I came to acupuncture for no other reason than out of curiosity. Making an appointment online was easy. Once at the office, I filled out a questionnaire about my health and any ailments that I might need to have addressed. Overall I am a happy and healthy person. I told the Dr. so during our brief get to know you session. She recommended I go for the overall rebalance treatment. I got on the table and she inserted 12 needles from toe to head and then turned on a heat lamp for my feet and let me be. She checked on me once during the session which was nice. I am not sure how to explain what happened, but I did feel some sort of energy or chi as she explained it move throughout the pinpoints. At first I fell into a deep trance like state. So relaxed and in touch with the energy moving through my body. Then, I saw everything in the room so clearly and I was wide awake. I can't say I felt any different hours or even the next day, but I did appreciate being able to experience that type of sensation of chi. After the time was up, she removed the needles and I paid my bill and was on my way. The one downside to the appointment was the room was near the front of the office and I heard the comings and goings and conversations of the patients and doctor. That did take away from my attempt to focus and relax. So did it hurt? A few of the insertions I could feel a quick poke but no, there was no pain or discomfort during or after the session. I may give it another try down the road if my stiff neck acts up again, but from what I've read, for improved results the sessions should be more often than not. And as for me, at this moment, I am feeling fine and not in need of any special care. But if you have tried other avenues and are still in need of some healing, Acupuncture Vegas may be just what your body ordered. read more

I'd like to live there since I'm usually at my best the day of acu but.... how bout settling for some Acu tips: Don't be a walk in, try to schedule even 1-2 days in advance, Naomi tries hard to accomodate u unless u no show Don't eat a heavy meal before going. I usually have a yogurt. Don't worry if u are tired before going. U are supposed to fall asleep. Closed Sun, Mon & starts 1100 - whenever but usu closes 7 Note that the needles are hair / filament thin so really do not hurt You might get a little foggy after acu (unless u do fall asleep, then u'll be energized) Come early to fill out the paperwork but anyways, it's always best to come early That's all for now. read more

My first experience with acupuncture was amazing thanks to Dr. Alyssa and Xani. I came in looking for relief and willing to try something new and I could not have picked a better practice to visit. They make you feel welcomed and are very caring and kind. The office itself is small but has 4 rooms that are clean and make you feel relaxed. The actual acupuncture is not painful at all. In fact, you barely feel the needles at all. This is coming from someone who used to be terrified of needles, by the way, so you know a person like myself would not put up with them unless it was actually bearable. They are about as thick as a strand of hair. If you're on a journey to better your health and are looking for a different approach than western medicine, please consider going here. I've never tried acupuncture before and I'm very skittish around needles but I'm willing to try anything to help our fertility issues. I just had my first session last week and Dr. Heather Brookman was amazing. She did a thorough evaluation and was very informative. She walked me through the process to alleviate some anxiety. I had told her that I haven't been sleeping well and she incorporated that into the treatment as well. My first time seeing Dr. Heather Brookman. I have had Acupuncture before so it was not a foreign concept to me. My experience of Dr. Brookman was that she was easy to speak with, knowledgeable & kind. I am a nervous patient regarding Western medicine's needles, biopsies, surgeries & medications. I understand that when they are necessary, they can be extremely helpful. That being said... Having acupuncture needles inserted sounded terribly scary to me years ago when I first was exposed to this 3,000 year old science. It is not scary at all & there can be some excellent results & changes in as little as 24 hours. Improvements can also take multiple sessions & some time! When there is an area of stagnation & the needle is inserted you may feel something. That is actually a good thing, as results are going to occur. The sensation subsides & is quite tolerable. One of the after effects can be feeling sleepy, so plan on enjoying the peaceful, relaxed state after an acupuncture session. read more

I started seeing Dr. Brookman after my husband and I were trying to conceive for a couple years, with no luck. Dr. Brookman is very kind and is super knowledgeable. I visited her weekly for several months for infertility treatment. Along the way, she suggested taking certain chinese herbs and suggested changing my diet. I'm glad to say I am now 17 weeks pregnant! Coming here every Saturday morning was a treat. Her office smells so good! And the naps I've taken while being treated were some of the best naps. Very welcoming office. All was well until the peaceful cd skipped and turned into a mess of rain noises and static. That of course made me flinch, which took my acupuncture session to a whole new level of painful. I was still charged $75 and have spent another $25 on heating pads trying to correct the damage done. I called in to cancel my next appointment and had a less than friendly response. Ill be finding another place to have acupuncture done going forward. I was in a car accident October 2011. I started going to a chiropractor shortly after, and had continual on and off neck and upper back pain. In May 2012, my neck/upper back started to swell, and I felt constant pain.I lost weeks of sleep, couldn't sit/stand for long periods of time, and I was absolutely miserable. When I went to my chiropractor, I was told I needed to get an MRI, and when the results came back (scarring on my muscles, and slight slip disc) I was told that I needed to quit my job to dedicate my time to chiropractic visits for 18 months and that I would be in constant pain most likely for the rest of my life. I told my mother about it, and she looked into alternatives. She called many acupuncturists, and Naomi really stood out to her. I have now been going to Naomi for about a month, which is around 6-7 visits total and I can honestly say I am 100% pain free. I go once a week, now every other week, and it is the most relaxed I feel all week, really can't feel the needles going in, and not at all seconds after. As a matter of fact, I knock out and sleep the whole time, wake up a little groggy, but get super energized the rest of the day, and feel no pain the rest of the week. And, if you have a test you need to study for, tell her, and she'll put needles in your head. It'll make you smarter, and you'll be energized enough to study all night ;) She is the absolute best. Like just about every other gym rat out there I injured myself at Crossfit, badly. I was completely desperate and mildly crazy with intense, unending low back pain. I had tried stretching, hot yoga, ice/heat, physical therapy, massage, mobility, chiropractors and had no relief. I hobbled (literally) into her office and told her my "sad" story. She counseled me on what she thought was going on, how inflammation works etc. ( I think she even had to help me take my pants off as I was so handicapped by this point from the pain.) I was an acupuncture virgin, I am so glad Naomi was my first experience. She is calm, precise, fast and caring. An hour later, one session, I walked out of her office with far more ease. That evening I had my first glimpse of life post pain! Huzzah! Thrilled with my initial results I started Googling everything that could possibly be cured with acupuncture. It took several more sessions, an MRI etc. to figure out that I had a herniated disc, through her and an excellent DO I am finally almost completely healed. I have been seeing Dr Brookman for about 6 months. She is a very thorough and knowledgeable acupuncturist. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is always very helpful with all my questions, she has advised me with some dietary concerns as well. I am a bartender with symptomatic sciatic pain, which I have found out is piriformis syndrome from hyperextending over counters and the service well at work. I had tried chiropractic,whirlpool and massage therapy, tennis ball therapy, roller therapy, inversion tables...you name it, I tried it. I had pain every day for over a year, I finally found an answer, it took me about 4-5 sessions before I found complete lasting relief, now I go in once a month or so for a session and I have excellent results. I had my first acupuncture session days ago. IT WAS AMAZING! I am seeking acupuncture because of my anxiety. I was not looking to see a western doctor and be out on an anti-anxiety pill for the rest of my life - I found my answer with acupuncture. Needles: it was a weird sensation, there was no pain but I could feel my nerves being stimulated. Once all the needles were in I felt like a humming in my body that all the needles were communicating. This was my first time here but not my first time with acupuncture I didn't feel the Dr took the necessary time to get to know me or my medical history it was one Dr working alone with multiple patients being treated at once. I do understand it was one person working that's why I'm willing to give it a second shot . I hope in the future more questions will be asked. My Dr has me on medication after the appointment the Dr gave me herbs to take but didn't say take with medication without later anything didn't say what the herbs were for. So grateful I found this place! I'm new to the area. I've only seen Dr. Brookman so far, but it's been great. She is very kind and SO gentle! The most gentle acupuncture I've ever experienced. She took the time to listen to all my concerns. The office is nice and didn't have any overwhelming scents, I can be very sensitive to environments and I felt good there. The office and treatment rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy location to find. Depending on parking you might have to walk a little bit. I have been in pain for a while now since my job consist of a over working regiment to my arm for the last 17 plus years I tell everyone my arm is falling off! I found Dr. Naomi who has been treating me now for the last few weeks and I can actually feel my arm again so that I can continue on with my career!
