Once for Fibromyalgia and Arthritis pain, and once for insomnia. We are becoming leary of Western medicine, especially after noticing we both were experiencing some memory issues. When you start reading the information for every prescription medication you start to realize you may be harming yourself, and others are becoming wealthier at the cost of your wellness. Insurance Companies, including Medicaid and Medicare, need to add coverage for Traditional Chinese or Asian Medicine to their pharmaceutical coverage. In most cases it is less expensive than Western medicines, and less (or not) harmful to the patient. Big Pharma has too much influence in our Government, and the healthcare industry, so unfortunately it is not likely to happen. I'm a little ambivalent about this place, because while the herbs I got did the trick, it was the delivery of care that was awkward at best. Since the pandemic, the doctor does not work onsite. The woman behind the counter takes a picture of your tongue and sends it to the doctor. In about ten minutes, you have a phone conversation with him. You are sitting in a chair in the corner of the tiny store, talking about your private medical condition with other customers browsing the shelves around you. When I went, there was construction happening at another store across the way, so I had to yell into the phone about my VAGINA and how it wouldn't stop BLEEDING. The doctor has a very thick Chinese accent, which on the phone and with all the noise of construction, made him very hard to understand. I asked if I could text him directly and was told no, I could not. He told me to stop consuming alcohol and spicy food. I told him I don't ever have either. Luckily, the herbs did the trick. If I return, I think I'll go sit in my car after the tongue pic because I don't need the entire mall to know what's up with my lady parts. I would have preferred a Zoom appointment in the comfort and privacy of my own home and then driven over there later to pick up the herbs or even have them mailed to me. A Chinese woman was in the store sololy service for the customer. This Chinese women was use prejudice verbs with a discrimination attitude to the customers. Have been going here periodically over last 15 or so years. Was having terrible foot cramps for years, plus coldness in legs. Went to regular doctor who wanted to put me on whole body muscle relaxants (one of the side effects: sleep-walking). NO THANKS!. Instead went here. Had some acupuncture, plus took herbs for about 4 months. However, cramps got MUCH better after just two weeks of taking these (I had had to sleep on softer couch for 4 years prior to that...cause sometimes could not even touch my heel to floor without excruciating pain and would even get nausea.) So, about three weeks after going to Dr. Lee, could now sleep in my own bed. Also, another time went because I was tired most of the time - and once again, the herbs helped.
