they power washed and stained in beautiful Riverwood. It looks brand new! Meticulous and professional, the crew showed up on time each morning. I'll start by saying I'm quite a perfectionist and have very high expectations, especially when hiring someone to work on my house. That said, Active Painting just completed painting the entire exterior of my house. To say their work was impressive would be an understatement. They had great attention to detail and it feels (and I'd say looks) like I have a brand new house! In addition to their great work, Mario and his crew were just great to work with. From the time I requested they came out for a quote to finishing the job, they were professional, kind and attentive. They all wanted to ensure I was happy with their work. My Wife and I were not sure where to turn for high quality interior painting. Everyone claims to be the best at this and that. I've heard and read it all many times before. I was looking on line and found Active Painting. I spoke with Mario and made an appointment for an estimate. This man took his time and went over EVERYTHING!!! He gave me an exact thorough estimate. I hired him on the spot. Mario was in contact with me at all times before they started. This was a difficult job with high ceilings, stair ends, corner molding ect. Mario was fantastic to work with! He was prompt and transparent in communicating all costs and options before the work began. We love our newly finished hardwood floors and trim! Mario went above and beyond during and after the work was complete. On the second day of work, the skylight in the house we had just bought and they were working in started leaking from a storm. The leak went onto our newly finished floors. Mario made a point to call me as soon as he was made aware. He also let me know about a leak in our garage. His communication on this issue allowed me to quickly resolve the garage issue and prevent further damage. Mario also sent someone to clean up and touch up the areas we were not happy with and during that time even showed me how to get scratches out of our new hardwood floors! Just recently had most of my house painted. It needed a facelift. I worked with Mario to come up with the right color scheme for the various rooms. Added crown moulding as well. He came out and took measurements as well as went over the rooms ahead of time. His crew was meticulous in the prep as I needed quite a bit of patching. Turned out better than I could have imagined. The crew was courteous, cleaned each night to ensure we could still use a few rooms while they worked. I cant stress the time taken to make every line perfect, every gap filled, every coat seamless. This is who to call if you want a job done right the first time! I hired a different contractor to repair my family room from water damage. Turned into total nightmare. There isn't enough space in this review to say everything they did wrong. I called Active Painting to fix the job the other contractor messed up. I was delighted when Mario told me he could fix the walls without having to replace the drywall again. The job was well done, according to my specifications, and on completed within agreed upon dates. All my questions were promptly answered to my satisfaction before and during the job. The painter masked windows to insure no paint splattered on them, and did the same on the roof of a first floor bay window so no paint splattered on it while painting the second story.
