I didn't think much when the doctor was talking to me but as soon as I laid on the chiropractor table I began to believe in Dr. "S" healing touch. Dr "S" had ZOOMED in to an area that hit me right in my brain and the pain began to subside. Like most chiropractors they'll pop your back... It was my first visit to a…read morechiropractor, so I was a little skeptical, but I'd been experiencing nagging lower back pain from sitting at my desk all day and couldn't find a way to stretch it out. After two visits with minimal adjustments and some stretching the pain is gone, and it hasn't come back since (it's been at least three months). What I appreciate about Dr. Lathrop is that he takes his time, doesn't over-prescribe adjustments, and doesn't up-sell to get you to come back for services you don't need. On my first visit he spent an hour asking about my health and habits, watching the way I walk and sit, and feeling my back. Then he stretched my lower back and showed me stretches I could do for self care. The second visit was a follow up. He made one more adjustment and sent me on my way. His goal is to provide you with the tools to keep yourself healthy on your own (if possible), not to get you on a rotating plan of unnecessary visits to make a buck. Finally, he's very aware of your personal space and always asks to to make adjustments, explaining as he goes. I'm not too anxious about that stuff, but it was certainly appreciated.
