Fun little winery with goats! We had a beautiful day and enjoyed sitting outside listening to a band. The servers were friendly. I just grabbed a glass rather than doing a tasting, so I may have to go back and try some more. Definitely worth checking out while in Elkin.

Great host in a small but beautiful tasting room. My flight of 4 (1 bubbly, 2 whites & a red) was excellent. I learned a lot about their wines & blends & history and always appreciate the veteran service. This is a beautiful country setting with rolling green hills, outside fire pits, and music on weekends. They also have AirB&B cottages. I am enjoying the honeysuckle/jasmine candle and the bottle of "Emergency Blow" bubbles -- a submariner term

Outdoor seating area with fire pits and good view of the vineyard.

Had the best time enjoying wine and using harvest host to stay the night at their vineyard! Delicious wine and the kindest owner. Gorgeous rolling hills and 2 adorable friendly goats made the most amazing stay for us!

Opening during a pandemic is never easy, but the owners at Golden Road were determined to make 2020 their year. After taking over a vineyard that previously grew grapes for sale only, the owners here, from the DC area originally, decided to make their own wine. Golden Road is the result of that labor, and they've created a great little spot in Surry County. With three firepits out front to enjoy occasional music and the ever-present woodland scenery, GRV has a great ambience. Inside, the tasting room is adorned with a neat custom stave wall and a beautiful tasting bar. The wine is offered currently by the glass, the bottle, or a flight of three. My party chose the red flights, which were all crowd pleasers. The Go With The Flow, a petit Verdot - Merlot blend was our personal favorite. The merlot and tannat were both tasty as well. The owners were around to chat with, and the visit even included two great dogs. Great start, and I wish GRV the absolute best!

We were really impressed with this winery and the owners who have opened a tasting room during a global pandemic. With a cozy tasting room showcasing varying types of wood, personable and attentive hosts, and some of the best local wine I have tried- what's not to love? We missed the live music that day, but the time we sat and chatted with the owners made us feel so welcome! Really enjoyed the cookie pairing and all 6 wines were great. We look forward to returning soon!

Popped in to Jones Von Drehle Vineyards as a second stop of the afternoon. Rather than doing a…read morefull-on tasting, we selected a bottle of Tempranillo after my wife tasted three wines. The Tempranillo is very smooth and very tasty. We sat outside due to the noise of a large group inside. The views here are amazing.

There were very few people. The music was too loud (and no, I'm not old!) and none of us could understand a word the lead singer sang in almost every song. Worst of all, the 14$ glass of wine was about 1/2 to a 1/3 of a typical pour. I asked twice about it and only got a laugh back. Probably won't go back. **************************** UPDATE AFTER YOUR RESPONSE: Thank you for taking the time to respond, but your reply completely missed the point. Instead of acknowledging a customer's experience, you chose to argue with it. Telling me that other guests enjoyed the show, explaining how your sound engineers operate, and defending your pour sizes doesn't address the actual issue--it dismisses it. A review isn't a debate to be won; it's feedback to be heard. What stands out most is your tone. There's no real ownership, no genuine apology--just a series of justifications meant to invalidate my experience. Whether or not others felt differently is irrelevant. I'm telling you what my experience was, and your response essentially boils down to "you're wrong." That's not how you build loyalty, especially from someone who has supported your business repeatedly in the past. A simple acknowledgment and a sincere effort to understand would have gone a long way. Instead, your response reinforces the very reason I said I probably won't be back.
