It was interesting walking around and as I was leaving...I spotted the gorgeous table I saw in NY. It's everything I have been looking for. When i saw the price I started to laugh...it was almost $2000 more than the exact one I saw in NY. I thought maybe it was a different marble or maybe it was different in some way. The photos I had on my phone showed the same name and style number with the price. I asked the salesman, why this outlet version was more expensive than the brand new one. That was when his personality came through and he told me I was wrong. I showed him the photos with the price and he got a little snippy. Not wanting to engage, I left, thinking to myself, OMG...it's just a table. Retail 101...A used piece in a pop up outlet should be less than an original that would be made to order and shipped from the factory.

The manufacturer in Italy did not approve the warranty claim even though Calagaris customer service management agreed it was a defective product. Customer service went out of there way to remedy the situation and replaced the product at a cost to them after 9 months of constant communication. Received the replacement, but after 5 weeks the materials began to degrade and come apart again. I have purchased high end furniture in the past however I have not had this type of experience with Italian furniture. I hope in the future Calagaris utilizes manufactures who use better materials and stand behind their products.

Midtown Garden Center, is a lovely little sanctuary located in one of the busiest areas in the city. Yes, parking might be difficult, and yes, the area isn't exactly "walkable" but once you arrive you're transported to a beautiful little rainforest with pots, plants, blooms, succulents, and even smoothies to satisfy your cravings on a hot and sunny day.
