Save yourself the regret and try it now! It's really not painful, the needles are much smaller than any medical procedure, and Sarah WANTS you to have a good + healing time so just communicate with her. I literally have been telling everyone I know. If you have a chronic pain issue don't just live with it, fix it! Acupuncture is recommended as a valid treatment by John Hopkins + Harvard. It's not pseudo science, it's real science that works with your nerves and stimulates neurotransmitters. I waited until after 5 sessions (~7 weeks) to post this review, but I seriously feel like I inhabit a different body than I had in March when I had my first appointment (posting this in May). I have had painful tension headaches and migraines with auras my entire adult life - and so does some of my extended family - so I assumed they were just something I had to manage. Jessica French and Nancy Bierma are the people I see for this and both are so friendly and knowledgeable. They always have product recommendations and information if asked but are never pushy about buying products. They recently added a massage therapist to their practice and Ray Neil is AMAZING. My spouse and I have both had massages and have left every time feeling relaxed and/or had pain reduced. The pressure is definitely not too light and she is generally intuitive about what is needed (I have asked for a little more pressure once and it was PERFECT), plus she has some great techniques for stretching/loosening painful areas. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Appointments are super easy to book online; if an appointment time is not available, call to see if they have some appointment times that are not listed online. The officer managers are all friendly and helpful. They also have some lovely products onsite to buy if you're interested, and they will usually offer you a cup of herbal tea after your treatment. They also accept HealthParters and Cigna insurance for acupuncture, just in case you have those carriers and acupuncture is covered under your plan. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Crocus Hill Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. I am thankful to have found such a wonderful, relaxing, and healing place.

Instead of opting for the famous cortisone shot, I took that cash and went all in on acupuncture- and that was the best decision of my life! I knew really nothing about acupuncture. I just knew I was sick of screaming and crying in pain. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't sit, I literally would scream in the car after a mile. I went two times a week for three weeks, then once a week.. And after about eight sessions, I could sleep again. I weaned down to even just once a month, and now over a year later I can just go in for a tune up. One time i threw my back out on a Thursday, and he fixed me up to leave for my two week vacation by the following Wednesday within 4 appointments. Good things take time, because I didn't have to go back. Brian and his wife are two of the friendliest, most kind and knowledgable people I have met in the field. I find myself living in SoCal without them, and decided I had to finally write this overdue review. Brian's treatments changed my life. His passion and desire to keep learning and to grow his practice are so apparent, you can't help but feel like you are so lucky to be in his care. I love a good massage (like most), and I've had my share of mediocre body work. Simon is exceptionally and extraordinarily skilled. His acupuncture healed my neuropathy and his intuition with pressure, rhythm, and flow is only surpassed by his therapeutic dedication and lovely personality! He has a way to make one relaxed and authentically cared for. My recommendation is beyond measure and I whole heartedly endorse his expertise and consider him to be amongst the most accomplished practitioners and it's so easy to rave about him because he's spectacular.

Particularly a pinched nerve in my lower back which causes frequent discomfort, and then a weak shoulder that often gets sore. After my initial Shiatsu session with Simon, I was sore, but the next day I felt amazing! And since my last session about a week ago, I still feel great - I highly recommend you try. Adding to that, Simon is very easy to work with. It's kind of a personal thing, having someone massage you, but Simon makes it both relaxing and creates a comfortable and calm environment. Sometimes we converse, sometimes we don't, but I never feel pressured to talk. He's also knowledgable AND patient with questions. When I first visited him, I had many questions that he happily answered with detail. I still have questions when I go to him, and he still has this kind & informative demeanor. Having extreme cat allergies has been very limiting - since childhood I have not been able to spend more than 15min in a cat owners' home without experiencing an extreme allergic reaction. I've tried every combination & dosage of medication, hiring professional cleaners prior to visits, online advice, etc. - nothing worked. The state's top allergist delivered a hopeless prognosis, stating the best I could do was avoid cats and invest in an EpiPen. Yet after establishing a treatment protocol with Dr. Kruse I've successfully attended multiple social engagements INSIDE cat houses without experiencing an allergic attack - and given the alarming rate of cat ownership amongst the millennial demographic this is nothing short of lifechanging.
