We recently went to the Point of Rocks library to use the Memory Lab (which is a very nice service that the library offers) to use the equipment and digitize some videos. The librarians and the volunteer who helped us went above and beyond to make sure that everything worked well. We really appreciate everything that FCPL has to offer!!

The front desk person was very soft spoken and pleasant. I didn't feel judged for my library card shortcomings. After the documents were printed, they let my partner pay for them but wouldn't release them to them. That feels very professional and secure. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet save for the occasional excited toddler bouncing around. There's the bookery which is not only clean and cozy but stunningly fancy looking, kind of like a little palace. Items bought there are yours to keep. The prices are more than reasonable, some of the stuff is antiques. There's a teen wing, non-fiction, a chess board, dvds, sensory items, and a few free shelves. But so much more! There's useful documents everywhere, from a library-offered self-guided scavenger hunt to incredibly helpful mental health resources. Bathrooms are clean and open to the public. I recommend the summer reading program for kids, mine did it for a few years. It's incredibly rewarding for them. Bosler will always be my favorite library. Maybe I'm biased, but I think it deserves every bit of its praise. I will always go here.

Which means those books with waiting lists sometimes will be there. I bypassed that 4 week waiting period. I came initially to use one of their conference rooms. Which is huge and spacious. They have a discovery room which is a huge sensory play area that I use to take my littles that they absolutely loved. Teachers can also reserve the room during the week for a hour. However use caution. Idk if those toys are sanitized. So make sure your littles dont put it in their mouth. Lots of computers to use, or bring your own laptop. Wifi is good. However their printing is expensive... .15 cents for regular and i think .99 cents for color. They also have classes, especially if you wanna learn how to knit, or play mahjong. They also have reading time for the littles.

There are board games for children to play, puzzles for varying age ranges, magnetic tiles and even a small slide for small toddlers. There are also preloaded computer games for children to get involved with, along with of course a great selection of books. Despite not being part of the Dauphin County Library System, they will allow you to check out items for 10 days if you show your library card & drivers license. The children's area is not very large, but is well stocked with books and some games, such as floor puzzles, etc. Ample Internet computers available, as well as a small coffee area.
