I even had my insurance company call them and Monica, office manager kept diverting away from the conversation and referring back to the fact the boss won't take patients from New York State even though they accept NYS insurance. Deciding for you what is feasible is highly inappropriate and unprofessional for anyone when patients can't get someone in their state who makes the kind of orthotics that are needed. If your website says that you accept all patients than you have an obligation. I hope they see this and realize that because of their ignorance they have lost a long time customer.

My mom broke her pelvis and the care center set up delivery of a jr walker because she is very petite. They delivered the wrong one, which in itself is not an issue, but the lack of resolution and rudeness that followed makes me irate and leaves me utterly befuddled as this is a company that should be helping to ensure the correct equipment is provided to patients. No individual healing from injury or family member providing the care, should have to have to be met with such lack of empathy when just trying to resolve the issue and get the correct equipment for the person in need. The girl's name I spoke with was Britney and she was more interested in interrupting me and blaming me than helping me to resolve the issue. The outright rudeness and lack of caring does not make her a good candidate for a customer service related job. I have no other experience with DME and they might even be a great company, but because of Britney's immaturity in dealing with my frustration which was driven by their lack of service, I will NEVER, EVER use or recommend DME Living Well. Perhaps some training for Britney would help.

Love how they worked directly with my insurance company prior to my appointment so they knew what i could get and what i would need to come out of pocket for. While It is frustrating that you need an appointment in order to shop, it is because of the paperwork necessary to work with the insurance companies. Maybe they should offer one night a month where people can just come in and browse and try things on ? I left with 3 prosthetics and some bras and some tank top/camisoles. The staff was very accommodating with trying different styles and sizes. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because of the limited hours but part off that could be due to Covid, not certain. Wish they would accommodate browsing and trying on things without an appt or after an appointment because i didn't have time to look at the bathing suits so ill have to make another time to go back.

This is due to the fact that she cannot provide any benefits or health insurance. I was hired here as a full-time receptionist and was told I was "doing well" for weeks, and, with no warning, was suddenly fired via text message in the middle of my shift on a random Tuesday. The owner cited my "bad work ethic" as the reason for my termination. Said owner also called out at least once a week and up to three times a week during my month and a half at this job. She also took advantage of her long-term employee to complete her work for her on days she decided to call out. Before my sudden termination, the manager gave me no warnings, write-ups, or feedback that wasn't positive. Although the pay is desirable, I do not recommend employment here. The manager has total control and there are no checks-and-balances due to the small nature of the company. Your day to day will be met with passive aggressiveness, oversharing about her personal life and endeavors, and no strict training plan that leaves you with no real tasks to do for hours (which the manager caused and then fired me for, despite me asking for more things to do). The owner also mentioned having "bad experiences" with turnover. That should've been a red flag for me. I truly wonder why she had these experiences... Overall, this was a bad job and I regret applying here.

I spent about six months working on getting custom compression garments through them before giving up, as they seemed to be one of the only local suppliers of custom garments. I knew I might be between insurance plans by the time I could get garments and anticipated that getting custom garments approved by insurance would be difficult regardless. Because of this, I confirmed by phone that I could pay out of pocket for custom compression garments and was told there were even options for payment plans. After spending many hours reviewing all of the available premade garments and their measurements, I knew I would need custom garments. I was informed that I needed to have measurements taken by someone with the company to get the compression garments, so I took time off work to go in and have measurements done. My experience with the person taking the measurements (Kim) was not good. I explained to Kim that I needed measurements to get custom compression garments and understood I would likely pay out of pocket. Measurements were only taken for standard garments. I felt my questions and concerns were not well addressed during the appointment. Kim did not inform me that she was not taking measurements for custom garments, which I understood to be the purpose of the appointment, until I returned with follow-up questions. At that point, she advised that she only took measurements for standard garments to go through insurance, despite my having already concluded that the premade garments would not work due to my measurements and the joints I needed the garments to cover, and that I was okay with paying out of pocket. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

I told him I trusted the orthopedist and I would like what the dr. prescribed. When I arrived for the appointment I was given voluminous paperwork to complete. He ignored what I told him over the phone and kept badgering me to get a custom brace $$$. He needed the extra info on the paperwork and the info he kept pumping me for, to justify to the insurance company the more expensive custom brace, which I repeatedly told him I did not want. He was relentless, keeping me there for almost 2 hours. He took my old brace and was twisting and bending it until I yelled at him to knock it off. When I got home, I called my dr. who confirmed I did not need a custom brace and echoed what I thought; he was trying to rip me off. It is very aggravating to be ignored, disrespected and taken advantage of by a local business. Caveat emptor!
