I need to come back here just for breakfast and a coffee. We came here for lunch and I ordered the soup and 1/2 sandwich. I thought I could order any sandwich on the menu, but was informed I could only get the Tosta Mista (ham and cheese). I ordered that and the soup of the day. The sandwich was the most basic sandwich that my 12-year old daughter would have laughed at. It was a paper-thin provolone and an even thinner slice of ham on some OK sourdough that was barely grilled. I've been hearing about Bica in Noblesville for quite some time. It's right next door to the Nesst. This past weekend I was finally able to check it out. I was craving some soup so I was excited to try the Portuguese soup. It was just okay. I don't usually add salt to anything but I had to add some as well as pepper. It was a bit bland and on the oily side. The breakfast burrito was kinda pricey at $14 and it took like 20 minutes. The highlight for me was the Pistachio Napoleon -- a flakey puff pastry filled with silky smooth pistachio custard; pair it with the Green Velvet for the double pistachio action. That was delicious. I would probably go back to give Bica another chance as I ordered takeout and didn't get to take a very good look at the menu before picking up the order. What a beautiful little cafe! I felt like I was in Europe sitting out on their cozy plant-filled patio enjoying a leisurely breakfast. Bica's is a hidden gem in Noblesville. Anastasija, our server and hostess, was charming, friendly and accommodating. We studied the menu and the beautiful case of fresh pastries. The menu is a mix of Portuguese/American breakfast and lunch options. Anastasija made recommendations. I had the Bom Dia Breakfast, as I was craving bacon. The bacon is thick cut. The potatoes were coated with a blend of Portuguese spices. The house-made sour dough bread was phenomenal. My eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband had a ham and cheese filled fresh pastry and two a la carte eggs. The pastry was delicious and the eggs were cooked perfectly. As I write this, I'm looking at the lunch menu and thinking about going back for a seafood dish. The food is original. I can't wait to back. There are tables and a comfy seating area inside. The cafe is immaculate. Water for your dog awaits on the patio. We easily found parking early in the day around the square, but parking is probably tough to find near lunchtime. Absolutely loving Bica Cafe! We stumbled upon it during a quick trip to Noblesville and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant along with a blueberry white chocolate iced latte, and both together were under $10 -- which feels almost unheard of these days. I drove up to Noblesville to explore/walk around and came across this café that I actually had already put on my "want to visit" list. A café that would transport me back to Lisboa? Yes please. I had high expectations especially since I had heard that the one of the owners had Portuguese heritage. The café was cute & clearly a great meeting spot. The reason I only gave it 4 stars was because the staff didn't know how "pastel de nata" was correctly pronounced (which I guess I assumed they would've been taught) & the egg tart was so so (could've used some more cinnamon!). After seeing the popularity of the chicken salad, i had to try it and i upgraded my side to fries, which were crispy, salty, and delicious. There is no waiter/waitress, you order at the counter up front. They bring the food and beverages to you though. I had a slow drip unlimited coffee and the weekend brunch omelette. The coffee had great flavor! Oat milk is an extra $0.75. The omelette was huge and filling! I had sausage, peppers and onions in it. The potatoes had a really nice seasoning and were crispy. This is a fantastic location! It's a beautiful spot with art paintings for sale when you walk in. It's very clear and I love the atmosphere and very friendly customer service. Reminds me of an old general store in colors like Robin egg, blue and brown. I have to say that the food was mid. The cheesy potato soup was watery and not think but had a good flavor. The avocado toast was just ok. I would ask for the everything but the bagel seasoning to be left off next time because it overwhelmed the flavor. I got a half order but it was a very large skinny slice of bread. I liked the bread but would have preferred more avocado per bite on a smaller piece. I was ok with my order but i think next time I would venture into more rustic dishes like their sandwiches or small plates. Came in after my never-ending hunt for a quality bakery in the greater Fishers/North Indy area. I saw some pictures on Facebook and got very excited - I was a little underwhelmed. I guess in my brief research it didn't click that a mainly Portuguese restaurant might not have the French pastries I was really looking for so that is on me 100%. We got the apricot danish and the chocolate croissant. The apricot danish was good but the chocolate croissant just was not that flakey croissant I was looking for but again that is on me. We were so excited to try this little place we had discovered through a quick search. Quickly grabbed a table before placing our order. We ordered some coffee and a cappuccino, both tasted pretty well but the 15+ minute wait on drinks alone was a little upsetting. Unfortunately we had to wait much longer for our food. After finally getting it they let us know they lost our ticket which happens and they were honest and apologized, which was so nice. As for the food; I had the eggs jaquim and thought it was really well done. The worst part was how sweet it was. This is THE cutest cafe! A coworker found this spot on Yelp and we met for a day of working together. This included breakfast, lunch, and of course coffee and even tea. There's street parking and a garage nearby and they also have a patio out front with a mum and pumpkin wall. When I walked inside I was shocked at how big the space was. From the outside you would have no idea. It has a very cozy vibe with a variety of seating, even a giant community table, which is where we propped up for the day. The bright turquoise bar counter area catches your attention right away and as you get closer, the goodies behind the window lure you in. The staff was incredibly friendly the entire time we were there. Taking our orders, bringing out water and our food orders, and answering any questions that we had. And we're both super curious so we likely asked more than the average. The rest of the folks there were friendly. Saw families, other folks working, and even those just stopping in for a quick coffee or bite. I ordered one of their seasonal lattes with soy milk and it was delicious. My friend got avocado toast and tea. That held me over until lunch when I got a lavender mint tea, and a quinoa salad with grilled avocado and vegetables like cauliflower and snap peas. Tried and true BEST chicken and waffles in Indy. I get it, it's really hard to actually mess up chicken and waffles. But wow they excelled at everything. There is subtle crystalized sugar on the waffle, perfectly juicy but still crispy chicken, and the best sauce ever. One modification I do make is having them put the syrup in the side because on occasion, it can be a little heavy. All the desserts from this place are absolutely amazing as well! Discovered this adorable cafe while waking around downtown Noblesville and have been dying to try it ever since! It's not a huge place and it filled right up the Saturday morning that I visited, so get there early! You start by ordering at the counter (both food and drinks), and your food is brought out to your table. We ordered the Portuguese hash, the Portuguese fries, and an omelet. The hash had SO much flavor, and I absolutely loved the addition of olives in it. As for the fries, they were cooked perfectly and paired well with the white and red sauces drizzled over top. Think papas bravas meets breakfast. The omelet took up most of the plate and came with the cutest little jams to accompany the toast. After eyeing the case full of incredible baked goods all morning, we decided to grab a few to go. None of which made it out of the parking lot fully intact. The owner is a dual citizen of Portugal and the USA and grew up cooking in Portuguese household. The outside is stunning - classy, upscale, and welcoming, with a few outdoor tables for dining. The inside is incredibly gorgeous as well, with huge wood tables, bar stools, comfy chairs and a big turquoise display cabinet and counter to order at. This is definitely a spot you want to linger in. The tables were socially distanced and it felt safe. They have big glass cases of to-go dinners, desserts and baked goods to eat immediately. Every single thing looks carefully and specially crafted. They also have a really big menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, and other various entrees. We came on the weekend and they had a separate brunch menu as well. I went for the Portuguese hash with eggs and loved every bite. It had great chorizo, olives, peppers, onions, potatoes and runny egg on top. My husband got the Prego sandwich (steak) with fries and loved that as well.
