Been coming to Adam's rib for around 12 years now! We moved an hour away but still continue to drive past 100 bbq joints to make our way to Adams. We love the down home service and environment and the bbq is unique and does not compare to any other we have had. It is truly old fashioned smoke as I like to tell people as he uses hard split wood to cook as you would get similar to a campfire. The smoker is out front so you know this place means business. The aroma of the meat is tantalizing and it delivers. We ordered the nacho and fancy mac or whatever it was since we came with our 1 and 2.5 year old - they loved it. It wasn't too spicy and meat wasn't dry. The mac was creamy and I will be dreaming about it. Server was cordial and funny; food came out quickly. The ambience is quaint Americana - close quarters so you know the food is good and space is limited to turn tables quickly. Stopped in while driving through Eaton. We placed an order to go - beef brisket platter ($20) which came with 2 sides. We chose spoon bread and mac n cheese. The BBQ sauce comes on the side. The service was fast. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes. They do take CREDIT CARDS. The inside dining area is small (4 tables). There's a small outdoor area with a few tables also. Opens late. If you advertise a time you open then open at that time. If you open 6 or 7 minutes late it shows lack of attention to detail. I hope your food don't get the same service. A little roadside shack serving up not just any BBQ, but Southern BBQ. It's cozy and rustic (there's a wood-burning stove in the dining room, OK?) and cash sales only. No worries there as you'll find an ATM just steps away at the gas station next door. Spoonbread! Just warms this ex-New Yorker's heart. Love the baked beans too and the green beans are the flat style that are also known as Italian style, which for me is another plus. Yes, you may find the occasional burnt end but it's the nature of it. There's so much good meat it won't cause any problems. If you're dining in, just order at the counter and grab a seat. I'm not a BBQ person. I was coming down 35 and noticed a small crowd around Hey small ran down building. The exterior was not pretty but I saw the sign that I've read about and wanted to try the food. They assured me the barbecue sauce was on the side and that I would love all the sides they offered. First things first: this place is cash only and the nearest ATMs are over a mile away. Now that we've gotten that out of the way... This place is definitely worth a stop on your way through Eaton. It's what I hope all small town barbecue joints will be, but disappointingly few ever are. I tried the brisket and smoked sausage with a side of green beans. The brisket was tender, ever so slightly dry but still pleasant with a good and flavorful layer of fat on the top of the slices. I could definitely taste the mesquite wood it's smoked over. The sausages are brought in from a local meat processing shop and are finished over hickory on the grill. It may have been the tastiest smoked sausage I've had. The green beans were pretty standard boiled variety, fine but nothing to write home about. All in all a very satisfying meal of delicious meats. I'll be back when I'm through town. read more

I love their bbq. The sides leave a little left to be desired, but their meats are great. Very 'hole in the wall' and not much room for dining in, but their meats and sauce it worth it. Just take it to go and head around the corner to sit at Ft. St. Clair. The political memorabilia is a little off putting if you're not hardcore republican, but the bbq is great. My wife and I recently stopped by Adam's Rib for lunch. The girl working at the was very friendly and explained the menu to us both. I ordered a combo plate with brisket, sausage, green beans, and mac n cheese. My wife got baby back ribs with mac n cheese, and cole slaw. The meals came quickly and the portions were generously sized. Though I did enjoy my meal my brisket was on the dry side so I added some of the house bbq sauce to moisten it up a bit. I'm more used to a Texas style brisket with a salt and pepper rub which normally is very moist and does not need sauce. That being said, the sauce was very tasty and a great addition to the meal. I was a bit disappointed with the green beans as they we cooked to a mushy consistency. Maybe this is how they are normally made for southern style bbq and I'm sure some people enjoy them this way, different strokes for different folks! The mac n cheese was yummy as was the sausage. My wife really liked the cole slaw but found the ribs a bit dry too...time to pour on the sauce! :) The atmosphere was nice and looked like a "rib joint" should plus they had a nice outdoor deck for enjoying a meal read more

Went here to get our dinner, As many people said how good the food was. An it very well maybe good but today 5/12/2017 at 5:15 pm. I first went in an asked for a carry out menu an was told they don't have one, so I study the hand written menu went home told my wife what I could remember of the menu. We both decided on the rib combo. Drove back to the rib house an went in to order. I started telling the young man what I wanted an he informed me they had no ribs!! But we could order sandwiches.
