Having just moved to Las Vegas, I have browsed Yelp for services and it's been a hit or miss. When it comes to Norse Painting, they truly deserve the 5 stars and more. And I am glad to add another 5 star rating. Norse was one of 4 painting companies I contacted. What I wanted done was have our kitchen cabinets either "pickled" or "bleached". The cabinets are in good shape and don't need to be replaced or refaced. I also don't want them painted. Of them all, Jon from Norse was the only one who knew what pickling and bleaching mean, and he's already done some projects like that. He explained in detail each process and how they differ. The other painters? They said no, they don't recommend it but it turned out they just didn't know how, or just wanted the quick spray paint method. And one never called back. The ones who did call gave an estimate of the work, and happily, Norse was the most reasonable. Oh, did I mention that Jon was the only who actually came to do measurements and talk with us in person? The others submitted quotes by looking at the Zillow pictures of the property when we bought it. Jon's coming to our home underlines the importance and value of personal interaction. He is so personable that it's easy to like and trust him. I was so glad that Jon was so knowlegeable that I added more jobs into the project: paint the kitchen, living and dining rooms as well as the master bedroom, pickle the cabinets in the master bath and half bath and the hallway linen closet. 100% happy with my Norse Painting experience, would use them again and recommend them to others. Not only because they were our fairest bid to paint the outside of our home, but the customer service over the phone with Preston and in person with Mike at the initial sale made me feel like this large project was in good hands. When needing to paint the outside of my home this year, I called four companies for bids. Two of those companies came from Yelp, one from a personal friend and the other from our HOA. Three of the bids were from painters/owners coming out (a bit on the fly from another job they were working on in the area), looking at my house and either telling me in person right there the estimated cost or later sending me a text with the estimated cost. Then there was Norse Painting. Preston set up the appointment over the phone, I think he sent me a calendar notice (not sure, but my memory simply remembers them as that efficient). Mike came out at an agreed upon time, spent some thoughtful time walking around my home and then an email was sent with the actual formalized bid, complete details of work that was going to be done and a deposit request. And in the end of the four companies, even with the fancy formalized email bid, Norse was actually the least expensive of all four bids. I was not necessarily seeking the "cheapest," but man did that seal the deal with me immediately. I knew I was not dealing with some fly by night, dime a dozen, "you get what you pay for" painter experience. On the day of the job and the day before to pressure wash, Robert and then the painting team all showed up on time, were friendly, respectful of property, worked all day and my 1700 square foot home was painted in one day (one day to pressure wash and dry and another day to paint, so kind of two days, although the pressure wash only takes like two hours, maybe) During Mike's initial visit, I discovered that Norse Painting is actually now Norse Construction and can do more than just painting. They have been Norse Painting for a long time and only recently attained the proper licensing to do other constructive work. So along with the painting of the outside of our home and its stucco repair, they did a little wood work and rubber seal repair around my garage door as well and also gave me a future bid on some concrete work. From sale to execution, I have been 100% happy this entire experience with Norse Painting. read more

Unfortunately our painted Kitchen cabinets did not hold up- it started chipping as if it was not bonded correctly pretty quickly (about 6 months on unused cabinets) and has since gotten worse and have had a few cabinet doors crack. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I emailed and called quite a few times to have them redo just a door face when needed (would of happily paid for the service) since their paint choice clearly did not work well (a laquer apparently) but received no response :([[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] it's very unfortunate as I used them for our bathrooms as well which have held up fine as they used a different paint. I contacted a few different contractors to get quote for just the facia trim repainting and the entire house. I made the soonest appointment I could with Norse Painting to get a quote. Mike came by to give me an estimate and he was professional and prompt. I asked for a quote for just the facia/trim and then entire house and received both. The quotes were very detailed, concise, and outlined all expectations and work to be performed... Impressive and just what I like to see! After receiving the official quotes through e-mail and discussing their availability for work done, I promptly put down my 5% deposit to get it scheduled. The quote came in reasonable and I wasn't afraid to pay their prices due to their reputation on here and speaking with Mike, who gave me my estimate. Hiring a reliable, LICENSED company to spend a lot of money for work on your home can be very stressful. Mike put me very much at ease. While waiting to get things scheduled, I went over my options with my HOA and decided to change the color of my house while were at it. This added 2 days of wait time. Mike was understanding with the delays, but promptly got things started by having my house power washed while we anticipated a 48 turn-around on HOA approval. Once the approval was received, I notified Mike and I was scheduled for painting the very next day! Jesus and crew arrived early Saturday morning at 7am to get started. They were professionals and did a terrific job prepping and covering the entire area. There were a few holes in my stucco that they repaired no problem. I appreciate their thoroughness and attention to detail. They even had the patience to deal with me a few times while I asked questions once in a while. :) I was surprised at how well things were completed. At the end I did a final work around and was very satisfied. After a few days of looking at things, I found two spots that needed touch up. These were very hard things to notice, so they were not caught on initial inspection. They may seem like little things, however, as a homeowner I would have to live with these flaws every day and I will always know they are there. That would completely kill me. I contacted Mike and he said it was no problem at all! He scheduled Jesus to come by early in the morning to address the issues. Jesus arrived on time, completed things quickly, and went on his way. The entire process from start to end left me very impressed... evening paying the invoices and putting down deposits was very easy to do online! There is a reason this company has FIVE STARS on Yelp.
