FIVE STARS!!! GREAT VALUE and absolutely PHENOMENAL QUALITY of customer service and skill!! We hired Dominik and his team to paint our front porch of our 1906 American Four Square in Oak Park. The house/porch was last painted in 1999 and the whole place was truly was in desperate need of some care and attention!! But we could only afford to tackle a part of the total painting project and decided on the front porch this year. We got a few quotes from other painters and Red Sky Painting came in with a very reasonable price for the amount of work that we needed. Dominik came out the very next day after I'd requested a quote and he spent a good bit of time assessing everything- the wood quality, the rickety nature of the railings, the massive amount of chipping/peeling paint on the columns, and the rotting of the wood at the base of the support columns. He brought a Benjamin Moore paint color kit so we could match our new paint to the existing color. He was super thorough in his assessment and explained everything to me, and a day later I got a detailed quote texted to me. He is so efficient and a great communicator! Because it was the end of November, the timing to start was tricky, as the cold weather was soon to arrive. Dominik calculated that he and his team could break up the work into separate stages and complete each in the available blocks of clear weather, and have the whole thing done by the end of the month. The team came one day for scrape, prime, and wood repair. Another day to power wash. And then two days to paint. It is November 26th and true to his word, this is my absolutely gorgeous front porch, see photos!! I paint the rainbow steps myself every year, so Dominik didn't paint those, but he and his team did everything else including the window trims and as a nice surprise- added the door, for free! I didn't anticipate that and I was so pleased and grateful when I came home from work and my husband told me the team decided to add the door for free, wow!!! I am over the moon at the quality of this work, but more importantly, it is the professionalism and personality of Dominik and his whole team that really, really sets this business apart. I highly recommend Red Sky Painting. We are going to book them in the Spring to tackle the rest of the house exterior. I can't wait to see what it is going to look like fully done. We hired this company recently to powerwashing, stain & seal our large courtyard of 15 decks. Conscientious owner was always around checking on daily progress and available to answer any questions we had. Interesting enough is that I discovered that we had used this same company 9 years ago. It is suggested to re-stain outdoor decks ever2-4 years. While I wouldn't say th previous stain job lasted the full 9 years, but the point is they did a really good job. Also, key is choosing a darker color, as it takes longer to fade. We also opted for the more expensive stain that includes a sealer in it. All of the employees working on our project were really friendly,and thoughtful. We liked them so well that we hired them to paint our black fence around the property! ;-) read more

I've worked with 5 other painting companies and no one comes close to the work these pros do! We moved into a house and needed the entire house painted inside. Scheduled time for a few business to quote me, and Red Sky was one of them. I liked my painters I'd used before but they started to become difficult to track down. Dominik showed up and was very professional and thoughtful when he looked around. It wasn't a quick "spin around the room" and deliver a quote. We got quotes from four or five different painting companies for the work we wanted done on our new home. We had just moved in and loved the space. We did not love the beige/brown walls that came with it. In meeting with Dominic, the owner of Red Sky, he seemed kind and professional. The quote was also substantially cheaper than some other company's had been but the quality of work and paint (Benjamin Moore) was top notch. We could not be happier with the not only the work but the people. They showed up on time every day of the 9 days it took to complete the job. Dominic was there every day as well checking in, authentically happy to transform our home and excited to see the finished product. He was helpful with picking out colors and immediately available via call or text if we had any questions. Felipe, the lead painter on the job, was professional and talented at his work. But more than that, he made sure we were happy and was a pleasure to have in our home throughout the process. Towards the end, Felipe and Dominic went through the house with us more than once to make sure we were 100% happy with the work. Dominik and his team did a great job painting a large master bedroom walls with vaulted ceilings for me! We went from a grey taupe to a bright white and it required 3 coats of paint and longer than expected. After 2 coats I still saw some areas that needed another coat and I brought this up to Dominik and him and his team made sure it was perfect. We were a little nervous picking Red Sky solely off online reviews for major exterior (entire house -- siding and trim) and interior painting to prepare our house for sale. We couldn't have been more pleased. Usually, when you hire a services company like Red Sky, the boss shows up to sell you on the job and then you never see them again once you've signed on the dotted line. Not so with Dominic. For the entire two week duration of the project, he showed up every day -- sometimes more than once a day. The crew, headed by Felipe, including Slovak and Roberto, couldn't have been more gracious and eager to please. At the end of the project, my wife who is very detailed oriented, walked around the house with them pointing out little touch ups. Saw all the raving reviews so I called for quote. Someone answered the phone and I asked if it was Red Sky Painting. I got asked where I got the number, who I was and why I was calling. Felt like a mini interrogation for a public number for a painting service. I explained I found the phone number through Yelp and it was just awkward. Once that was sorted I explained I was looking for someone to give me an estimate for painting my new house. We spoke on the phone and texted. I thought we confirmed a time to come out for an estimate but he didn't show and didn't text me back about the time or being late etc. Waste of my time unfortunately.
