I came across Summit Acupuncture while searching for a local practitioner, and I am so grateful to have found it. First of all,Kirsten Van Nostran, the Clinical Director was so incredibly professional, yet equally warm and kind during my initial workup. She patiently and attentively listened to me as I described my concerns and medical history, and she took the time to explain the potential benefits of acupuncture and how my overall health and wellbeing may serve to benefit from the treatment. The treatment room was clean and at the same time, it was relaxing. After explaining the placement of the thin needles and what would happen, Kirsten dimmed the lights and allowed me to relax for 30 minutes while I listened to soft music and closed my eyes. She came in a few times to check in on me, and I took the time to take a short nap as the needles did their magic. Afterwards, Kirsten came back with some reading material on acupuncture and we discussed my plan, which includes 6 weekly sessions, followed by a reevaluation based on my progress. The rest of the afternoon, I was so incredibly relaxed that I could barely stay awake or upright. I came home after running a few errands and then took the rest of the afternoon and evening easy. I would suggest not planning a busy day after your first treatment because you may also experience something similar. The prices are extremely reasonable, despite the fact that insurance does not generally cover acupuncture as a part of traditional healthcare plans. Their website is also very informative and will give you all sorts of additional information about the services offered, which include massage. I look forward to continuing my treatment plan, since I have already experienced less migraines this past week.

Plenty of parking in the back. Up front, the reception area is very clean and modern looking. Front desk staff was very friendly. So walking back to my massage, I passed a few exam rooms (chiropractors here) and a yoga studio. The actual massage room didn't have a lot of zen like atmosphere like other places I've been to had. No fancy aromatherapy. There was some faint music in the background. Linens appeared clean. My first masseuse was a young fellow and I was expecting him to be strong but even though I requested he keep massaging harder (i love deep tissue) i wasn't sure if he just didn't want to hurt me but he just didn't get the fact that I wanted a deep tissue massage. If I didn't have the two session deal I would not have come back. Lucky I did though, my second masseuse on another day was Maria. She had the hands and skill of a massage veteran. She could just palpate where all my knots were and I only had to tell her once at the very beginning that I wanted deep tissue massage with hard pressure and she knew what I was looking for. Mission was accomplished here. Will come back for another massage here, but definitely request Maria!

The facility was clean and nice looking! I liked the way it was organized with different hallways and doorways for different services.I visited with Dr. Bobbi and she took the time to explore injuries not pertaining to my back and based off that information got an x-ray. She found similar results from my knee in my back and was so thoughtful in explaining the results to me in a way I could understand.Since it was my first time she gave me warning before the alignment what it would be like and even told me when and where she would be putting her hands. The tools she used really targeted problem areas and were cool including acupuncture and pressure. The rest of the staff was beyond friendly engaging in conversation while you wait and genuinely seemed interested in your responses. This definitely feels like a place people frequent for not only the service but for the experience as well. I'm excited to go back and to check out a massage! They were very informative in letting me know that my insurance also covered massages!

I…read morefirst went early in my pregnancy for a prenatal massage because I was experiencing some SI pain and went back a few times for massages throughout my pregnancy because of how wonderful I felt after each one. Every encounter with the front desk and massage therapists left me feeling relaxed and like I got what I needed. I loved that the therapists were very knowledgeable about prenatal massages and I got a great massage/pressure. We also reached out to them for information about birth doulas, and we connected with Risa. Risa was incredibly helpful during our prenatal and labor times and as an outreach in postpartum. Being first-time parents, we had open conversations about what to expect with birth which helped us shape our preferences while knowing things could change at any time; they provided an incredible opportunity for us to ask questions and talk through concerns as we came closer to our due date; and when it came time for delivery, we knew exactly how to contact Risa and be sure of what we needed. At the hospital, having her by our side helped immensely through her vast knowledge and expertise. Risa kept us calm and ready with a positive, upbeat energy and helped navigate obstacles with our medical team as they came up and checked in with us postpartum to see how we were adjusting. We will absolutely recommend Risa to any friends looking for a doula.
