I called yesterday and my call was answered immediately. I explained that I needed to change keys as a tenant moved out. Ramon said he couldn't do that day, and to be fair, it was in the evening, but could have someone there tomorrow morning at 8:30 am. I asked for 9 am and Nick arrived promptly. To make a Long review short, I needed a lock replaced and they did it without any issues. To make a Short review long, I called at 7:30am and I believe I spoke with Ramon. Not the most welcoming tone of voice but hey, I did called him at 7:30am so I get it lol. He gave me his cell phone and requested pictures of my lock. After he saw the pictures he gave me a quote, answered my additional questions and I decided to move forward with the service. Note sure why people gave bad reviews when being asked to send pictures of the lock. This is so the technician can ensure they come prepared with the proper equipment and educate the requester on what will need to be done, what type of lock you need replaced and etc. From the time I decided to move forward with the service to when the technician showed up at my house was 34 minutes. He changed the lock, made copies of my existing house key and gave me 3 copies which is what I requested. After being in the military for 9 years, and with all the crime going around, I only want to protect my family. I can't help but think that "what if he made an extra key for himself to break into my house one day?". Not just this locksmith but I would feel that way for any locksmith I hired for their services. This was my first time calling a locksmith, but based on the glowing reviews I'm putting my trust that didn't happen The technician was friendly, easy to talk to was finished in under 30 minutes. I was quoted $290 because my gate is apparently a commercial gate and needed a different kind of lock. Looked up the type of locked I needed and turns out it only cost around $40-50 for a replacement lock. Really high mark up if you ask me, but I also understand businesses have to pay their staff, gas, insurance, vehicle maintenance and adjust for inflation. So it bothers me when I see negative reviews of people saying "iT's eXpEnSive". Like if you want to do it cheaper then find someone who will, or do it yourself. The way i see it, I'm paying someone else to do it so I don't have too. Comes with a 1 year warranty on parts and labor. Twice this month, same two people tried to get into our building, First time, in the middle of the night, with a crowbar on a metal gate but a heavy metal plate kept them from forcing it open after trying for almost an hour. Then they came back a few days ago, this time with a bloom and early in the morning, up the stairs and trying to open the locks of two different doors. We have Ring camera and flood lights but that did not deter them. I called YES Locksmith the next morning shortly after 7 am after a sleepless night. Ramon picked up the phone right away and after I told him what had happened he told me he would be over in the afternoon. Ramon had helped me rekeyed my apartment a few years ago so he was the first person I thought of calling. Right on time, Ramon arrived, inspected the doors, made a few adjustments to the lock which was not working all the time, repaired the metal plate which was bent by the intruders and made a couple of recommendations. To ensure that the door would close and locked every time, he recommended that we replace the hydraulic door opener with a more powerful one. Also to install a protective metal strip on the door. After reviewing his estimate he provided shortly after he left, we decided to move forward with his recommendations. Today, two days after the second attempted break ins, Ramon came back with his door opener specialist, installed a new door opener and a door protective strip. tl;dr YES Locksmith is the most knowledgeable, responsive, professional locksmith I've found in SF. They handle complex repairs quickly and for a reasonable price - and they show up on time. Longer story: I needed to get a handle replaced on some exterior French doors. I contacted six of the top locksmiths on Yelp for a quote. YES Locksmith was by far the most knowledgeable, responsive, professional, and reasonably priced of all the San Francisco locksmiths I found. It was quite tricky to determine which part was needed for an exact replacement - only YES Locksmith was able to figure it out after texting some photos. And they were the most creative with finding a cost-conscious solution (a similar-looking handle that wasn't an exact replacement). They ordered the part for me, texted when it was ready, scheduled the repair for the next day, and arrived on time. They only charged me once the job was done (and they accept credit card). I am super satisfied with the end result and the professionalism & smooth communication along the way. Locksmiths aren't something I'd usually write a review for but they far exceeded my expectations so I wanted to spread the word. 10/10 read more

Super! I called with an issue and after quickly discussing it Ramon was at my home 2 hours later. Our front gate was misaligned which apparently is common during hot or cold weather, who knew. We needed it fixed because the keys were no longer working and we were concerned a key would break. He added grease and drilled the side opening to allow a smoother fit. The gate works great now. Ramon answered my call on 2 rings, took careful note of our specific needs, (our dog is able to open many types of doors and our lock system broke -stuck locked and needed to be replaced), and then was at my house within an hour to install a new door hardware.
