The facilities look clean and orderly, including the bathrooms and artist studios. I liked seeing all pottery made by the various artists. I also enjoyed the theater itself. While the seating itself isn't all that special, the acoustics are quality. If you expect something significantly higher than community theater here, you may be disappointed. While the performances were fine, they're not really all that polished and feel rather barebones (two actors playing one role in a production was rather strange). If you want a more grander theater experience but without going into Boston, consider Reagle in Waltham. (For all you Yelp police out there, yes, I paid $ here for tickets so I can review)

My first time back to The Umbrella Arts Center since the pandemic happened…read more I saw that they had a dinner and a show option on Thursday nights and the menu looked appealing, so I purchased the meal for $21. Dinner was available for pick up at the concession stand beginning at 6pm, while the show was scheduled for 7:30pm that evening. Traffic delayed me, so I arrived closer to 6:30pm. There was a game going on at the playground the next block over, so there were a lot of cars parked on the street, but parking was still not an issue. Dinner came in a brown paper tote and came nicely packaged and of a good portion size, so I even had some leftover. They had a vegetarian alternative (Nag's Head Roasted Yam, Grilled Zucchini and Squash, Caramelized Onions on Wild Rice (V)), but I opted for the meat - Starter: Hush Puppies with Maple Butter Entree: Pulled Pork Platter with Coleslaw and Collard Greens Dessert: Chocolate Flourless Brownie (GF) Catered by Nosh restaurant and the Concord Market. I was pleased with my meal. Sure the collared greens were a bit plain, but I was just glad to get a decent portion of vegetables with my meat and they were not overcooked. The brownie was individually sealed, and a little messy to eat, but quite good. And I had no trouble finding a seat at a table. In fact I had options. I could have grabbed a small high top for myself, but I decided to sit at an empty spot at the end of one of the 3 long tablecloth covered tables just beyond the concessions and ended up chatting with the pair beside me. I had a great experience at the Umbrella Arts Center! Quotes from the website regarding the show being performed that evening: A heartwarming musical that lifts up the beauty in second chances and the transformative nature of friendship. Percy Talbott is a spirited young woman seeking redemption. But in the small town of Gilead, she finds so much more. Based on the beloved film that took home the Audience Award at The Sundance Film Festival, the musical's rich score is marked by Americana folk rhythms, soaring melodies, and irresistible charm. It reminds us all about the resilience of the human spirit, the magic of new beginnings, and the power of community.

There are four classrooms, two teachers per classroom - it makes for a nice, friendly community. The teachers are wonderful and provide a warm and nurturing environment that builds confidence and encourages exploration, creativity, and learning. Our son thrived here. I was concerned that three years of preschool was going to grow stale but that was absolutely not the case. The little 2.9 yr old child who started two days a week was very different from the 5 1/2 yr old, going four days a week, that graduated but I feel each classroom experience met this growth and change very nicely. The school is in the same building as The Council on Aging and the school and the council make the most of this unique set-up with the preschoolers performing for the Council on Aging community at various times throughout the year, and the members of Council on Aging helping the children pick out Mother's Day gifts from their gift shop. The children work hard to prepare and are so proud after their performance. The location also enables the children to take a weekly walk and trip to the library and other walks around town. With one stay-at-home parent, we only needed a true preschool experience, not daycare, but the preschool offers Stay and Play on Mondays and Wednesdays that extends the day to 2:30pm. I found this very useful if I needed extra time in the day. We also took advantage of Stay and Swim where the kids are bused to Beede for a swim lesson on Wednesdays. The children are learning art, science, and math every day through their activities and play. The teacher shared all that the children were learning in her weekly newsletter. Stand-outs from this last year alone - Learning about Concord's amazing authors and then taking a hike in the same woods they hiked; learning about the world's most talented artists, making art in the style of these artists, then capping it off with a field trip to the MFA; reinforcing the value of giving back and helping others from a month long dedicated service unit where the children do things like collect old towels for animal shelters, candy for soldiers, and actually go shopping to put together a holiday meal for a family in need. Each year they put out a yearbook for the school. I love that he will always have these books to remind him of his time in preschool. The graduation ceremony was a beautiful (tearful for mom) send-off to kindergarten and, after speaking with my son on his first few days in kindergarten, it is clear that Carousel Preschool helped prepare him for an easy transition to kindergarten. As you can tell from this review, we are big fans of this preschool. :^)

They share the playground with the Concord Children's Center. They offer an optional stay and play program, swim lessons at the Beede Center, and a summer program. The kids go on many fields trips (local businesses, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, local farms, etc.) and walk to the library across the street on a weekly basis. Unsurprisingly, they have a close relationship with the Concord public school system, which allows them to really ease the transition to kindergarten (they even organize field trips to kindergarten) and provide valuable information about your kid's needs and strengths to their new school. We also liked that all teachers are experienced and mature individuals. You will not be leaving your kid with a 19-year-old. It's a well run, creative, and welcoming program.

She discriminated my kid as soon as we walked in the recital room. She asked us not to sit in the front row because she said my kids were "young". Approaching to the end of the recital, she ordered us to sit in the back because she said my kids were "noisy". She knew my kid had ASD. But my kid is high functioning and behaves pretty normally. There're other young children and baby(ies) in the audience making sound. My kid's teacher who was also in the audience approved in writing later that my kids were not disturbing. The teacher actually had suggested us to sit as close as to the front. We were targeted by Kate Yoder from the beginning. My kid has autism. We are minority. I had never met her before. My kid met her only briefly years ago. To rationalize her discriminated and targeted actions, Kate Yoder even made up some actions that my kids never did "legs in the air, lying on the floor" in writing. It was also proved by other audience not happening at all. It's so evil for an educator to put on innocent young children!! Whenever I requested Kate Yoder to apologize, the school canceled my kid's signup of the summer program and kicked my kid out from the school. And it happened twice. What a shame for a place that is supposed to be for beautiful things like music and care! Kate Yoder should step down from all her positions of this organization!

If you are looking to get an A&P liscense there are cheaper ways to go about. Look at the schools in Connecticut, Tennessee, or Kentucky. Those schools may take longer, but you receive a better education and solid knowledge of airframe/Powerplant/electrical systems. Military vets, look at the regulations governing your experience and what is needed to be signed off by the FAA to test. There is a school in Long Island that can help you prepare as long as you have your 2810-2 signed. NAA Bedford's instructors (because they are not teachers) read power points to you and hand out the same presentation you are looking at, essentially teaching you nothing. They go over their test prior to testing to "prep" you for the test. This is actually padding their stats for pass/fail rate and retention/FAA Testing ratios. They continue to promise to update their equipment and have yet to do so. Half of the equipment doesn't work or is missing parts. They Instead, bought a plane they can not afford to fix and like to show it off and tell potential students they get to work on it. This is yet another lie. Over the course of my "education" they continued to charge me money for missed time and left them on my bill and refused to give me a diploma or allow me to take my TESTS, until they realized that this was hurting their numbers and credibility as an institution of higher learning. The school may be under investigation by Martha Coakley as a for profit scam. Also, please visit with your parents and see if they want to pay 35K for you to associate with drug dealers. When you go to visit, parents be sure to watch the parking lot and take a look at the students or smell them as they walk by... High as a kite!!! Yup, the NAA is pushing these kids out to work on the airplanes you go on vacation in, your loved ones fly to visit you in... This has been brought to the administrations attention and the response was,"it's going to happen at any school/college." I hope this helps you in your future education in the aviation industry.
