The market is smaller than I imagined, but it was stacked with lots of goodies. There were samples throughout and I really enjoyed the tart cherry juice and picked up a bottle to take home. They also had blue Amish popcorn, which is a treat. I was surprised there weren't any regular restrooms but just a portable outside which an employee told me even they must use. No thank you. I guess it's too early for fresh corn even though it was sold at the market it was not from Wisconsin because it is too early. So that was a little disappointing, thinking I was getting fresh corn.

Stopping at Wienke's market is a must while traveling through Algoma, whether it be spring, summer…read morefall, or winter. They have a large selection of canned goods, baked goods, and souvenirs, and I'm sure in the summer they are stocked to the gills with fresh produce. The service is friendly, and so if you ever travel to or through Algoma is a must stop!

I ended up picking up cherries, kohlrabi, and a few sweet treats to take home. Everything felt fresh and full of variety. Green Bay has two downtown Farmers Markets. This one is on Walnut St and is held on Saturday…read moremornings from late May until Oct. The other one is across the river on Broadway St. It is held on Wednesday's, late Afternoon/early evening. Both are great! Not sure which one I like better. They both have many of the same vendors, but the time of day and location, bring a little different vibe to the events. The great thing about the Saturday one is it's in the morning. A little bit more laid back. It's a great way to start your morning with coffee and a pastry while you shop the many stands from local farmers, restaurants and businesses. The Wednesday one is on Broadway which has a few more bars and restaurants, so it has a little bit more of a "happy hour" feel to it (if you want to enjoy some music, food and booze this would be your pick). I look forward to getting to as many as possible. Even when I don't need anything... yet I always find something to buy! Farmers Markets in Green Bay, to me, means it's finally nice out!

This is a really popular market that draws more food vendors/ food trucks than the Saturday market. Unlike the Saturday market you can also get craft beers from all the local breweries. Outside of snagging some food and beverages you can collect some good produce, cheese and meats. They have a face painter and other entertainment including music. Some of my favorite things include the beer, the gelato truck and kettle corn! I really like this market and will for sure be back.

On top of a small hill, you'll find the store and orchard. Stop in the store and get directed to the right orchard and bags for your pickin's. They are very nice and tell you how to pick the ripe and ready. I went for the sweet Honey Golds.. "make sure there's a pink blush on one of the apple's cheeks" I didn't know apples had cheeks! They were easy to spot and pick. AND TREE RIPE SWEET. They also have Macintosh, Cortlands, with twenty other varieties. I didn't have time but you can sometimes also pick fresh produce products ... strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, sweet corn, squash and pumpkins. Pick your own apples & vegetables or buy at the retail store. When you've picked your lot you go back into the store to weigh and pay. Stock up on their locally raised Angus beef or buffalo meat AND OF COURSE spicy Sheboygan style brats too. (beats the heck outta Bavarian or Stadium style) YOU BETCHA!

This is an amazing find! Driving by, I see this little sign for chocolates and I have to stop in…read more I walk in and I'm greeted by one of the chocolatiers and owners, welcoming me and explaining all that is on the shelves and more importantly what is NOT on the shelves. We'll get to that later. I find Chocolate grahm crackers, rice crispies, nutter butters, Oreo's, and of course artistic pretzels to name a few. All are hand dipped and decorated beautifully, no machine could make each so perfect. I move on and find chocolate spoons for drinks, I am intrigued by the alcohol infused craft chocolate and then... I see chocolate covered key lime pie! well and others but really? Who thinks of this? Well that is not the end. Every time I stop in, I learn more and more. They offer individualized wedding offerings and other event ideas. They really care about what a consumer may want and ask every time I arrive, what it is I might like to see made on the shelf and sometimes I may get to taste test something new! I'm not going to lie, I mention, I may just like chocolate covered gummy bears. I know not so elegant but they are surprisingly pleasant :) Ok so cost for these items are reasonable and fair. Reasonable enough that I plan to organize something original for the office this holiday season. I did hear that the personalization is expanding to that....soon... you may be able to pick your pleasure and they may just make it right there while you wait! Now this is amazing. Bottom line: Amazing craft chocolates for reasonable prices. A business that really cares what YOU think and welcomes feedback to continue to elevate their creations, how? No idea.
