The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Me and my wife enjoyed it so much. The ambiance and service is top notch. The best service we have received from any restaurant. So warm and friendly, then the delicious food. The steak is melt in your mouth, the mash potatoes are so creamy and delicious. My wife had chilean bass which was cooked to perfection I had to have a bite. The manager came to say hello and was like a good friend warm and inviting. We absolutely love Adams Street Chophouse, it is now our favorite restaurant. It's so romantic as well. Thank you!

What a great find! The food was SO amazing. We started with the shrimp cocktail and, like the menu states, it'll make your eyes water. We enjoyed the sea bass for my entree and my husband had the scallops! Not a single bite was left on either of our plates! The music and decor were not stuffy but very classy! Our server was excellent and we will definitely be back!!

We loved everything about this restuarant. The atmosphere is amazing! The food was out of this world. The meatloaf is next level. The bread I could take home and serve for Thanksgiving! Shrimp, cheesecake, carrot cake...everything was so good. Our server was phenomenal. We would definitely go back!!

What a wonderful atmosphere here! Ideal for date night, business meeting, family celebration or just a regular fun night out! You'll be amazed by the attention to detail the owners have taken...and a full menu with plenty of options is always good for all budgets! The friendly, knowledgeable staff is happy to explain any questions and the garlic rolls are by far the best rolls I've ever had! So far I've had the rib-eye both visits and the sides of Caesar salad, Mac & cheese and asparagus have been scrumptious. Be sure to visit the new Adams Street Chophouse next time you're in Muncie!

Really nice meal out. Atmosphere is wonderful, service was prompt and friendly. I selected the 5 oz filet with poblano corn and whipped garlic potatoes and all were delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked to medium-rare. Husband ordered the duck which was equally delicious. Skin was nice and crisp, fat was rendered well. My only change is that I would love to see the onion jam served warm over the duck rather than cool on the side. The apple cobbler for dessert was delicious, and I took home a slice of carrot cake to enjoy later. We will certainly be back!

Steak so tender I thought I'd gone to heaven, with a colonial interior atmosphere that makes you feel like you're stepping back in time.

As our weekend wound down, we all decided we wanted to go out for a special dinner. The suggestion came to check out Ron Lahody's Trust Your Butcher Steakhouse. It's about four blocks, easily within walking distance for most and with street parking around for those not able to walk that distance, from the Courtyard and I have to admit I was in for something a bit more premium. Lahody grew up around the meat business, though entered it a bit later after some time in the Marines, graduating from Ball State, working in the family business, and then spending 22 years in home remodeling. Finally, he opened Lahody meats in 2008 and then years later made it to the actual steakhouse business. Lahody still owns Lahody Meats in Muncie, recently opened a steakhouse in Anderson, and yet this spot is the original. As a wheelchair user, I was definitely looking for something wheelchair friendly. Downtown Muncie tends to be older and you can never be certain. I'd gone wheeling around the area the day before and was pretty sure this would be safe. We made our reservation for the end of our work day and then headed over to the steakhouse. I instantly fell in love with the place. It's intimate yet finely decorated. It has the traditional steakhouse vibe with a wood, warm environment, a nicely done bar area, and a couple spots that were clearly made for accessibility. We were placed in one of those booth/tables - small yet nicely sized and none of us ever felt over-cramped. I sat at the end of the booth while my friends took the inside seats. Our server, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was wonderful from beginning to end. The young woman was very friendly and helpful. Service was nicely paced, attentive, and never intrusive. It's worth noting that while you can eat somewhat modestly here, and they do have specials, this really is a higher-end steakhouse designed for premium dining. We ordered a couple appetizers at $15 each - candied bacon and green tomatoes. I had never tried candied bacon and kind of fell in love with it. My two peers enjoyed the green tomatoes. My peers enjoyed alcohol, a couple brews each with a solid variety available, and I enjoyed my usual unsweetened iced tea. We all ordered steaks, a definite rarity for me. One peer went for filet mignon. Myself and the other for a New York Strip. You get two sides with a steak. I saw they had roasted potatoes, an absolute favorite of mine, and I doubled an order for my two sides. Lahody himself was in-house. He's an older gent, silver-haired yet impeccably dressed. He was introducing himself to customers and sitting at the end of the bar when I left. When he thanked you for coming, the gratitude felt sincere. Service? Top-notch. Accessibility? I didn't visit the restroom, however, everything was accessible and comfortable. The steak? Oh my, I haven't had a steak this good in a long time. It was cooked as ordered and prepared beautifully. The roasted potatoes were nicely seasoned and simply sublime. This was a definite splurge for me, however, as we were celebrating finishing up a non-profit film it felt like a beautiful way to celebrate with friends in an environment where I felt welcome. There's no question I'll return.

How great can the food be, really? Um, pretty freaking great, actually. I got a fish sandwich, which was a long filet of battered and fried fish, served on an ultra-soft hoagie roll, with a little lettuce and tartar sauce inside. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, and flaky and soft on the inside. It's the type of thing that I didn't want to stop eating, because the combination of textures was just perfect. Handhelds are served with a side, and I chose the side Caesar salad. It was an OK Caesar, and it did its job to satisfy my CaeSal craving. It comes with red onions on top, which is a choice. The service here was great. The restaurant has a big bar in the middle, with TVs showing sports. The whole place is surrounded by windows, so you can see out into downtown Muncie.
