The vineyard was lovely and the building was cozy and welcoming with plenty of room to sit both inside and out. The gentleman behind the bar was helpful and friendly. We purchased a bottle of the Franc The Tank Blueberry - a sweet and tangy cabernet that had our tastebuds singing. This vineyard offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle of the outside world. Walk among the vines and you can sense time slowing down. This is my second visit to the vineyard. I came to meet friends with whom we will continue on to a local farm stay for the weekend. We sat outside on one of their covered patios. We packed a lunch to have with a glass of their wine. The tasting room looks like a barn and is very welcoming inside. There are plenty of seats for everyone. The warm weather had me wanting a white wine with my lunch. I chose their pinot gris. It has a crisp taste with notes of citrus. On my first visit I had a flight of all their offerings. My favorites are the Sweet Pea white blend and the Franc the Tank red blend. The old tobacco barn across from the tasting room offers another space to hang out and enjoy the view. There is also an accommodation below that makes for a unique holiday experience. read more

On a snowy Sunday a couple of weeks ago, my closest friends and I ventured out to Hidden Vineyard for some belated birthday shenanigans. They're not kidding about the name as we definitely drove right past it the first time even though there's a big black sign at the road. It's tucked away in a small valley a little ways back from the road, which presents a slight parking challenge under the best circumstances. Read on for that story. Once we entered the tasting room, we were impressed by the bright interior decor and homey feeling. As we perused the varietals of wine, it didn't take us long to settle on ordering some flights. It's the best way to try a few types of wine without having to commit to a whole glass of something. For my flight I ordered the 131 (Cabernet Sauvignon), Chill (Merlot Rosé), and Frank (Red Blend). Of the three, my favorite was the Chill. It's nice that they also offer a decent assortment of Craft beer in case wine isn't your thing. They had mulled wine too! We had the privilege of meeting Lisa, one of the owners. She's the nicest lady, so cool and down to earth. When we wanted to rearrange the furniture to better accommodate our group, she didn't care at all. The popcorn machine is also a nice touch with every single flavor of season salt you could possibly imagine. Everyone loves a snack while they're drinking! Shout out to Tim for helping push my car out of the parking lot when we left. The combination of the snow and the incline of the parking lot did not work in my favor, and I would definitely have been stuck without his assistance. I guess there's worse places to be stranded. It was so fun to see the vineyard in the snow. We are definitely planning to return when there's warmer weather. read more

Today was my first visit to this beautiful vineyard. We were quickly greeted by one of the owners, Lisa, who is just a very pleasant lady. We purchased a bottle of their chamborcine which was just excellent! She also gave us some little chocolate bites to enjoy with the wine. I loved the decor which was very eclectic and colorful. The resident dog, Lucy, checked in with us several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The winery is pet and child friendly so it's a great place to bring the entire family. Since there were several children present they cranked up the popcorn machine which everyone enjoyed. The owner also brought over a bottle of water and a sample of their mulling wine, which was superb. I highly recommend Hidden Vineyard and will definitely return. read more

Hidden Vineyard has an adorable & cozy tasting room as well as spacious outdoor space with four covered seating areas. The wines are delicious especially their mulled wine in the cold weather months and Frank the Tank. Lisa the owner is always super friendly and attentive. We've stayed at the Tobacco Cabin before which is right next to their tasting room and loved our evening there! read more

Very nice owners and server. Place has some nice canopies sitting areas and they have a small Air BB cabin and offer Harvesthost camping. As for the wines, they are decent but really not our taste. We did the 2ounce flight of 5 wines ( $18) which nothing really sparked our interest. They also offer slushies and a couple of beers on tap. read more

A great must visit NC Vineyard. A beautiful and relaxed location that goes out of its way to create a warm, inviting location. The wines are good. I won't say that I loved every wine I tried, which makes sense, but I truly believe they have something for every palate. One of the things that really stands out about this location was the staff. As I am currently disabled, my family was taken back by how accommodating the girls were. My wife was so impressed with them that she fell in love with the place before we touched our first glass. We're talking good wine, a gold star staff and a "come forget about your day" atmosphere. This is a great spot to visit. read more

I got an awesome surprise on Halloween as I stumbled upon Hidden Vineyards soft opening. They currently have five wines (Petite Manseng, Chardonnay, Cab Sauv (Bordeaux blend with Petite Verdot), and a Cab Franc with blueberry juice). The owners were around to do my flight ($15), and they seem to be lovely people. I really loved the ambience and the "hidden nature" of this vineyard. Once you're there, you feel miles away from the outside world. Great start! I wish them many years of great success! read more

Really love this place and the hostess Maja. She was super nice and a great find owners, you hired the right gal. They let our dogs in and the wines were really good. they also have a airbnb and outside picnic area. Will be back again with out Bernese Mountain dogs and maybe a group in the fall. What a birthday delight I experienced last Sunday here! Delicious wines and such a warm welcome by these thoughtful owners. Certainly do a tasting and find your favorite. Petit Manseng (white) and The Flo (red) were two we took home. (Sorry "the Flo" is a little inaccurate but you will know!) SO good! We really love visiting Hidden. It is such a solid place for hanging out and enjoying delicious wine. The prices are a bit steep for some of my favorite reds (compared to others in the area) but we still find it worth it. I like all of their reds but my favorite is the Chambourcin! One of the deeper, richer chambourcins in the area. We also love the Franc the Tanc- it is perfect for a warm afternoon. When you go, I definitely recommend a flight to figure out what your favorites are, I have not had a bad wine yet from this place. For non wine drinkers, you have some options as well! read more

We first visited Hidden Vineyards last year and immediately fell in love with the entire place. We LOVE the owners, Lisa and Tim, and one could not ask for more hospitality from both of them. GREAT people, GREAT wines, and a beautiful location. We joined their wine club and have really enjoyed the special events associated with the club. My husband and I pulled in late Thursday afternoon for a tasting. We didn't realize they were closed but the owners Tim and Lisa graciously invited us in. We did a wine tasting and their wine is very good. Our favorite was the 131 Cabernet which we brought a bottle home. I'm not a big fan of Chardonnay but we really enjoyed theirs. Best winery in North Carolina. Maja was a great pourer and very nice. i was surprised that the tasting room is only one year old and the wines are considered "young" and not mature but they tasted mature. I bought the Petit Manseng. If I did not plan to visit another winery which is far from here, I would have stayed for the rest of the day. Nice views. Would definitely come back year after year. I bought the Petite Manseng but all of the wines were really good (except Franc the Tank-too sweet for me). read more
