The final call was to collect a balance and he waited two weeks before doing that. There were several texts send by me; ie these guys are great etc. He did not appear to be bottom line driven but with his focus on my satisfaction. Of course all business owner want to get paid but that never felt like his priority. It's an art to make a client feel the way I did upon completion. Well done! For the reviews that discuss quotes and didn't select them, the cheap comes out expensive. I would expect most painters to have similar quotes and recommend getting 2 or 3 but paying a bit more for a great job done quickly, that's a no brainer to me. fyi; NEVER accept the cheapest quote and there's a subtle art to a contract negotiation. Don't play games and say what your budget is up front. It makes things go smoothly from the start and the business owner will appreciate your forthrightness. The company will say yes, no or counter. My house looks amazing and that was my #1 goal. It's important to mention that I took a bit too long responding as I am a very busy guy who travels a ton. They listened to direction well, and corrected any issues that arose (they put back a light fixture in the wrong place and moved it after we pointed it out). I feel they knew what they were doing and the best products to use. They covered our flooring and elements that were not getting painted to prevent damage and I can't find any paint spills or smudges anywhere. Our project also involved a lot of wallpaper removal. I was nervous about this because if the wallpaper is not removed correctly the wall can be damaged or leftover wallpaper glue can cause the new paint not to adhere correctly. But it seems they did a great job with that part too. They communicated well with us via text. We weren't able to check on the project in person every day so they sent photos and details on progress. Removal of popcorn ceilings I used Gaucho's Painting Service…read moreto remove the popcorn ceilings in my condo. Their work surpassed all my expectations. My living room ceilings were damaged, had brown water spots, peeling popcorn, and needed much repair work. The ceiling boards did not meet, so there was a large gap, which is what I think may have started the problem. Additionally, someone had tried to repair but the ceiling still looked awful. Before starting, Julian told me that the ceiling would be smooth when he finished. That was hard to believe because it looked like it was beyond repair. However, by the time the job was finished, there was no sign anywhere of the previous damage. It was like there had never been popcorn ceilings. I was overjoyed. He not only repaired the ceiling, but he primed it and did two coats of paint. I don't think most companies would do all of that work, especially at his price. Also, they are so clean and neat. Actually, my house looked better after they left than it did when they started. Even while the work was being completed, I was able to stay in the house. I asked that my bedroom be done first so i would have a place to sleep, and do my office last on a day when i was not working remote. He did exactly that. Never, did i smell any fumes or dust or anything uncomfortable. They went beyond the call of duty, and are also extremely quick. job only took a few days, just as he said it would. Work is very detailed; you can tell he really cares about the quality of his work and said when his clients are happy, he is happy. Both he and his wife are very professional. They were polite, punctual, kind, and trustworthy, and most certainly well worth the price. In fact, I thought his price was extremely reasonable, because without that, I could never have afforded to have this work done. I just can't say enough about this company. I wish he did other types of renovations because i'd certainly hire them for any and everything, because I know the quality of his work and know that he would do a stellar job at anything he was hired to do. I love my condo now; the new ceilings have brightened up the whole home. I and so grateful that I found them. Back in May, we met with Ernie from B-Line Fencing for a quote on a new fence installation. After…read morereceiving HOA approval, we proceeded with signing a contract and paying a deposit. Unfortunately, our experience quickly became frustrating and disappointing. Just days before our scheduled installation, we were informed that the job required a permit from the City of Rock Hill--a detail Ernie, as the professional, should have known and addressed upfront. The project was put on hold indefinitely. From there, we were repeatedly asked for additional documents, such as our plat, HOA approval letter, and later, specific approval related to an easement on our property. While I complied with each request, it was frustrating to keep learning about new requirements only after we had already entered into a contract. Ernie eventually told me the permit had been denied and mentioned that dealing with Rock Hill's permitting process had become a "nightmare." The last request I received was for an HOA easement approval letter, which I provided despite my growing frustration. I never received a response after that. When I followed up by phone, I was informed that Ernie had decided to cancel the job altogether and did not want to deal with it anymore. I did receive a refund of my deposit, along with a letter referencing several phone conversations from B-Line's office. One of these claims--alleging a call on July 24th with a dismissive response from a man who answered my phone--is completely inaccurate. No such call occurred, and I suspect the wrong number was being used. I'm sharing this review so future customers are aware of what we went through. We're now back to square one, starting the process over with another contractor. While we understand that permits and approvals can be challenging, much of this could have been avoided with better communication and preparation from B-Line.
