I started coming to Acupuncture for All at least 4 years ago. I am from the area but don't live here now, just visit family - and boy, some of my family makes me reeeaaally need some acupuncture! I find it incredibly helpful to relieve stress and anxiety, in part because I'm just sitting in one spot, literally pinned down :-) and it is quiet/soothing music plays. I think. There are a bunch of big comfy chairs in a communcal room and two private rooms. Fred sold the place and I've only been back once with the new (current) folks but they seemed great too. I should have written this sooner and you shouldn't wait to go! Once someone was snoring real loud in the group room so I bring earplugs or airpods with chill music ready to go. I found this wonderful gem many years ago, when the clinic was in a small clinic area in Catonsville, and I was immediately drawn to the place's Earth-centric wellness. It was small and quiet, and you really did not know what to expect because, at the time, it was an open area with recliner chairs for the clients. It was so calming, and speaking with a practitioner about your concerns was comforting. There was no rush, and you really felt heard and relaxed there. Once COVID happened, like most businesses, they were not available, and I was looking for that little gem of a place, but found out they had moved down the street and had a new owner. I was very skeptical about going because of my great experience, and it always seems that once new owners take over a business, it's just not the same anymore. Reluctantly, I decided to give it a try at the new location and with the new owner, and I am so delighted that I did. It was the absolute best decision I made for my well-being in a long time. The new place was bigger and had private rooms, unlike the last location. They even added a massage therapist to the practice. All the practitioners are genuinely nice and care about your health journeys and your health goals. Dr. Stephanie and Brad are amazing practitioners; they ask insightful questions about your health goals, offer insightful advice to help you achieve them, and always make sure you feel better after treatment. I have become a complete and total client with the clinic and have learned so much about myself and my healing journey. It is wonderful to actually know that you are heard and seen by someone. I highly recommend this place to people who want to improve their health and are ready to take their health journey in a positive direction. read more

I am so grateful that I found Acupuncture For All! I only visit Baltimore a couple of times a year and on my latest trip I got off the plane with a shoulder that was just tweeked. I had this pain many years ago in Porland, OR and found the original Community Acupuncture clinic which solved the problem in only one treatment. When I found Community Acupuncture nearby I was very hopeful. Booking an appointment was easy, the staff was friendly an efficient, and the clinic was welcoming and perfectly peaceful. My practitioner, Lindsey, spent enough time with me to determine my needs, her treatment covered all of my painful places, and the pinning was careful and her touch gentle. She left me alone until I felt I had received the maximum benefit and then removed the pins quickly and painlessly. After I left I realized I'd left something behind and, by the time I turned around and headed back, they called to let me know and met me outside at the curb to return my item. Service above and beyond. Just as promised, the next day my symptoms have abated and I'm felling great! The only down side is the steep stairway leading up to the clinic. They said they are looking for a more accessible site so I'm looking forward to being able to bringing my 90 year old Mom. read more

Got the groupon deal for Acupuncture for All. Absolutely worth it. Business is on the 2nd floor of the building. I was a little hesitant about the "open" treatment area but that hesitation quickly went away. Quiet and peaceful are great ways to describe this place. Very thorough intake/consultation. Didn't take long to finish but it was definitely not rushed. Treatment is in a recliner chair. Felt relaxed and at ease the entire 40 minute treatment. Soft music played but earphones were available to make it completely silent. This was a great groupon deal and an even better find. I will definitely be back. read more

My first time here. I was looking for an affordable alternative for stress relief and relaxation. This place is very low key, not fancy at all. Which is I'm sure how they can offer rates on a sliding scale. The needles they use are virtually painless, unlike some other places that I have been. During my hour there I was fast asleep and was able to relax and meditate due to the soft music playing and white noise in the background. read more

I went to Acupuncture for All regularly at Fred's old location in Mt. Washington. I'm SO sad that he moved! I may not get in as often as I feel benefits me. I call it my "acunap". I always feel calmer, more grounded, peaceful afterwards. Acupuncture has helped fibromyalgia symptoms and post cancer treatment problems, including aches, hot flashes, and sensitivity in my teeth. His needles are gentle. Yes, you can actually fall asleep with needles in you ~ or even have a nice "trip" ha! Really, I can't recommend giving Fred and his fellow acupuncturists at Acupuncture For All a try enough. It's affordable, workable, and it works. BTW ~ he hasn't required appointments, but was getting REALLY busy at his old location. So I'd recommend making an appointment so you can be assured to get a session when it works best for you :) read more

Fees are very reasonable ($20-$40 per session, you choose what you can pay), the practitioners are gentle and caring, and the treatments have been effective for me. I've gone to Acupuncture for All twice and I was not disappointed either time. I went once just to try it out, and noticing that there is a sliding pay scale, it's really great for experimentation. Fred is really attentive and do not be afraid to tell him if a needle needs to be readjusted. I do not have the discipline to keep up with the treatments but I would highly suggest at least trying it one time. You'll probably fall asleep, which is kind of crazy considering you'll look like a little porcupine. :) read more

Acupuncture for All is an amazing service to the community. I first heard about it last year and was excited to try it. I love acupuncture but it is simply not affordable to me right now to go very often. With the sliding scale fees I saw I could get treated for 20 dollars which is doable. I have enjoyed my treatment experience with Fred how does a great job. He is also a very kind person and makes you feel at ease. The treatments I received worked and helped me improve mobility in my shoulder, and helped the edema I was experiencing go away. I would highly recommend this service. read more

I've just started acupuncture treatment recently to try and address some reflux issues as well as managing stress/anxiety. My initial treatment was at a traditional private practitioner last week and it seemed to help. The problem for me is that when first starting acupuncture, you really need to give it a few months of weekly (or more) treatments to see results. I really want to give acupuncture a chance, but at $80 per treatment, it's too costly for me. So I decided to give Acupuncture For All a try. I did some research online on the community acupuncture concept and was really impressed with the concept. It definitely brings the cost of treatment down, which, in turn, raises the chances for successful treatments by allowing people to actual come back for more treatments as they need them, not when they can afford them. Fred was attentive and friendly. In fact, comparing my treatment with him to my first treatment at a private practitioner, I would say that my experience was equal except that I was not stressed about whether I should continue the treatments because of the cost. The studio setting at Acupuncture For All was calmly comfortable and relatively quiet (except for some occasional street noise, as it is directly on Frederick Road in downtown Catonsville). There are seven chairs in the studio, at one point there may have been 4 other patrons in there getting treatment at the same time, but I hardly noticed. Everyone else is there for the same reason...to get acupuncture treatment and to relax, so there's nothing really awkward about the communal environment (in my opinion). It was a nice experience. I plan to continue treatments there and hope to find that it will bring me some long term relief. read more
