I was skeptical of acupuncture, but Annette blew my mind with her ability to help many issues. Great experience.

I went for treatments a few years ago and was told they were covered by my insurance, surprise after several visits they then told me they were not and I owed full amount due. To top it off, on my last visit, the Acupuncturist stuck needles in me while I was face down and left the room, never to come back to check on me the whole session. I was left in a very uncomfortable position with the neck raised too high but could not get up as I had needles in me. Left in worse pain than when I arrived. Do not recommend. read more

I first started seeing Annette and Brianna when I was 30 weeks pregnant for sciatic pain. I was in such bad shape that I couldn't walk. I was physically and mentally affected by it. I never even considered trying acupuncture until at 32 weeks pregnant I was told my baby was breech and that acupuncture was something I could try. Annette was so wonderful and each weekly session was so much more relaxing and enjoyable than I ever thought it could be (I hate needles so the thought had always freaked me out). My baby was very active during the appointments and I did moxibustion therapy at home as well. I also combined this with Spinning Babies and swimming (per Annette's recommendation). By my 36 week follow up ultrasound, baby boy had flipped head down! So thankful that I did everything I could to help him get where he needed to be and I truly enjoyed the experience at Acupuncture Mama. Brianna is an amazing acupuncturist and healer - she listens and seeks to understand the challenges you are having and does multiple things to heal you. Brianna has a super gentle approach and I barely feel the needles going in! I walk in feeling tense and achy, and walk out totally relaxed. Annette is simply amazing. Her care, her touch and skills are wonderful. I love her space and the environment she has created and she is always wants to be completely accommodating to my needs and comfort (I'm pretty picky). I feel amazing after our sessions - incredible energy and just completely restored. She really takes the whole person into account - not just the Traditional Chinese Medicine approach (which I know is already very comprehensive but can be done more "dryly" and not always so tuned into how the person is actually doing while receiving the work). Even when I could only go once a month she remembered everything going on in my body and I just felt the heart she put into her clients. I've been going to Annette for about a month now on a weekly basis. I'm seeing her for a treatment plan but I have a feeling I'll be continuing to work with Annette for many years to come. She is so personable, friendly, and just downright caring. She's also easily reachable and has been so easy to communicate with. I truly enjoy my weekly acupuncture sessions with her. I went in never having acupuncture before and being pretty worried that I'd experience pain but she put my mind to ease. If I ever feel any discomfort she's been able to slightly make an adjustment and poof! the discomfort is gone. Each session I practically fall asleep. I enjoy the warm rice pad for my neck and the eye mask as well as the gentle music playing. Annette has been treating me for several ailments over the past couple years, and I've found relief where I hadn't with other acupuncturists before. I found Annette Romios on Groupon and bought 3 sessions with her to check out her practice. She's fantastic! I utilized my sessions when I pulled a muscle in my back. I remembered from past experience that I can treat it without medications and instead with the trifecta of acupuncture, massage and chiropractic modalities. It worked! Between the cups, fire cups, emotional acupuncture and spot treatment acupuncture I feel like a new person! I come here usually weekly. I get help with chronic pain, allergies and inability to stay asleep. Annette helps me with all of these things in a non invasive relaxing atmosphere. I found Annette thru Groupon. And I am glad I did! I have been having lower back problems for years and it has gotten worse after my daughter arrived. She is 20 months now and I have thrown my back out multiple times. I really wanted to get back into working out but I was finding every type of exercise was hurting my back. I first decided to try a chiropractor and that did not work for me at all. I am not a fan of the intense adjustments that are made to your body. I needed something much more gentle and effective. I didn't get any relief from the chiropractor. Also I had heard great stories from friends about there acupuncture experiences. I felt relief in my lower back right after the first visit with Annette and days later. After two more visits I can say that my lower back and the knots in my back are almost gone.
