Waited a whole hour and still wasn't seen by the doctor. I should have known better because the gentleman checking in before was complaining about the same thing. People who checked in after me got taken back before I was seen. Offices really shouldn't double book. read more

I went here thinking It will be more professional. It all started right when I walked in the door. They asked ame to fill out so many pages with some many questions that are irrelevant. I waited an hour when most of the people got in and were seen right away. I arrived before and I had an appointment. When they finally called me, the person apologized but she was not the doctor. She complained about her job a lot. She did a lot of the reading tests and then I waited another 20 minutes and a young woman showed up on a screen and did the same tests I had just done. It was a telehealth visit and I didn't know. The previous person told me that I had dry eye and they were going to give eye drops but they didn't. Later they asked me to choose my glasses and they only had a very few choices. At the end they sent me a prescription that was very different and weaker than what I already have. I went there thinking i needed a stronger prescription. I didn't end up choosing my glasses. Now I don't know if I will find ones that are good for me. Please don't go to this place .Also they have a Dr Schultz picture in the waiting room but that is not the doctor that will see you. read more

I had came in asking to buy basically a new pair of glasses, but because it was so close to their break time I got hurried out by the lady telling me she can't help me, even though I have coverage and was willing to pay out of pocket. I had turned around to ask for my prescription to go elsewhere and order my pair of glasses, but when I had turned around to go back inside to ask they had locked the door immediately. Trash. I literally made an appointment in November for February for possible glaucoma and I am a new patient. That part Im fine with. what I'm not fine with is getting a bunch of texts on the Thursday prior to the week saying my appointments canceled and it's moved on the day from 2:00pm to 9:00am. attempted to call the office and I left a voicemail starting from Thursday when I got the message and I received no call back. I know Saturday and Sunday they are unavailable thats Ok. Called again today on Monday being told the doctor is going on a trip and My appointment Was scheduled incorrectly... Then they move my appointment to April.... So Screw me right? Also whoever I talked to on the phone, you sound kind of heartless. I understand you guys have a lot of patients but, a little empathy goes a long way. These people should be more aware of the human beings they're dealing with and use some common sense when you schedule people. I think those who make the schedules and answer the phones need remedial training. read more

I went several months ago expecting a real eye doctor. The man there was just telling me to look into this machine which was reading and figuring out my prescription . Then this remote doctor comes on a TV screen to ask more questions. I told her I have 2 different bifocal prescriptions that she completely denied. My glasses were way worse than anything that I've had. The man or nurse was unapologetically bashing Dr Shultz saying he's to old and needs to retire. I'd been to Acuity several times. Last time they messed up and used a prescription from a past year, so of course I had a hard time seeing out of my new glasses. They didn't check them, they just said, "Wear them for two weeks and if your eyes don't adjust, bring them back." Of course they didn't work, I could barely see out of them, so I took them back. They put the glasses on a machine and realized they'd used the wrong prescription and asked if they could put the right prescription in. I said, yes, and asked if they could mail them to me when they were ready. They said they could if I paid an extra $25. I asked, "You want me to pay extra for YOUR mistake?" They said, "Yes." Now my new glasses are in and I have to take a 2nd trip of 50 miles because of THEIR mistake. There was no apology. They don't care about their customers, and they don't care about their work. Do not waste your time. Had a consult last week and they said they would schedule me today for stye removal and I received no call for time. I had to call Dr on call and he told answering service to place me at 8:00 am. They have a horrible waiting room. They are one to three months out in scheduling. Staff is rude and incompetent. I hope this review will save you delay and frustration. I honestly could never recommend this place to anyone. It's been a 2 month journey here for me. Ordered 2 pair of glasses after an eye exam on December 1st 2023. 2 weeks later, I got my progressive glasses for everyday use but not my sunglasses. I kept checking every 3 days or so and nothing. Guess what, they are closed for the Christmas holiday all the way through Jan 2nd. I was having trouble with my progressive glasses. I complained and complained, then I finally just marched down there after I made an appointment for them to reexamine my eyes and the glasses. Sure enough, they had screwed up the prescription in my left eye. So we redid the prescription for the left lens, and it took a week longer to get the lens back and they put it in at the shop while I was there. I can finally see! In the meantime, I still don't have my sunglasses today (Feb 1st). I called them and left a message saying I want a refund 2 days ago. Guess what, no returned call. So, I called my Credit Card company and disputed the charge for the sunglasses, because I refuse to pay for this crap. It's between them and my bank now. Now that I got a good doctor (Schultz) in less than minute he told me what was wrong. Dr Schultz is a great doctor a ophthalmologist not a optometrist like the other doctor Merilli he put me through 14 months of complete troubles. It also cost me around $300 of trying all his gimmicks. read more

First the negative - the office location is bad, the gps wasn't able to find the entrance, we ended up driving from one parking to another looking for the address - none on the building, and then walking around the entire medical plaza until we found the door. That was frustrating because I had to apologize for being late! Then the very loud tv with an ignorant game show made it unpleasant - it drove my husband to go out and wait in the car. Then the good - the office is very efficient. They asked up front if I wanted new eye glasses, no I said, which cut out unnecessary steps. Better like this or like this, which I didn't need. The tech was fast and very kind, 10 minutes while my eyes dilated in a quiet waiting area, and the doctor was great too. I wish I could give you a 5 star. read more

After going here for years, I am calling it quits today. The exam that I have traditionally done in one visit was expanded to three due to lack of having an ophthalmologist working. Went today for a 10:00 am appointment, sat for 45 minutes, in a crowded waiting room. I gave up. I will find another eye doctor who values my time as much as they do their own. read more

I was very pleased with my experience at acuity. From the courteous front desk staff to the assistant, and to the lady that helps you with ordering glasses, they really hired some great people. The wait wasn't too long and the second waiting room with the tv is a great idea because you're not sent back to the main waiting room or sitting awkwardly in one of the empty exam rooms staring at the weird eye disease posters. Dr Gallardo was my doctor and she was awesome. She was caring and she made sure everything was taken care of before moving on. My family and I have found a good doctor/office and will be coming here from now on. read more

The only, yet most incredibly annoying thing is when 'phoning the main Acuity number (Not Yuccas) being put on hold, told three times during the next 15 minutes that "Your call is VERY IMPORTANT TO US" Then after fifteen minutes a voice simply says. "Thank you. Goodbye"and hangs up. Has happened to me at least five times. Infuriating beyond belief. If, instead of being put on hold I am invited to receive a call...I do. Usually fairly promptly. Why not dispense with the "YOUR Call IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT blah blah blah hyperbole" and replace with just using the "We will return your call" feature. read more

This is like a Western Dental cattle call chain store. The eye doctor was awesome for the 15 minutes of my exam. Unfortunately the office staff is incompetent. They are rude as if you're annoying and a bother as you enter. They ignore. They don't listen. They ordered wrong lenses. I had an appointment for glasses in August and have been back 5 times (they close at lunch and there's only one person to deal with glasses and she's often not there!) Even the messages they leave on the phone are rude. These people do not like their job. Hey office ladies every patient that enters is paying your bills. And NO my glasses are still not ok. For the fourth time they have canceled my appointment less than an hour from my appointment when I have a ride showing up within minutes. I am required to give Acuity 24 hr notice if I cancel. I am also required to give my ride 24 hour notice to cancel or I will be liable for payment. If I can find another eye Dr that takes my insurance I will surely do that. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Including lousy stinking Republicans. Fuck you Acuity! Get your fucking schedule together and pull your head out of your ass! read more

The kid doing the preliminary tests seemed to be in dire need of training on the equipment he was using, but seemed pleasant enough. Dr. Merali however, was only interested in one thing: rushing me through utilizing as little time, patience, effort and attention to quality as he could. No return visits for me. read more

The worst eye clinic ever, I've had an infection for three months, the wait to be seen was a month, was seen over 2 hrs after my app time, ok no big deal, i get in the room, the gal put some drop to dilate my eyes and says I'm they'll be sensitive to light, the sun,may see double, colors, for about 4-6 hrs, didn't ask me if I had a riide home, no sun glasses, so mind you the drive home was a bit tense, the assistant or a person in training looked like she was 12, kept knocking my head in the machine thing 3-4 times, checks out my eyes and says looks great, so the doc comes in, looks at my eyes, says ya they look fine, I say why cant I see my speedometer in the mornings, I have blurry vision all day, milky discharg, watery itchy, swollen lids, he says,, nothing lasts forever, now I'm getting upset, he then tells me, everyone is having problems right now because of the storm, I say, the storm was 2-3 weeks ago, I've had this problem for 3 months, he looks at me and said, it's normal for my age, I'm 54, if it was just that, that's ok, my eyes at this very moment are swollen and feel like I have pieces of glass inside cutting, very painful, for him to say this is normal, something is wrong with him, not sure how old he is, he looks 90, I'm wondering if he can even see.. I am definitely gonna see a reputable eye doctor and then file a complain,,, very sad, read more

I wanted a contact lens examination. I did not get one. What I got was a telecomunication eye exam, two techs who were visibly and audible ill tested me, exposing me to whatever they had. I waited and waited for my glasses, due on the 29th. They were closed on the 29th. I went in the following Monday and the glasses weren't ready but was promised a phone call before 4pm that day, which never happened. It's the 9th, I've today, the voice mail box was full so I pressed the number to speak to a person, which did happen. Guess what? My glasses just arrived today! I ordered them on the 14th, was told they'd be there by the 29th and it's the 9th of the next month. I will not be going back. Bad experience all the way around. read more

I have just had cataracts taken care of and the process was painless and wonderful. He and staff are so caring and helpful it gives new meaning to medical practice.
