We visited for a pro volleyball all star match. The show for the event was amazing. They did a great job with hyping the crowd and the sound and lighting. I have to say that is event based though and not quite a reflection on the arena. Since the arena just on UCF campus you're subject to campus parking and it was $12 to park which felt crazy to me...but then again our tickets had been free so maybe I just wasn't expecting that cost. The arena is clean and I noticed employees in the restrooms keeping an eye on needs which was nice. But arena prices are out of control. No one should be paying $7 for a bottle of water. The seating in the higher level was a bit uncomfortable and there were a lot of stairs which is more challenging for an older person. Limited food and drink options. We came out on a Saturday to attend the Allstars Major League Volleyball game and we had a great time. Security was quick to get us in and decorations included representation for all the teams present. It's pretty small inside at least compared to other venues but drink pricing is similar to others. Smart Water costs about 3X the amount of Dasani which feels a bit exaggerated. The seats we were in all had cup holders although they are a bit tight. There was a very tall man next to me and he seemed crammed. I would definitely come back again. read more

It's Graduation Day!! Whooo hoooo! This is why we were here today it's about 12:30 pm in the afternoon the sun is shining bright, the parking garage G is where the free parking lot for the graduates families. UCF is a large Campus they have huge SIGNS for directions detailed instructions and construction work is going on as well, the arena is getting more busy and more crowded filling up all the graduates and teachers, families and friends. We arrived to the graduate drop off section and my daughter wasn't completely ready to exit the vehicle so I asked the security guards could I park here for just a few seconds and he stated that we have a lot here which was very close to the arena for the graduation students , so we parked there very convenient and no issues. Graduation was very pleasant. Restroom is clean. Snacks available for purchase. Pretzel $6. Water $4. Juice $6. read more

Oh man, came to this arena to see Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and I was severely disappointed. The parking situation was not well thought out at all and we spent around 45 minutes waiting to get into the garage, almost making us late for the show. It was also incredibly hot- I was sweating the entire time. The stadium was also intensely packed as the seats are crammed very close together. The one slightly redeeming thing was the food prices which were decent. Not quite looking forward to my next visit. read more

Boss surprised us and some team members to see Kevin Hart at Addition Financial Arena at UCF for his standup comedy show. As soon as we got off the party bus, we got in line for our metal detector/ body search. This was our first time here so I think it's safe to say that anytime you attend an event here, you must go through the line for security purposes. Which is fine.. it's like going through security checkpoint at the airport. No big deal! But I was surprised that they made us put our celllphones in pouches. We weren't allowed to have our celllphones during the show. I'm assuming it's because they didn't want us recording the show and ruining it before it airs on Netflix? I could be wrong about this but if you think about it, it could be true. Anyway...the venue was nice. We had private box seats in the VIP area which was stocked with food and our very own mini bar. Being able to watch the show, eat as much as we want and have the liquor at our disposal made the evening much more fun! This arena is quite small compared to Kia Arena. Security was on point and the staff checked in on us frequently to replenish our liquor bar and to also make sure we didn't grab our cellphones out from the security pouch. Hehehe read more

Went to a college basketball game here - UCF against Iowa State. The stadium is well kept and a great size. Parking for the stadium is a short distance and there was a $12 parking fee. I ate before the game and did not try anything from the concession. The game was fun and after the game there was a big box with free taquis and another snack I could not get to. I used the women's bathroom and it was clean. They have water fountains by the bathrooms upstairs. I can't wait to go back for another game. read more

I've been here a couple times for campus events. Both events were the job/internship type. They have multiple businesses there, taking resumes from students and talking about their company. This is for every major on campus. There seems to be a lot of vendors advertising to engineers and hospitality though. During these events it gets very crowded and you have to be a student to attend. It's best to register before hand to make check-in quicker. read more

A word to any tour's or concerts that play at this arena. When a stagehand breaks your gear, they immediately deny responsibility and will not attempt to replace it. When I approached the steward, the immediate response was -Quote "oh, Our guys would never do anything like that." Insinuating I broke my own gear. End of conversation. Built in 2006, the Addition Financial Arena once known as CFE Arena and UCF Arena is a sports and entertainment arena located on the main campus of the University of Central Florida. This arena replaced the original UCF arena built in 1991 that only held 5,000 people. The new arena was built as part of Knights Plaza, a housing, shopping, and dining complex surrounding the arena. There is a parking garage across the street. The Addition Financial Arena is where the UCF Knights men's and women's basketball teams play their games. The arena is 252,000 square feet with a capacity of over 10,000. There are 17 luxury suites. The theater is also used for concerts, family events, musical theatre, commencements, stage shows, and sporting events. The university expressed a desire to sell the name of the arena in order to raise money for the college. On May 22, 2013, the UCF Board of Trustees officially announced that the school had entered into a 7 year, $3.95 million agreement with CFE Federal Credit Union. The new name took effect on May 23, 2013 and when on May 1, 2019, CFE changed its name to Addition Financial, the arena's name changed from CFE Arena to Addition Financial Arena. I got to visit the arena during commencement spring 2021. It was the first in person commencement that UCF has held since the start of Covid. I am so grateful that I got to attend my daughters graduation. Parking was offered free in the garage only steps away from the arena. There is a lot of fun outdoor seating on the outside. Across the street is the UCF Knights statue which is a fun photo op. Once inside I was very impressed with the arena. Everything was super clean, even the bathrooms which were spotless. I bought a couple of sodas from the concession stand inside. At $4.50 a bottle they even have the same prices as the larger arenas. LOL Anyway I had a great experience. It was my daughters graduation so of course I loved every minute of my visit. This is a wonderful arena for a wonderful university. Go Knights, Charge On! read more

They won't allow you to bring anything into the arena period. We came for UCF Knights basketball game. We brought two bottled waters and we're told we had to throw them out. I went here last night for a graduation. They charged $14 for parking. I was surprised they didn't have any ADA golf carts available for the people who couldn't walk to the venue. Instead I saw quite a few people struggling to make it all the way from the parking garage to the actual venue. Overall the employees were nice and the venue was clean. I came here to watch a show. I have never been to CFE Arena before and maybe didn't know what to expect. So we arrived early to find total chaos. There was no way to tell where the line was or went. Am I in a line for buying tickets or getting in? NO clue. Where does the line start? Where does the line end? Did I just cut people in line? It was crazy but we got in. Felt like the event had zero organization what so ever. Our seats were not that bad and we were close enough to see the stage so we got really lucky! Because they Arena has 4 large screens above the stage or court. Seemed really great until they turned them on. The picture quality was trash for the size. It would have looked better if they were running projectors running from the rear. These LED screens were so out of focus and blurry. The worst part was how bad the audio was out of sync with the video. The video delay was so bad that it was off by over 1 sec. After he said something you would look up and read his lips and enjoy the joke again. It was so bad that I could not even look at the screens and was lucky enough to be able to see the stage. The seating was actually terrible! It was plastic bench seats with a butt groove. So if you lean too far over you get a hump in your bump. The seats also have no back. The guy sitting next to me curled up and put his head in his lap more than once from the back pain of not being able to lean back or have any back support. There is PLENTY of room between the row's to have back support. Parking is crazy stupid. The parking spaces are very small every spot is a tight squeeze. On the way into the parking garage, we watched an SUV back out and hit the car directly behind it. So its very tight if you have a big car. Getting out of this garage, just don't, LoL Take a stroll around campus and kill 30 - 45 min. read more

Thank goodness they have multiple ways in and out. The Katt Williams show started at 8 & there was still a lot of traffic by 8:30. They had a garage that was charging but only accepted cash (which the info online stated prior) we didn't have time to stop. We found an area to park that was a lil bit of a walk from the arena but it was free so we didn't mind. The arena was nice, I wasn't freezing which I was happy about. The chairs were pretty comfy, it seemed pretty clean. I didn't get any snacks or cocktails. The featured cocktail was $16. They had plenty of screens to see the stage. It didn't take long to get from our seats back to the car. We enjoyed ourselves & will come again. There's plenty to do before or after in the area. read more

We came to watch the Kevin Hart show on New Year's Eve. There was a large parking garage that we prepaid to park in...just a short walk to the arena. Outside the arena was decorated with a Ferris wheel, a winter themed village, a covered skating rink and lots of lights. It was beautiful! The arena is big and has many food kiosks. Plenty of washrooms are available too. We were in the lower section on cushioned seats...quite comfy! There were folding chairs on the floor around the stage and a section of bench seating. Security was good and very strict with the no phone policy....several people got removed for using their phones. When we arrived, the entire stadium was filled with a smokiness...like cooking vents weren't working. Nobody could tell us what that was but it dissipated before the show...which started an hour late! read more

The CFE Arena is a major landmark to point out anytime a tour of UCF is given. It's the center point of a huge shopping and restaurant district and it's where big things and events happen. It's within sight of the iconic Memory Mall and the always fun Spectrum Stadium. I've come here most often because of basketball games. The seating is great, so close to the court, and the court itself was beautiful during the 2017-2018 season, really boasting that UCF is Orlando's Hometown Team. I've been here for other things, though, like winterguard events, meetups for the UCF community day, and I actually came here for a Motley Crue concert back in the day. There's a great event held in CFE's front yard every year around the holidays called Light Up UCF. It has a giant Ferris wheel, a huge ice skating rink, horse-drawn carriage rides, and Santa shows up, too. It's backlit by the entire face of the Arena covered from head to toe in lights that are flashing and twinkling and pairing fairly well with the music that's blasting all night long. Good stuff. You might find yourself just walking by the Arena from time to time, though. The bookstore is right outside, there's a Gringos Locos allegedly opening up soon, there's a gym right on the corner, Burger U is pretty delicious, and there's a new little novelty ice pop shop in the complex, too. Bottom line is there is a lot of stuff to do in this little area. Overall, I love the Arena, and I'm going to be sad when I graduate and will have to pay to get in. read more

This arena is a fine example of a multipurpose building. This evening my wife and I attended a comedy show of Jim Gaffigan which was held in the round. In the past graduations have been held here with stage to one side of the arena. And it defaults to a basketball court. Parking this evening was very easy, there is a parking garage located across street. It was winter, so there was an ice-skating rink set up just outside the arena. My wife and I got to our show in and out you easy way it should be. Just remember when you attend this arena it is deep inside the UCF campus. Use the map feature on your phone, if not it will be very difficult to find. Enjoy your show. read more

I came here with my family to watch my nephew's high school graduation. What a beautiful campus and that's coming from a University of Florida alumni! The actual arena is huge and we were late and sitting up in the nosebleed seats, but with the big screen TV and the great acoustics--it was like we were on the front row (well not really, but it was acceptable). Overall, the arena is impressive for a campus stadium and there are plenty of places to grab a nosh before an event as the campus is its own little village with a bookstore and chain restaurants. The concessions seemed a bit disorganized, but not sure who's in charge of that. Lots of long lines waiting, but luckily I didn't feel like I needed refreshments then. The only downside is the parking structure during an event. I only went for a graduation, but I can imagine what a nightmare it would be to try to leave as on graduation night it was pretty horrible. Didn't seem like anyone was policing the place and it took more than an hour just to get to the street. And the double downside is the one parking structure we were at didn't have an elevator so for those who have trouble going up and down stairs, this will be a huge challenge. read more

Was here for a conference and I think it was a great location. There were many food establishments next to it and a short drive away. There seemed to be a ton of restrooms which was a plus. Would bisit here again if another event is held here, but I would make more of an effort to locate street parking. Leaving the parking deck is a a nightmare. Although there are multiple entrances, all of them are not utilized when directing the traffic upon departure. Overall, I would attend an event at this venue again. read more

My significant other and I came to this arena on NYE to see Kevin Hart. Upon arrival, we parked in a prepaid garage which was only a short block away. Exterior was nicely decorated with holiday lights and there were a few family fun activities/attractions. With time to spare, we walked around and enjoyed the view. Once inside, there was a growing crowd waiting to be seated. Skipped the food and drinks. We had upper level seats so my biggest pet peeve for the evening was how the video being projected on the screens did not sync with the audio. Than after the show was the real madness as people race to get out. Literally each car in our level were reversing out at the same damn time and nothing but excessive honking and nonstop rampage of bad mouthing everywhere. You would have thought you were involved in a battle zone. Well... Based upon other reviews, this needs to be way more organized, especially if they're holding big events. read more

The show was great, very funny, and without any rude or lewd content. He's opening act was very funny also. My only complaint about the theater is that it is such a long walk from the parking and entrance to where you have to sit. But other than that it was a good experience. read more

We went to this arena to watch a men's college basketball game, UCF vs UConn. I am a UConn alum, so I am comparing this arena to the other college arenas that I have visited. Pros: It is a small arena, so it was easy to navigate and most of the seats have a good view of the action. The price of tickets was reasonable. Traffic getting to the game wasn't bad. The parking garage is close to the arena, and parking is only $5. The stadium food was tasty. Cons: There was only one concession stand that was open on our side of the arena, while another one was closed and gated off. With only one stand open, the line at halftime was slow-moving, and the food selection was limited (and there was no alcohol). The traffic leaving the game was awful, it took 30+ minutes to leave the garage. Of note: The "environment" of the stadium was surprisingly dull. I have never been to a college sporting event where the away team's fans were louder than the home team's fans. Since I was cheering for UConn, this wasn't a problem for me... But I was surprised at the lack of passion amongst the home team fans. read more

The place was great, food meh!! Ellie Goulding was fabulous. She sang all the songs I know and the ones I did not know were kind of cool. I have a question for whomever wants to chime in! This was the first time my 11 year old went to an adult concert, we bought seats- there were four people seating two seat in front of us. As soon as the concert started they stood and decided to stand the entire time. Because they were tall my daughter could not see Ellie Goulding, the people (thank you sir for trying to help us) seating directly in front of us asked the (standing people) to please sit down because there was a child behind that could not see, another lady (very politely as well) sitting in front of us asked them to sit down and that if they wanted to stand they should be in the standing area. The standing people refused by saying that they bought those spots and were not going to sit down. This made my daughter not enjoy this wonderful concert, we stood some times but felt bad for the people seating behind us because they could not see when we were standing. Should people who buy tickets to seat down be allowed to stand? Is this the norm? I'm just wondering how people can be so rude. SMH read more

Read as 3.5 stars I saw Duran Duran here last weekend (jealous?!) and gotta say, the new arena is a much better place to see a show than the downtown arena. It's smaller, so you can see the performers without the use of a jumbo-tron, but it's still big enough to get a large energetic crowd. Chairs are more comfortable than downtown, but overall still suck. It's all about how many people can sit in one space, not how many can sit comfortably. Beer is 6 bucks, 50 cents cheaper than downtown. Still too much for me though, but you can stop in one of the restaurants next door for a cheaper round before the show\game. Parking- you'll want to park in the garage that is right across the street, but I suggest avoiding it unless you want to either leave early, or wait for the throngs of people to leave. Park in the lots just a little farther away and you'll get to your car and out of the lot much faster. read more
