The doors were too heavy for how they were hung, sagging, pulling the brackets out of the drywall, and never closing properly. He started the job the same day I contacted him, carefully taking everything down and repairing the wall. He came back the next day to texture and paint, then rehung the doors and brackets properly. The doors now slide shut evenly and no longer sag from their weight. His pricing was excellent for the quality of work, and he was friendly, communicative, and professional throughout. As a bonus, he's an animal lover and made sure to say hi to my new puppy and cat. 100% would hire him again.

Got my kitchen painted and it was the WORST home improvement experience I've EVER had!!!…read more The crew showed up without coverings for their shoes and didn't even have all the proper equipment for the job (I had to loan them a step ladder). They completely rushed through painting my kitchen and missed TONS of spots. So much so that I had to point out the different places they missed 5 DIFFERENT TIMES and they still didn't get everything right before leaving. I shouldn't have to play foreman to a "professional" painting crew. They didn't remove any outlet covers or blinds in order to do a thorough job, poorly taped off different areas of the kitchen and then didn't remove all the tape after they "finished," and even spilled on my carpet because there was no floor covering put down. I ended up spending over 2 hours repainting the kitchen myself the next day because the work was done so poorly. To top everything off, I overheard one of the workers cursing HATE SPEECH against people of alternate lifestyles in Spanish multiple times while they were there. When I had to talk to the supervisor on the phone (3 separate times), she first tried to gaslight me into believing her crew was doing the job correctly. I then had to explain to her the truth of the entire situation because her workers were telling her lies in Spanish saying they did everything correctly. She did offer an apology and a discount to use her company on a "future" project (not the current one), but I would NEVER use them again or recommend them to ANYONE. Plus, they ONLY take Zelle (or cash) which was VERY inconvenient. This company had great reviews which is why I went with them initially for the job. However, I have NO IDEA how they received the glowing reviews because I could not have been more disappointed with how everything went down. I would NOT recommend using Mr. E Does it All for ANYTHING when it comes to your home. My kitchen was blue before they "painted" it, but these few pics don't even do the AWFUL job they did, justice.

I have used Jung aka JJ twice for bathroom work: 1) Vanity and sink installation for half bathroom…read moredownstairs and 2) Upstairs sink stopper re-adjustment and slow leak (under the sink) for upstairs bathroom. However, there were issues with the second work. He quoted me $220 for a simple sink stopper realignment, new drain (costs $5 at Home Depot), and leak repair. Fine. However, he did NOT fix the leak. Water continued to drip under the sink for 2 weeks after he said he fixed it. He did come by once during those 2 weeks and said it was just something he needed to "tighten". That was not the case as the leak persisted. I called JJ again on 10/3 to let him know. I sent him pictures and we confirmed that a rusted valve needed to be replaced. Great. So he quoted me another $110 to have it repaired. Really JJ?! Absolutely NOT right to charge a client more money when it wasn't even fixed the first time. Especially after we both specified what needed to be done and the amount that was agreed upon. He said it's because he needed to buy a different part which (he confirmed) was only $10 at the store. I told him I shouldn't be paying anything more since the repair wasn't done the FIRST time. However, I told JJ that I can pay $10 for the part and he said no. And we bickered back and forth and settled on $60 for him to fix this leak. But after giving it some thought, I will spend the $10 on the part and go on YouTube and figure it out myself. This is a very unfortunate situation because I wanted to continue to use him for other bathroom projects. However, I REFUSE to be taken advantage of. I might not know a lot about plumbing, but I know enough and I definitely know when I'm being hustled. Scamming a client for MORE money after NOT fixing it right the first time, is BAD business. Very unprofessional and unethical. I would have not expected this considering all of the 5-star reviews on here. Do not mistake my kindness and soft spoken voice as weakness JJ. The reviews from Yelp looked amazing! We reached out to Dave via a phone call on a Saturday and he immediately picked up. When we told him about the project. He had scheduled a time, same day, to stop by and scope out the work. He was able to take an estimate of measures and was easy to work with on going through all of the details of what would be included with converting the loft into a bedroom. He was great to speak with and was very knowledgeable about the project.

We purchased a home with a back door that wouldn't latch. When we looked into it, we found that the…read moretop hinge on the door was held on by just one maybe 1.5" screw, and the hinges were misaligned with the pre-drilled holes in the frame. The metal threshold under the door was also bent out of shape and missing the wooden or rubber part that actually seals against the door sweep, so this door was DRAFTY and definitely wouldn't keep any bugs out. I'm pretty handy, but with how much work the door needed, I didn't feel comfortable fixing it myself. I messaged Dave on Yelp and we were able to do a video estimate a few days later. When my partner and I decided to hire him, he was able to come out the next day for the repair, and he did an awesome job. The door works great, all the hinges are anchored in properly, and besides some paint, the threshold looks like nothing was ever wrong. After some other contractors blew us off and dismissed our concerns with their work, we were worried we wouldn't be able to find someone who would actually seal the door and make it look good. I had a home inspection and there were a few repairs that needed attention. I needed smoke detectors to be replace, a door that wouldn't latch close, and a leaky kitchen sink and loose faucet. I'm very disappointed with the quality of work from Essential Home Services. My uncle decided to…read morehire help to install my mirrored closet sliding doors while I was out of town as a surprise but it's hard to not feel disappointed. The doors are crooked and do not slide smoothly. My uncle says they spent an extra half hour trying to adjust the door when he complained but they couldn't get it right. They insisted it was metal shavings in the track and that it needs to be greased. I disagree since my other six closet doors I installed last year are the same brand and slide easily. I removed the doors and very quickly realized they did not follow instructions. There is a half page insert that says to mount the lower track 5/8" inside the frame, only the top track should be flush. They mounted both tracks flush with the frame which is causing the problem. Further, they never adjusted the height on the wheels so there is an angle of space between the door and frame. I'm sure this 60 second adjustment never happened because the shipping tape hadn't even been removed from the adjustable wheels (as per the instructions). This is a very common type of door...it must be the first set of sliding closet doors they ever installed?? The protective plastic wrapping on the doors was hastily removed with residue and plastic left on the bottom (see photos) and the white plastic parts which fit into the top track were damaged during the botched install. This will take more time to fix than doing the install myself would have. I don't understand how a professional contractor would not be able to correctly install closet doors, it's a very simple job. I work as a bookkeeper and figured this out in 15 minutes...shame on you!!! Next!
