I visited acupuncture lounge for the first today and had a great experience. I have only received acupuncture once before and my biggest problem was I couldn't shut my brain off. My acupuncturist Matt was understanding and accommodating - with his help I fell into an extremely relaxed state. The entire experience was enjoyable from beginning to end, and the shoulder pain I came in with has now subsided. I'll definitely be back for more though! read more

Jen was very welcoming, as was the receptionist(I didn't get her name). Jen spoke to me briefly to learn more about my needs and then set me up on acupuncture bed. She provided the needles, crystal healing sounds and the smell of cypress to relax me. Soon I drifted off to sleep and felt more relaxed than I had in a long while. Very invigorating. While you share the room with others getting acupuncture, that is barely noticed. The music and white noise drowns everything out. Lovely, peaceful place. I'll be going back! read more

I love coming here! Jen is very sweet and caring. You can tell that she loves to help people and knows her stuff. She also knows I hate needles and she took the time to check on me often to make sure I was feeling relaxed. If you are anything like me, hate the needling but the love the results this is the place to go. They typically leave the needles in for an hour, but for me it is a quick twenty-two minutes and I am back to normal if not better. read more

A beautiful way to receive the amazing art of acupuncture at a an affordable rate & within a serene environment! I've been going here for 5 years! I started regular acupuncture a month before I wanted to start getting pregnant. I saw Hong Ma every week. I became pregnant within a month! The stars aligned I'm sure but she has a magical way with those needles too & I received regular acupuncture here weekly throughout my pregnancy. I had an amazing pregnancy & birth & I know acupuncture was a huge part of that. I've continued at the Acupuncture Lounge since then, weekly, & I've seen all of the practitioners since I started & I'm always happy with the quality of attention & service from each person. I first learned about this place through it's Grand Opening announcement on Mile High on the Cheap. I have walked past the large building on 9th and Washington many times without even realizing it was there! And I am ever-so-glad I found it! I have been to acupuncture many times, and this is unlike any other. You receive the treatment in the traditional way: the practitioner asks just a few questions (versus the therapy-like format that many practitioners use), you roll up your sleeves and lay down, they take your pulse and look at your tongue, poke you with some needles, and come get you an hour later. I thought it would be difficult to relax surrounded by so many others (you can hear people talking) but I loved it! The ambience was so calm, with big, light windows, and for some reason I found myself much less self-aware than other formats. It was nice being in a room full of other relaxing people and I loved not having to tell my story...again...Plus, you can pay on a sliding scale, so a session costs as little as $18. The idea is that you come more frequently, which is exactly what I've been doing. read more

I was looking for a Saturday appointment as a recent neck injury was acting up and giving me a massive headache. My biggest concern was the low cost - how good could it be? Well, it was fantastic!! Heather is experienced, professional and attentive. The "lounge" was comfortable with beds far enough apart that it doesn't feel like shared space. As soon as the treatment began, I started to feel relief and it has lasted the rest of the day and evening (so far) - this was the most immediate improvement I have had with this injury after using a variety of techniques (chiropractic, physical therapy, LED lights, Reiki etc.). I have been dealing with migraines for awhile and was finally able to get acupuncture based on the Lounge's great prices. My first time was great and relaxing, with a spa like feel and soothing atmosphere. I didn't know what to expect when it came to the community space, but privacy was not an issue and being around others did not interfere with my experience. I intend to visit frequently to combat my headaches for a price that I (as a college student) can manage. Great find! read more

Look below for my review a year ago July 2014 that details the treatment for varicose veins that I have been receiving at The Lounge . I now have been getting treatment for almost 3 years, once a week. It took everyday for over 50 years to develop the varicose vein condition that is being healed. It has taken only once a week for 3 years to heal. The extensive condition I started with has been reduced to a few small spider veins. I'm guessing another year or two of treatment. I understand The Lounge is receiving calls and questions as a result of my reviews and from those interested in the procedure. Does it hurt? When do you begin to see results? In answer to those questions, the healing experience is biologically unique to each of our bodies. The one commonality is be prepared to commit to the long haul if truly you want your circulatory system to be healthy. The cosmetic effect is a benefit of healing the circulatory system. The spider and varicose veins tell us there is a problem with the circulatory system. That is just one of the many ways in which our bodies talk to us. We choose to listen or not. Another tip : eat the white part of watermelon rind when you eat watermelon. It contains the amino acid citruline which supports circulatory health including vein dilation. A breakdown in vein dilation contributes to spider and varicose veins, signs of a compromised circulatory system. read more

I love this place. It has been incredibly helpful for dealing with my anxiety and high blood pressure. I have actually gone off my high blood pressure medicine since attending sessions here which I would have never guessed was a possibility given my family history. This is the most affordable acupuncture I have ever heard of. They also are able to take health savings accounts now. This is a huge deal for me because I don't have to sacrifice my health and well being because I am in a tough spot financially. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been consistently going to The Acupuncture Lounge every week for over a year now for treatment of varicose veins and spider veins which are genetic on both sides of my family. I worked with acupuncturist Matt Sweeney to develop a treatment with acupuncture and Chinese herbs that worked for my body. A year ago I thought I would never wear shorts again and looked forward every day to pain in my legs. Now, just one year later, I an happy to say that this July I am staying cool in shorts and share my story of healed veins without surgery, displaying my beautiful legs, with any one who wants to listen. At 63, I am gorgeous! I have since changed from treatments by Matt to treatments by Hong because own schedule changed in conflict with my being able to see Matt. I discussed the change with Matt, Hong, and the Lounge founder Sylvia Rojas, and all were supportive of what was best for me. This is an amazing place for acupuncture, with a staff of excellent practitioners. The price is hands-down the very best in all of the Denver area, making acupuncture affordable for everyone who wants to try this type of treatment. Treatments are done in a community setting, where the practitioner can make rounds to multiple folks in a wonderfully, comfortable, clean, aesthetically pleasing room. There are some spots near the window for more light (which I prefer) and others away, but all the spots are great and super comfortable and relaxing. There are some lounge chair spots and also some of the more typical massage table spots available. The music is always delightful and relaxing, and there is yummy free tea available for before or after the treatment. I have to admit that I enjoy the community setting WAY more than a boring private room. Even if the price was the same, I would take this very clean, light, warm, comfortable setting over a private room, but the cost here is unbelievably reasonable (sliding scale $18-$35). This place is a real treasure, and I cannot recommend it higher. read more
