I think there is some kind of auto generated thing out there -that just says your city- but they are not local. I had booked them. And then after losing a day of waiting for them-to not come or call! Forget about it! I had noticed everyone on Yelp mentioning the real Sausalito locksmith! So that was my next move after that bad experience. Thomas came over and inspected the situation and had a resolution to something within the lock that was weak he didn't like- but it's true, a small flimsy metal part. He went to see if he had something like it but stronger in his truck. Yes- problem solved! But then where the door wasn't lining up exactly- he trouble shot that as well. I like a person who can problem solve on the spot. So grateful for this nice friendly guy who knows his stuff- and got the job done step by step. (The issues were not obvious) Can't recommend him enough- if you are in Southern Marin- you should ask for Thomas. Time is money and he put my mind at ease once he came to fix my door I have had good and bad locksmiths- none are ever in the middle. These guys are the good guys for your money and time. In addition, he broke the driver's side door locking function. Our existing key that used to fully work now only locks three out of the four car doors. The only way to lock the driver's side door is to turn the switch on the car door to lock it from the inside before leaving the car. I will have to pay far more money now to fix the broken driver's side door locking function in addition to duplicating the car key, which was my initial request.
