The receptionist was sick, sneezing and coughing into her arm and not wearing a mask. Ironically, there were signs posted about wearing a mask if you are sick. She seemed irritated at having to do her job. She booked me a follow-up appointment and never gave me an appointment card for it, so I don't actually know when it is, despite asking. She rudely waved me away to 'help' the next person, and I never got the information clearly communicated to me. She waved me off and was engaged with the next person already. Because it was frustrating, chaotic and full of airborne germs in the office, I figured it would be better to call and find out. My mistake. Whenever I have tried calling to ask when my appointment is, the phone just rings and puts you on hold forever. No one picks up. The doctor was efficient and said my lungs and heart were strong and clear. Yet they required me to schedule a follow-up visit, for some reason. Anything else could have clearly been done in one appointment, especially since I was given such a good diagnosis of health. I think they're splitting one visit into two in order to bill double. I also think that might qualify for insurance fraud. I am planning on canceling my upcoming appointment, if the office will ever answer their phone.

If they picked up the phone after they ASKED me to call them back I would not have had to drive all the way to Lansdale just to be disrespected. The woman at the check out desk with the glasses has a terrible and not customer service oriented attitude. She rolled her eyes. Idk if she knows empathy is an important part of her job? She was talking on her cellphone in the office when I went in to cancel. This is medicine, lady, idk if you know that. Your job is to help people with real problems, not roll your eyes because you're upset your day got a tiny bit harder. I would give this place zero stars if I could. If you want to be treated like an ATM and not a patient with needs no one takes seriously, Advocare is the place for you! Deplorable.

I've been meaning to write this review for a few months now, but today is the best day to write it…read more Because after two months, I used the substance I was addicted to. I feel hungover and really paying the price. I feel scattered, nervous and weak. I have no desire to go back to that common feeling. Today was a strong reminder for me how life used to be. I don't want any part of it. Today was how I used to feel at least once, usually twice a week. It doesn't matter what you are addicted to, be it heavy drugs like herion, crack, or meth. It could be cigarettes, sex, alcohol, the internet, or gambling. The feeling is always the same the next day (or a few days). I know you know what I mean. I don't feel like myself, I'm not clearheaded. I feel like shit. In many ways it's a wasted day, a day I need to recover. For me it was caffeine addiction. The pain and discomfort is the same no matter what it is. The struggle is the same for everyone. I was sensitive and just as hooked to caffeine and chocolate as any heroin addict. Gary's neurofeedback is the only thing that helped me successfully have the willpower to stop using long enough for the cravings to die off, as I like to put it. It takes more than 30 days of abstinence. It took me about 45 days for the last headaches to disappear and the receptors on the cells that were used to getting their caffeine fix to give up, shrivel and leave me alone. Without sounding like an info commercial, I have my life back, I guess one could say for the first time in 30 years. I have no idea how the neurofeedback works. Gary answers my questions, but I still don't understand it. Brainwave sensors are placed on the head and then you watch this computer screen make interesting patterns with weird sounds. It's painless and very relaxing. It has something to do with the brain teaching itself to function optimally again, not stuck in patterns of addiction and obsession. It takes time. I saw Gary twice a week for 4 months before the addiction was gone. At first I could only go 4 days without using; then 7, then 10 days, then two weeks. I made it to a month and beyond. For the first 6- 8 weeks I thought this isn't working; but be patient, it does work. It is the only thing that worked for me. I have tried everything else in existence. I believe in neurofeedback so much I want to learn how to do it and start offering it to others. There is so much addiction in our society that cripples so many amazing talented creative people. But they never get to offer their gifts to society, to their families, to their own selves because of the dysfunction. I am forever grateful to Gary for helping me. Scott O'Brien, Germantown, PA

At first skeptical, I soon realized that changes were occurring in how I handled myself in stressful situations . My over all approach to life, is so much calmer. His professional manner , as well as his friendly, caring, attitude, bring a calm to each session, afterwards I leave feeling at peace with what ever was troubling me. In and out of all kinds of therapy for many years has never effected me as much as these life changing sessions with this wonderful man.

All in all, I've been very happy with my experience here. My sleep study was five years ago, but I've been coming back every year for my annual follow-up. My sleep study itself went smoothly and the technicians made sure they explained everything they were doing and what would be happening. Overall, they took good care of my during my overnight stay. You get your own private room that is similar to a hotel room with a bed, TV, and private bathroom. While your sleep may not be as comfortable as staying in a hotel due to all the wires that you will be hooked up to, I still managed to fall asleep. They want you asleep by 10:30 or so and they will wake you up around 6:30. I simply took a shower there and then went straight to work. They helped with the type of mask I should wear and have helped with fittings subsequently. For the annual follow-up appointments, the doctor is usually on-time and I've generally seen the doctor within ten minutes of my appointment. The only exception was on my most recent visit, in which I was left in the waiting room for close to 30 minutes past my appointment and there was no one else there. It turned out that my doctor was doing some dictation. Yes this was frustrating, but I will say that this has not been my normal experience. If you find yourself tired throughout the day, you might have sleep apnea and if you need a sleep study, I would recommend the Paoli Sleep Center.
