I currently work for addeco and also used their service 13 years ago to a job that I was hired on full time and absolutely loved! I have never had a bad experience with this company. You simply need to show up to your jobs every day with no call outs and work hard. If you want to go full time you need to shine and be a outstanding employee. If you're the type of person who stands up for yourself, this isn't the company to work for. Here's the scoop: I worked for Adecco from 2004-2005. While at my last assignment, my grandmother was rushed to the hospital. I called Adecco later in the afternoon (no cell and hospital wasn't local; I know their call-in procedure) to let them know what happened. The woman I spoke with asked me if I wanted to go back to the company; I told her I'd like to if they'd have me. She told me she'd call them and call me back. Not even 5 minutes later, she called me back and told me they didn't want me to return. A few days later, I applied for unemployment. I was denied so I wrote an appeal and had to attend a hearing; Adecco said I quit my last assignment, etc. Needless to say, I lost and had to pay unemployment back. Fast forward to 12/1/14: I saw a posting for a job I have experience for through Adecco's website so I emailed my resume. Lexi called and left a voicemail so I returned her call about an hour later. While on the phone, she brought up my account and there's a huge "Do Not Use" on my file. She asked me if I knew why; I told her no. She told me she'd look into it and get back to me. Well, I hadn't heard from her (still haven't) so yesterday I called the Delavan branch. A woman named Terri picked up the phone so I asked her why there's "Do Not Use" on my file. She told me it was because I had 3 no call/no shows within a week's time (my first, according to her, was a Saturday which we didn't work anyways) which prevents you from future employment with Adecco. I asked "Is that for forever?" to which she responded "Yes, sorry, Jessica" and hung up before I could say anything else. So, if you're looking for work, steer clear of Adecco. I worked for Adecco for a local company in Beloit. I was told they are very laid back and good at hiring in. It took them 3 weeks before they got back to me and another week to run me through training. I had heard nothing but good things about the company I was working at. Within and hour, my dreams of long term employment were shattered. I was told I'd need to step it up to meet a quota (one of the things the company goes by). I watched as most cut corners and never paid it forward so they could make rate. I soon found most of the hired in employees were actively looking for work as the company went downhill and no pay increases. I was also told I am "eligible" to be hired in after 90 days; not the 90 and in I was told. In order to be hired in, you have to make rate. Every day. All day. You have to pass a test. You have to be one of the "chose few". Meanwhile, there were others who were hired right off the street, but "shhh, You didn't hear that from me" was what they told me. And at a higher rate. Nice. The safety equipment you have to use is laughable and slows you down. After watching an experience with another co-worker (who used to work there and thank God told me about the place), I soon realized Adecco and temp agencies are not there for you. They won't help you. They are not like Union rep's at all. They are there to fill a client's request at apparently whatever cost. When I flat out told the supervisor I aint playing their "make rate" game, she complained to the temp service I wasn't their kind of matierial. I'm guessing because I speak up for myself. Soon after, I found out my other coworker friend was transferred. Surprise! He told too many people, including me, the truth and would stand up for himself. Apparently, this place wants dumbed down idiots to work there. I am not, and won't. Never, ever use a temp agency. And I concur with the other review. Same thing happened to me. So no, unemployment aint there for you either. read more
