Heater is 11 yrs old and living on borrowed time. Called a provider a major player in the area and got a quote which seemed rather high. Then called Palmerio and phone answered by the owner. Explained situation and got a ball park quote which was substantially lower than the major player. When could job be done? Answer....today I'll be over within an hour. Long story short from the time of first contact at 8:30am until new heater installed and running at 12:30 pm Elapsed time 4 hours!!! Can't beat that for service and the price was right. Might add im a student of efficiency of motion. I always watch pros when I get the chance as I might learn something I can use myself at some time. Joe certainly knows his business in this regard. I got up for work at 03:00 am on Tuesday July 14 only to find out I had know hot water to shower. The oil pump was tripped out. I pushed the reset and it tripped again. So i turn the power off to the oil burner and left a not for my wife that we had no hot water when she would get up two hours later for work. I left work early to meet the technician around 17:39. He was in the basement for 5 -10 minutes. He came up and said we need to replace the heater for around $10,000. He stated it is twenty years old and would probably spend around $4000 - $6000 to rebuild the pump and other miscellaneous work. He said they could have some here Wednesday July 15 @ 09:00 to give me a estimate for a replacement and work out financing. After he left I decide to get a second opinion and call Aram Ecker who had replaced my water supply line to the house over a year ago. Aram showed up around 08:55 to take a look at the oil burner. He disassembled the pump and other stuff and cleaned it all. He got it fired back up and running. He was here only 1 hour and 30 minutes. This cost me $225.00. I learned a good lesson today.

A great listener who took on our problem as if it were her own. Thank you, Denise! Bill, who changed our corroded water line valves, was friendly, down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and efficient. No B.S. from anyone at this company. Other local plumbing companies? Quoted $698 (vs $423 with Victor James Plumbing) for replacing two water line valves. Quoted $523 (vs $244 with Victor James Plumbing) for replacing one water line valve. Note that they wanted to charge MORE THAN DOUBLE what Victor James Plumbing quoted!! One guy wanted to charge $150 just for coming out for the estimate (vs $65 service visit fee for Victor James Plumbing). I find it sad that, because we customers can't always know what a fair market price for services is, some companies will price gouge us without a second thought. I'm glad that there are still honest folks out there like Victor James Plumbing who can do great work with integrity and still make a profit at a reasonable cost to working families.

So reviews are going to be tense from the jump. But this company came out, late based online booking, by 9pm and we were back in service. I note professional office phone reception and fantastic service technician. I wasn't planning on a drain issue when the day started. I just wanted it fixed before the day ended, and this company succeeded.

I then noticed the pipe was now loose. I looked down the pipe with a flash light and it was a clean break off the trap. The pipe was broken and not secured to the trap. They said they're coming back to fix on Wednesday but want to charge me for it. Wasn't broken before the job. Should not be all on me. Rating depends on the resolution of this $825 job
