This guy is super honest. I locked the key in home safe, one's in hotels and wanted it opened but weekend is expensive for all locksmiths. I got quotes for $200-$400 from other locksmiths and when I told him the price of unit he said I could pry it opened. Was inside safe in five minutes. Some other locksmiths said safe would be destroyed and still wanted a few hundred. I'm so glad I talked with this locksmith because he said do it yourself and five minutes later I was in. After someone tried to pry open the iron gate to our typical San Francisco Sunset District tunnel entrance in 2017, we consulted with Adam and had him add a vertical security bar and a deadbolt lock to the gate. We also kept the slip lock so we could choose when to use the deadbolt. Adam did excellent work on the locks and ironwork and even cleaned up some of the poor welding on the gate from years before. He's located in SF's Outer Sunset. Adam did another great job in 2019 with other security additions to the house - both consulting and installing. Reached out to Adam and he immediately responded to see what I need help with. He asked for a picture of my damaged iron door and front door lock. I was able to send him couple videos and he was able to get back with what work needs to be done and an estimate. I was on board with him to get all of the services he would provide. I asked him when he can come in and he didn't respond after that. I emailed him again a week later after I haven't heard from him again and still got no response. I felt like my time was wasted. Emailed him 3 photos of my door up-close, asked to get deadbolt installed and lever/lock replaced. Got a quote from him and we agreed to proceed. I purchased all the parts and had it ready for him. On the day of appointment, Adam showed up, asked my contractors where i was - they told him i'm downstairs. He then just left and texted me that he can't find me, and claimed that he looked at the door and this job is not for him (even though i send him detailed photos of the door prior to his visit). Sometimes you just need people to do what's expected: answer the phone and deliver what they promise. Adam was great! He answered the phone, came 30 mins later as promised, and within 5 secs unlocked my door. Then he went above and beyond, he checked to make sure the key I had (which was locked inside the room previously) fit correctly. Which it didn't, surprisingly! He replaced the knob and lock with a better quality one and had me double check the new keys worked and we were done in less than 30 mins! I needed to have a door knob installed on an interior door in my house. I rent the room and the owner believed that doors are bad for the "aura" of the house. I believe that is crazy talk. So after a long time of procrastinating I decided around 3pm that I wanted it done RIGHT THEN. I called around and decided on a locksmith over a handyman and Mr O'Neill was local and able to be there in 30 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised that he was RIGHT on time, fast, and professional. Prompt, friendly, personable, knew his trade. We needed some help installing new deadbolts, since the old ones were round and these are elongated, and needed some wood carefully removed from the door. We also had a roomie who had locked himself out of his room and we couldn't find the keys. My husband was able to get in once, but then the roomie locked himself out AGAIN--so we needed the help of a specialized toolset. For work on 3 doors, it took about an hour, and was 100- in addition to the yelp deal I'd bought, which got me 75- of his time for 40-. I called him the night before to see if yelp deals could be used the same day, and they could not, plus he let me know daytime would be cheaper. He answered a lot of questions before I hung up to discuss it with my husband, and then called back to schedule for the next day at 2pm. I'd call him again, if the need arises. read more

I've never actually used their services, this review is strictly based off the phone call. My grandmother locked herself out of her bedroom and needed someone to come open it. I called several locksmiths and after every phone call I was told different estimates/information. Just about to give up, I call Adam and he answered immediately. He was very courteous and professional over the phone. He was not available to come at the time i needed but instead he gave me the numbers to locksmiths that he trusts/recommends. He also took the time to help me understand why I was getting different quotes from places and to watch out for swindlers. Adam Helped me get into my apartment at around 11pm one evening. My landlords are never really available to help, but Adam was! He came over in less than 30 mins and had me back into my unit in less than 10. I had my keys with me, but the lock itself was giving the trouble. He offered to fix it then and there, but I declined. As much as I would like my lock to work, my landord refuses to reimburse me for the unlock alone. I won't risk repairing on my own, too. Anyway, given that my landord is so useless amongst other things, I needed another copy of my hand written receipt. He couldnt make me both my keys, because he didnt have one of the molds for the key. Then he quoted a price twice the amount of a regular hardware store. Then he cut me a bad key and I couldn't get into the house that I had tried to make a key to GET INTO. I called him 30 minutes after he made the key to ask him to fix it, but he said that he was closed and that I would have to come back tomorrow or pay $65 for him to come and help me get into my house. I tried to call him the next day, but because he doesnt have a non-mobile shop, he said that I would have to wait and hour for him.... and also go find him somewhere in the sunset when he gets back into the area. Was in a bit of a pickle this morning as I desperately needed a copy of a key, and the one and only local locksmith that I know of, and haven't been to in roughly 10 years was "closed due to circumstances!" So, I immediately went to yelp, and a whole bunch of near locations of locksmiths popped up, I started calling, and even though the address is listed as local, they are actually located way out of my way.
