I began with invisalign treatment but eventually had to move into a hybrid of both invisalign and traditional braces. I have to admit there were times I was frustrated (and it showed lol) with the process but Dr. Woo always educated and encouraged me. She was never pushy. Her recommendations and expectations were always realistic and she listened to my concerns with care. Secondly, I think the value was great. It was slightly higher than perhaps one other place I had consulted prior however, for what I received, I think it was well worth it. All appointments, treatment (including the hybrid change), and my retainer were all included. Moreover, they offered an affordable monthly price plan. Finally, the office is clean and modern. Staff are always pleasant and personable. I never had any issues with service and appointments were always on-time. I can't even recall waiting more than 5 minutes to see the doctor. Appointments are also convenient with some Saturdays available. Overall, it was a great experience. I now have a beautiful, confident smile and I feel extremely happy that I chose to complete the journey with Riverdale Family Orthodontics. I had my follow-up braces appointment to Pre-Deband and made my retainers. The orthodontist Min Kwak started talking to the assistant and began working on my teeth without telling me what they were doing. Just telling me to open my mouth and bite down. The dentist's assistant name Lulya obviously new didn't know exactly what she was doing asking the doctor multiple times the same questions about what size and bands to add. She hurt and cut my cheek and lip, trying multiple times to put the wire inside of the bracket without success. I asked her for another person to do it and she said I'm almost done. Doctor Kwak is taking care of 5 more patients at the same time hurrying up and leaving the assistant to do all the job without a final check. She asked me what time would you like to come in for my next appointment and I asked her about my retainers and she said oh the doctor is now correcting your crossbite and adding more brackets and bite blocks. Dentist Kwaw asked me in December 2023 if i wanted to correct my crossbite and that it was optional because is a broad crossbite and doesn't affect my smile. I said NO, every time I said not and he said ok it's completely fine. May 22nd it was supposed to be my pre-deband I signed up papers for my retainer and he made and added things to my treatment without my consent or asking me directly. He said oh I forgot that you don't want to correct your crossbite. How do you forget something that is in the notes in front of you?.

Like many grown adults in my age group, I was traumatized by the dentist office as a child. Myself, My Husband and My Stepdaughter all sang Roshe Dental Groups praises. I even referred a co-worker to them. Roshe Dental did an amazing job with dental implants for My Husband. They allowed us a payment plan. That was 2018. The the Pandemic happened and the world stopped. Then the world re-opened in 2021. Roshe Dental Group was great, until it wasn't !!! The staff started acting weird. Unprofessional. I went to Dr. Roshe for dental work about 2 years ago (based on all of the good reviews). Most of the work was done just fine and I was satisfied at first, but then he recommended a root canal on one of my teeth. Long story short, he performed the root canal, but I kept telling him that something didn't feel right. I went back to him three times to get him to look at it, telling him each time that there was a tingling or some kind of irritation - something wasn't right! All he would do is grind down my tooth - like literally shave it down and have me bite down on that black paper to see if my teeth were touching. I did not feel that was solving the problem and I continued to feel something inside my tooth. I was told that it's normal and that sometimes this happens, and sometimes that happens. What also irked me about his solution is that I had had a root canal before, years ago, and that crown is still solid to this day, and when I pass my tongue over it, it feels like a normal tooth, has the groves like a normal tooth. Dr. Roshe's did not. It was flat, like flat flat. Like, what you'd experience with a temporary crown. And he just kept grinding it down because apparently the x-rays did not show anything. Anyway... we moved and I've recently seen an Endodontist who found additional decay at the tip of the root, which was not cleaned and sealed properly. I've known this entire time that something was not right and it felt good to validate that I wasn't crazy. I have had to pay (out of pocket, about $1,200) mind you for an Endodontist to go in and do the job right, and to get a new crown. BUT, I no longer feel that weird tingling feeling, or like something foreign has invaded my mouth. I am happy for this to be over and officially fixed. Someone asked me if it was just the crown, but it wasn't. That tingling feeling that was deep inside that I've felt all this time is finally gone. That tooth no longer stands out in my mouth (you know how you can just feel something and then you're always rubbing it with your tongue). That feeling is gone and the tooth is no longer a point of irritation - it's just normal. Sorry - I'm trying to explain it. Anyway - my advice, get your specialty dental work done by a real specialist. I gave 2 stars because the staff is nice, except for the woman who handles the billing - she never really smiles - FYI. And regarding the root canal, it could have been that he's just not an Endodontist and therefore couldn't spot what my new one did in a few seconds. One thing I always hated: The waiting area smells unpleasant. I never said anything because I felt bad. There is a bathroom in the front and the door is always open, so that might be why. They try to cover it up with scents, but you still smell it.
