That's when we happened upon this wonderful little cafe that served pasta dishes and lasagne. They only had marinara on their menu, however, when I asked for meat sauce the waiter accompanied me! The line gets a little long in the 9 o'clock hour, so get there earlier to miss the line and get seating. The sad news is that they don't do reservations anymore so planners don't get a leg up on setting a table aside. The service here was sub-par, but the server was very nice. We started with the cheese plate and some moscato. I didn't like a couple of the cheeses but the wine was great. For dinner, I ended up with the classic lasagna and I thought it was just ho hum. I got to try some of my daughter's pesto and that I found to be better than the lasagna.

They also served olives and focaccia bread. I took off a star because the service structure was confusing to us. There was a sign at the table to order at the bar but then when we went to order at the bar we were told to wait for our server. The server only came around occasionally so service was very slow. This was still however a 4 star review because even with slow service, these views at sunset are hard to beat! This was also a convenient location just up the stairs from the train station.

My husband got a hazelnut milkshake, which was thinner than milkshakes in the US that use ice cream, but he loved the strong flavors and still enjoyed it. It's probably the only time he's ever been satisfied with a thin milkshake. The people working inside were nice, and there were even a couple chairs right outside where we sat and enjoyed our afternoon treat. A very good option if you're looking for gelato in the city.
