Do not recommend. Considered an immediate about-face/departure as soon as I entered, based on how not clean the place looked. Very much wish I had listened to that intuition as I have been dealing with infection at the site of every acupuncture needle application for 2 weeks now. Dr. DUK is ah-maz-ing! I called this morning & they fit me right in, I was having some serious shoulder & neck pain for the last 2 months. I have tried everything. I've tried other acupuncturist, massage, trigger shots, muscle relaxers and the list goes on and on. Nothing would give me relief. Dr. DUK assured me that he would get me pain free. He is very busy so he works on multiple patients at a time. He set me up with all my needles and then had me relax. Later, he came back and did some cupping. He informed me of everything he was doing every step of the way. Lastly, he added some seeds and had me lay down for a minute. Mr. Lee is a very traditional Dr.. I went more than slightly skeptical of this therapy as I have talked with was with mixed results. I went there as a last resort as it were. I have suffered back pain since my early 20's, I'm 59 now. I have tried nerve burns/blocks for the last two yrs. they have missed it the last 3 times. I can't take any more meds. so I went to Mr. Lee and WOW! OH WOW! was bent over is severe pain entering and left with the pain more than 2/3rds gone, I was so relieved I sat in my truck just amazed. since I have returned every other day for 3 visits and I can walk without pain. it's not 100% yet but I am so relieved that this therapy ,that I waited too long to try, is working!!!! Me and husband went here couple of times. First visit is $ 100. Second visit is supposed to be $ 65.00 but charged us $ 70 instead . I tried paying with Card and they told me they need cash. Anyway, the first visit pain is gone for an hour and went back Even before we got home for both me and hubby . I told hubby let's comeback maybe it needs few more visit before pains goes away. But it didn't help at all. Both feet still hurts. My back hurt more. It's true about the office being clattered which I can overlooked if the treatment works. For me clattered is ok as long as long as I see that they sterilized the room every patient which I don't think they do. I don't see any cavi wipes or plastic barrier. The bed disposable cover seems not getting change every patients. The doctor don't use gloves and don't washed hands every patient. He went to the room where I was ... and then went directly to my husband room beside mine without washing hands. I know I dont have any contagious desease but what if it's not me what if it's other people? I don't feel safe. We won't be back. read more

The place is at by the intersection of Maryland and Karen. Was hard to find at first but once you see the big Duk Acupuncture sign, you're at the right place. It, right behind the Cash Loan place. Plenty of parking in front and on the back. Entry inside is through the right side door from the front parking space. Once inside, it doesn't look much of an office but a home. No smoking allowed! They accept cash, debit or credit but you will be charged 1-3$ fee if you use your card. Just bring cash to avoid unnecessary fees. First visit is 100$ and 65$ after. Dr. Duk Joon Lee is an amazing acupuncturist! Amazing person. He's like an angel sent from heaven. I have never met a doctor who prays over their patient, and it's only my first time coming here. First visit was $140 for my wife then he told us follow-up costs were $60 for treatments! Today my wife went and he charged us $140 ! He refused to use my credit card and refused to use our insurance ! This guy is a money hungry liar and his lack of cleanliness should be a reason to shut him down! He doesn't sterilize the suction cups he uses and everybody has to share each other's germs! The place is a complete dump! He needs a receptionist and a cleaning crew! Went into to see Dr. Duk with a lower back pain, pain went from a 10 to a 5 after one treatment. It is the next day I am writing this and have recovered to a 3 out of 10 pain. I have scheduled another treatment for tomorrow, highly recommend. read more

Went to this guy a few years back for acupuncture. He came in to adjust my needles and had on bloody gloves from another patient I stopped him from touching me. Left and never went back horrible practice!!!! If you can't afford to change your gloves per patient you shouldn't be in practice. read more

I was uncomfortable my entire visit. From the area, to the parking, to the clutter inside the office. I didn't want to sit down, felt very dirty. He's nice, but definitely a hoarder. Dr.Henry Lok is Great all the way . I was hobbling around for what I thought was a muscle problem.Pain in my upper thigh. I made an appointment, everyone was nice, Dr Henry listened to every word I said. He also introduced himself when he entered which is a rare occurrence . He asked me to walk down the hall and come back . When I came back he said "You have ostwo-arthritis in your right hip, you need a hip replacement ". He sent me for an x-ray , and a few days later I went back to his office. He explained again that I need a hip replacement, refered me to a surgeon. Got that hip. read more

I suffer from a pinch nerve in my neck was told by the doctor they needed to cut the back of my neck open and replace disk!! I told them heck no and was referred by my friend to dr Duk. I was apprehensive because I thought what can he do, but he fixed my issue with one treatment and told me not to allow anyone to cut on me that he could fix it and thank god he did. Dr. DUK is a very sweet & intuitive person. I called on a Wednesday & they fit me right in, I was having some intense shoulder & neck pain. Don't let the crowded waiting room scare you, sometimes patients have family members waiting on them & also, Dr. DUK can work on multiple patients at a time. Omg when we got there we almost walked away but I was desperate for some pain relief the clutter in the office was outrageous, we overlooked it and as the dr took me to the back he didn't explain anything to me just started the acupuncture and when I was done he just said come again tomorrow and gave me some herbal meds and so I went the next day it helped me somewhat but not to say it worked , in reality it looks like he lives in his office . read more

I went in just about a week ago for a knot in my back. I'd never done acupuncture so I didn't know what to expect. The treatment itself did not hurt. In fact, I didn't notice any sort of difference at all even right after. Then I went to sleep that night and it was like all the muscles contracted up after treatment and I have been in excruciating pain ever since. . I can't sleep, I can't drive, I can't hardly even sit. So I called before I arrived to double check on my appt at 330 and to be sure they took my insurance. I get a HELLO!!?? I m not sure obviously that I even have the right # ? It's a dr office. APPARENTLY the Dr answer his phone today not what I had experienced when I made my appt. I say I thought I was calling a dr office he says yes it "me"????? Ok I Have an appointment I'm on My way just double checking that they take my insurance. I arrive at the really run down building with bars ALL AROUND !!and homeless people laying 8 feet from the door. I'm so hesitant to get out of the car! So Dr Duk is amazing. I was in town for a triathlon (Silverman 70.3 Half Ironman) and I had my pinched something in my back and sent my whole back into full blown spasms. I could barely walk and was in a lot of pain. My back was a twisted spasming mess. I am a young guy (32) so this was not a common thing to happen to me. I called Dr Duk, and he was able to see me right away, even staying open later to give me time to drive over. I saw him 3 times over the course of 2 days and he was able to stop the the back spasms and relax my back muscles. I was able to complete my half-ironman with no back pain. (for those that are not familiar, that is a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run). I would recommend Dr. Duk to anyone. read more

He worked wonders on my discomfort and since then continued treatment for tinnitus, depression and anxiety right after my dad died. Dr. Lee is kind, gentle and compassionate. Don't let the location steer you away. When I pulled to the office, I noticed bars around every window and I nearly drove back out. However, since I drove all the way from Henderson I gave it a shot. When I walked in, I felt like I was at my grand parents home. I was especially nervous when there was a lady sleeping on the couch??? I nearly walked out then but the receptionist said hello and welcomed me in. (Turns out they are just helping a homeless lady get warm which is admirable, just doesn't show well initially). I signed in, and waited 10 Mins. The Dr came and he was the most genuine person ever. He knew exactly what to do and did it well. Made lots of small talk and seemed to care.
