Mandy was the best wine-ista!! She was incredibly attentive, friendly and provided us so much knowledge about their wines. The best part was that the winery was dog friendly for both inside & outside - our two puppies were able to wander around as they please! We were blown away by the tasting which allowed us to sample 9 different wines. We loved the wines so much that we ended up buying 5 bottles to take home. Mandy also provided snack pairings with some of the wines - we had some locally made dark chocolate as well as siracha pimento cheese. The wine tasting room was also beautiful and quite spacious. There were adorable merchandise for sale including antiques, purses, jewelry, personalized towels. There's also a lovely outdoor area and seats on their porch for warmer days. read more

*pet friendly inside and outside!!!!* We had a somewhat challenging time finding wineries that allowed dogs inside, and since it was august in NC, this was music to our ears that they do! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the friendliest winesta, Mandy, who has been there for over 4 years. She made us feel immediately comfortable and welcomed. She helped us get settled at a table good for our pup, and told us about the tastings. They have an incredible deal - 8 tastings for 15 with a take home glass or 12 without the take home glass; however, there were 2 bonus tastings, also a pairing with dark chocolate and a pairing with cheese (also available for purchase, which we did). Mandy's knowledge and enthusiasm were unmatched and we truly had the best time. We have done a lot of wine tastings over our time together and this was one of the very best we have ever done while the wines were quite good, it was Mandy who really made it special. We purchased two bottles of wines, a tub of the cheese, that we sampled, crackers, and beer nuts to go. Although we are only in Elkin for a short period of time, we are considering coming back one more time during a short visit! If we don't make it back this trip, it will be on our must do for our next trip! read more

I was super impressed with this tasting room! They take Covid-19 precautions very seriously here, and require anyone who walks in the door to be masked up and prepared to stay 6 feet apart from others while indoors. They had a lovely wine selection on their tasting list, the prices were fair, the service was AMAZING, and they let us keep a complimentary Adagio signature stemless wine class (YASSS)! We will definitely be back to visit this cute spot. They have fantastic outdoor seating (although somewhat limited, you will be PLENTY spaced out from others), an amazing fire pit area (they gave us a FREE s'mores kit ). This is a true gem find. We had a bottle of the Arandell while we were at the facility, and my friend bought a {sweeter} white wine, the Koda, to take with her! read more

My Husband and I stopped in on the last day of our vacation form California late on Sunday afternoon last month. Mandy was amazing. She gave me tips on How to Wine Taste. Engaged in conversation with us. And shared all the information about the award winning wines. My husband does not drink but both of us enjoyed our time in the tasting room. I can say it was the best experience I have ever had tasting. Mandy's hospitality, energy and kindness was so refreshing and appreciated. We could tell she truly loves and has a passion for the company. She also shared the wonderful jewelry and handmade items with me which I loved. Adagio is a must stop if you are in the area. The tasting room is a good size and you can taste a variety of the available wines. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when tasting and making purchases of wines you like. Every where we went people suggested this vineyard and so we had to go and see for ourselves. Pretty place with lots of seating and fun stuff for sale (but not in your face). The woman who helped us was wonderful and did a great job explaining everything. The price was fair as well. The wine was all good! Worth the visit. read more

The service and tasting room were incredible. When I say 3 stars I truly do mean "okay." Nothing was particularly off, I was just not the biggest fan of their wines. I was very pleased with their COVID precautions and loved the set up for the flights. We did a red flight and found it okay. We appreciated the knowledge and attentiveness of the workers. I would definitely encourage a visit to decide for yourself. The service and setting are worth a visit alone! read more

Really nice wines. They have dry, semi-dry and sweet. We bought several different bottles after trying the dry flight of wines. They had sold out of their Cab Franc which we both love, so we were disappointed we didn't get to taste it. They have nice seating areas as well. read more

Inside of the winery looks brand new and had air conditioning so that was a welcomed feature since it was quite hot outside and we'd been outside most of the day. This place is a hidden gem. Douglass was an amazing host. The wines were fabulous. My favorites were the Vivace 2013, Chaconne 2013 and Petite Verdot 2014. Lovely taste and surprising quality for such a new vineyard. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. Beautifully decorated and stylish. So many thoughtful details and artistic elements. Bring a picnic lunch or some snacks and sit outside at the lovely stone seating/picnic area. The owners and winemaker really put a lot of thought into detail. I highly recommend visiting Adagio. read more

Laura & Mark from Charlotte: Only 60 minute drive up I-77 from our neighborhood off of West W.T. Harris Blvd. Our fantastic neighbor Nicole made arrangements for our party of 22 neighbors. Staff were welcoming and quite knowledgeable of the many wine varieties and flavors. It was a fun experience personally capping and labeling bottles. Excellent find! My wife and I took our dogs for a hike at Stone Mountain And afterwards we wanted to try a local winery. Somehow we landed on Adagio and we are so happy with that selection. We walked in and mentioned we had our dogs in the car (thinking maybe we can have them stay on the front porch). Not only were they very nice but the welcomed the dogs to come in during the tasting and had a dog bowl of water. The wines were excellent and the experience was an education on the various varietals they grow and wines they make. If you like a relaxing time with a wonderful host where you can learn about N.C. wines and is very dog friendly then Adagio is the place for you. Well worth the trip. Thank you Adagio!!!!! read more

Great new vineyard with several good wines (and all are very different from each other). We particularly enjoyed the Vivace and the Coda (especially since the Coda is sweet and I normally DON'T like sweet wines at all.) Douglas in particular was excellent - very knowledgable and friendly. He even brought us a glass of wine to drink while we waited because there was already a large party there when we arrived. Not far from a lot of other vineyards, so it is definitely well worth a stop! read more

What a memorable experience! I called a few weeks ahead and spoke with Douglas, as I was making plans for a "wine tasting day" to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday while we were visiting them in NC. Douglas put us in his calendar...then when we walked in, we were greeted by name, had our tasting while my girls (who play the violin) were given a mini-lesson in violin making and offered board games to keep them entertained, and at the end of our tasting, he presented cupcakes with candles as we tasted the dessert wine! Amazing! The wines were excellent, and Douglas really made our whole day extra-special. Thank you for going above and beyond! read more
