I have to admit that every time I take his class, I'm shaking because I get so nervous doing improv and talking about myself, but Michael is so real and gives it to you like it is, with love and so much genuine support. He really wants to see you win and puts his money where his mouth is 100% of the time. My commercial booking rate increased substantially during 2020, which was surprising to me because of the pandemic. However, the skills he teaches are super practical. This was my highest callback and booking year and I am also now repped by an incredible Commercial agent. Recently took a 4 hour CO-STAR workshop. The class went over 10 minutes because we were learning so much and having fun. We work really hard but the gratification of the knowledge Mike Petrone gives us is priceless. Mike looks young but he has over 30 years of experience. I am writing this review only because i want to help my fellow actors but i am happy keeping this knowledge to myself. Don't ask me why his classes are so inexpensive because all i can think if is when you have had the success he has and keep going strong, you want to pass on the knowledge and watch others succeed because his method works. You work hard in class and twice as hard on your own but he tells you how it's done. In 7 full months i've had about 70 auditions, which i thought was impressive. I started with Mike when I was about 9 years old and stayed with him for a little over 6 years, booking left and right. Without a doubt I was put ahead of the pack of my age group because of his insightful teaching and dedication. He is personal, professional, honest, direct, wise, and a working actor. I have taken the improv workshop and the commercial workshop and I learned a lot in both! It is definitely worth the money. You get to work on camera multiple times and also get to review all of your work at the end of class which leaves you knowing exactly where you're at in your craft and what you need to work on moving forward. If you want to book the jobs and learn "the craft", "technique" and practice tools to add to your "talent" enroll in classes with Mike. In less than a year, my memory has improved to the point where it (almost) isn't an issue yet. He's given me actor "scales" that I can practice at home.
