I was skeptical when my middle daughter started driver's ed. My oldest child took driver's ed too,…read morebut she totaled her car six weeks after she got her license. That late-night call from the police that my child had been in an accident dimmed my enthusiasm for shelling out any more money for driving school. Behind the Wheel restored my faith. During the driving hours portion of the class, they picked my daughter up and dropped her off at home - sometimes at two different addresses - which was very single-parent friendly. The class also featured guest speakers: police, train conductors and truck drivers talked to the students about driving safety and told them cautionary tales of new drivers who'd taken stupid chances behind the wheel. When my daughter graduated from the class, she seemed to have a better grasp of road rules than her older sister. And knock on wood, she hasn't had an accident - much less totaled a car - since she got her license. When children start driving, it saves parents the constant hassle of dropping off carloads of kids. But it also ushers in anxious late nights of waiting up til the kids get home safe. Behind the Wheel renewed my confidence in my child's ability to go from point A to B and back again safe and sound, so their class fee was worth every penny.

They have all the instruments so anything your kiddo likes they can try. One on one music lessons are available and or join the school band that is tailored to their age group. They play in shows and practice together regularly to form lasting friendships with their band mates. Everyone who works here is fantastic and very musically inclined and knowledgeable. We finally feel like we've found our music home for lessons and all around musical enjoyment. Seen the movie? Yeah, this place is even better. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Went up to playing his first show on drums with the band, which they happily named The Snake Skulls! Price can get a little steep, but if you can afford it, it's one of the best places we've been for music lessons. The staff is amazing and welcoming. Kyle was terrific with the kids and would always stop to talk music with me when he could. Jeremy is extremely helpful with anything you need and would answer all my questions about drum tech, even helping us find a good deal on an electric kit for our son to practice on at home. Hopefully one day, we will be able to start lessons here again.

My cohort had very good class cohesion, which greatly has helped me and my entire cohort to have success during the program. My initial goal from taking this program was getting help through career services and getting introductory certificates. Centriq has done a great job for assisting with both of those items. I have been able to attend 3 different Centriq events, have utilized various career service meetings, and even found assistance through their recruiting efforts. So far I have achieved my MS900, and yet to achieve the AZ900 and SEC+ certificates which I plan to receive soon. I took the cybersecurity program which offered a great well rounded introduction into many IT concepts to someone who might have never seen them or touched a computer. Being someone who was already in IT prior to enrollment, I cannot say there was one time where I felt bored or like I couldn't use the opportunity to expand my knowledge by asking a question. The only time it ever gets boring is when we covered the curriculum for specific certs, which is just the nature of the test material and not a fault of the program. Whether you are coming in for a career change or a career start, Centriq definitely has the capabilities to launch you into the IT world. I cannot recommend it enough.

It's been a journey getting our kiddo to become an independent swimmer. We started out like many…read moreparents do enrolling her in swim lessons around age two or three to start. Those lessons were through the city, and we could never get her excited to attend. Most classes ended in tears, and she was adamant about not returning. Last summer we made really good strides at my parent's neighborhood pool and since my mom was a competitive swimmer and lifeguard back in the day she got pretty good instruction from her, which helped build her confidence back up. Flash forward to this winter, and I'm realizing that the clock is ticking on summer and our almost five year old really needs to up her game if she's going to attend pool parties and play with her friends once the weather warms. Enter: Aqua-Tots. To be honest I'm not sure I would have taken the plunge on an expensive little kid swim school had I not known folks that took their kids here. Aqua-Tots was recommended by one of our daughter's friend's parents and while pricey (it's around $30 per 30 minute lesson) I do think it's worth it overall. I was worried with the price point, and that it's a swim school in a suburban strip mall, that it would feel very impersonal and business like - like they would be trying to churn out as much money as possible. While I'm sure they are trying to make money, I don't feel like they are money gauging here. We've been going for probably two months now and I'd say even after the first lesson the front desk staff made a point to know who our daughter was and greeted us warmly each time we walked in. They even checked in with us to just see how it was going, how she's adjusting to lessons, and took the time to listen to her feedback, which I thought was super sweet. You can tell that they are engaged with their work and are good at it, which is partially why it costs $$ to go here, I think they likely actually pay their staff well. Now onto the lesson itself. The class sizes are capped around four kids which is great as they each get a good amount of personalized attention. The pool is kept warm so no tears getting in, and the teachers do a great job at keeping it fun for them. We've had a few tears going in here and there, and a few tears with going under the water, BUT she still likes going for the most part, and she loves her teacher. The bottom line here is that Aqua-Tots is expensive, there's no way around that fact, but they will teach your child to swim, they know how to coach young children, and they will do it in a supportive and welcoming environment.
