It's $120 for that time but it's the best 90 minutes I could ask for. If you are clear about what you would like and what you don't then you'll be fine. The women here are professional massage therapists, though I've heard other patrons treat them less than such. They work extremely hard and the results have kept me coming back. I tip about $60, which may be more than the norm, but it's what I think the service is worth. I should…read morehave told her to stop when she insisted on massaging two excruciatingly painful spots near vertebrae L4-5, at the spot where I had had spinal surgery. I blame myself for not stopping her from hurting me. The spots are painful more than a month later. Tui Na that I've had previously engages muscles by grasping and pulling, not by irritating nerves. I cannot recommend this woman's work, though she assured me that the pain was necessary to improve my function. I had the impression that she made it up as she went along.

Shannon, mother of 2 small kids, recently joined the ranks of massage therapists. And found herself under the mentorship of Caroline Harris. Caroline's new age approach to holistic healing, polarity and light, adds a spiritual dimension to massage that is very relaxing. Shannon is very mindful of her bedside manners and treats the body with respect. She was so concerned with too much pressure, so I can't say I got the type of deep tissue that I favor... BUT I can say, her approach was thorough, very on target with stretching me and with an eye for the human body even before contact. I could feel the energy flow as she performed her massage, and that was a very welcome bonus. I walked in excruciating pain. Walked out not pain free but relieved and walking much loser and better. They use natural oils and I LOVE the lavender. I started meditating and matched my breathing to her flow... and I went into a deep and relaxing sleep. I booked my next and look forward to coming back over and over again and experiencing polarity therapy and clearing chakra. New age you must be thinking... Weird... Yep, it works. Don't take my word for it. When you put down the advil and forget where your ibuprophen is... you'll be a believer. Customer service you may ask? Everything you expect and then some. They call when they say they will. They have a well organized list of the groupons, so if you don't have your voucher number - they will find you. Not sure why because what I highlighted wasn't focused on and what I wanted to avoid they touched. There is a definite language barrier. After my rubdown I let them know my neck was still be in pain and would like to address that but none of the ladies understood which was frustrating . If you just want to be rubbed down this is the place but if you are trying to address a specific issue I would ask for someone who speaks English and if they are an experienced licensed massage professional. The place was extremely clean but I will not be back.

At this point I think I can honestly say (having come here 4 times now) that this is the best massage I've ever received - ever. Sylar works very hard on my knots and tight muscles to the point where I sometimes wonder how he can maintain that kind of hand-arm strength for 60 mins. (frankly, I'd be exhausted). Also, Sylar sometimes will use different tools of his trade like hot stones or "cupping" devices if he thinks it will enhance my results. I will say that you should be very clear in your communication with Sylar about what you want worked on, how much pressure, if something hurts. He's never offended or gives any attitude from feedback - he just adjusts accordingly. I used to just wince in pain and keep quiet when other massage places would go too hard (painful!) but I know now that most massage therapists (Inc. Sylar) WANT you to tell them: "little less/little more pressure please" and I say this throughout the massage (I'm no longer concerned about offending a therapist). Try this place. It's a beautiful massage studio owned by a very kind & hard-working husband/wife team.

Massage was good - at first. I asked for medium pressure. The therapist must've thought I said "hurt me as hard and intense as you can," because for one hour I felt like I was being tortured. Seriously. I asked three times to lighten up, but it just got worse. It hurt like crazy. I stuck with it and at the end, she came in with a small, wet towel that went cold quickly. I left feeling slimy. My body hurt for days after, especially my wrists. I feel like I have carpal tunnel as she crushed my wrists. If you're into an extremely intense massage then this place is definitely for you. I like good pressure, but a massage should never hurt - especially not days later. I probably won't go back.
