Adam knows garage doors, and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a garage door repair! Several years ago I had my garage door serviced by another company. Since then, my garage door was back-breaking to open, and they told me there was not enough ceiling space to install an automated garage door opener. I got tired of lifting the heavy door, so I called Adam, who responded immediately and diagnosed the problem as a spring that was too small for the 90-pound door and a track that was too close to the wall. For $300, he replaced the spring with the correct size and adjusted the placement of the track. In addition to that, he said he could install an automatic opener using the front wall (not the ceiling) for $575, which he did. And so, after years of putting up with a terrible garage door, Adam has given me a garage door that is easy to open manually and which I can open with a remote. My review of October 16, 2023: Adam made the necessary repairs to my garage door, quickly, and he did not try to sell me any parts or services that were not needed. Yes, I made sure the estimates included the same parts and labor, except for one where the repair company preferred to estimate based on pictures that I texted. Adam was clearly the low bidder, and the door works very well and is quiet. He advised me that the 30+ year-old motor will need replacement in the future, but it is okay to use until it starts to have any problem. His warranty: three years parts and three months for labor. I highly recommend Adam and suggest that if you are going to look for estimates, make sure you include Adam Door and Lock; you will not regret it. After taking bids from a total of three contractors, I knew Adam was the man for the job! He replaced the springs and garage door opener very quickly and efficiently. He makes some good suggestions for the new opener, including a package with video keypad, which I wasn't really interested in at first. After deciding to go with the more expensive garage door opener, I did not regret it one bit. I think having the extra horsepowers and lifetime warranty will pay off in the long run. The super quiet drive belt is superb. The video keypad is an amazing feature to have, you can let other people in and yourself, seamlessly. Overall, it was a good experience, I can't say that very often when working with contractors.
