I have been coming here for over a year and this place is awesome. It's very clean, in fact immaculate. my sister introduced me as she has been coming here for years. I come for a powder manicure and the work is so professional. My manicure lasts for a month, sometimes longer. Need I say more? The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Don't know why the reviews are so low. I was hesitant to try this place due to the negativity but I was in the area and in need of a mani/pedi. I'll be honest, my usual nail salon is more upscale offering drinks, flat screen TVs, paraffin included in the basic manicure, free massage but the overall service and result of the nails from this salon was worth not having the extras. I'm almost two weeks post appointment and my nails haven't chipped and they still look great. The nail tech I had was attentive, took her time, and I enjoyed the entire process. I have been to this nail salon once before and they did a really good job, however going back for my acrylic fill I was very upset and not pleased with what I left with. I am someone who loves to get my nails done and every 2 weeks I go back to get them redone. My usual is an acrylic set with gel polish, or acrylic fill with gel polish. I came to this place because my usual was booked and I was in a hurry before vacation to get my nails done. I was pleased with the service from the last time so this morning I called to get a fill done. When I came in I was seated right away and he starts taking off the color with the machine as usual. Then proceeds to take off my actual tips to which finally I said something and he explained that he was putting on powder but I need to take it all off first. I told him that what I had on was acrylic and I just wanted an acrylic fill with gel polish. I could tell he got a bit frustrated with what I was saying because I insisted on not having SNS, but instead gel. He then began to put on another new set of acrylics for me and overall it was an alright experience. When it came to pay I spent 70 dollars on basic acrylic nails a new full set with gel even though all I went in for was a fill. He made a mistake and still charged me way over normal price. For 70$ I should feel much better about what I got done and for someone who is always getting my nails done I haven't had them looking this bad ever. read more

Wish I read the reviews before I came here. I got a gel manicure and pedicure, which they did at the same time. Considering the place was completely empty, it wasn't due to a time constraint to get me out quickly. It was awkward to have to contort my body to one side to put both hands on the side table and I wasn't able to enjoy my pedicure. My pedicure was ok, but the woman who did my gel manicure gave me the worst one I ever had. As you can see from the pictures, this is two days after the manicure. She painted the very middle of my nail, leaving a ton of room near the cuticle and sides of the nail. It looks like it's been two weeks since I got them done, instead of two days. The nail was haphazardly prepped, cuticles barely pushed back enough or cut cleanly. The polish was applied, not cured long enough so it smudged, and polish got on the skin near the top of my nail and was not cleaned up much. When I saw the poor job, I asked them to redo at least one nail (trying not to be a pain) because of how far away from the cuticle the polish was and I knew it would bother me. They did not redo it. They swiped some acetone on the skin to remove the polish from my finger tip and that was it. Meanwhile, I had to file the jagged edges down that night so they wouldn't snag my clothing. Never going back, I do a better gel manicure on myself and I'm not even a licensed nail tech. It's a joke how poor this manicure was. Unless you get Kelly, who is a great tech, don't bother going. absolute worst experience in a nail salon in my entire life. upon entering extremely rude greeting. only one other customer inside (I now see why) they began speaking in another language to eachother immediately and staring at me making me feel beyond uncomfortable! As the paying customer I then told them what I would like done not one but TWO employees came and insisted I get an nyor or different service (naturally they were recommending the most expensive service) I politely said no to the first employee. Not even Five minutes later the next employee approached me with the color swatches for the service I had already said I did not want! So I again had to repeat I did not want that service! The manicure I got on Friday 6/28 was the worst I've ever gotten. I had 3 people working on my nails because they were so busy and didn't want to tell customers there was a wait. I picked a gel color and it was clear the bottle was almost empty, instead of stopping, telling me and letting me pick another color they put on two coats. Didn't ask me if I wanted a 3rd. The color was light anyway so that didn't necessarily bother me but it so thin it chipped two days later. I stopped going here a few years ago, this last visit made me remember why. This establishment is HORRIBLE! I went in a pinch to get a gel fill. I was coerced that I needed a brand new set (which I did NOT need). I said no and while the manicurist was prepping my nails she took off everything which led me to needing a brand new set. Very slick! I had the new set on for a week before they started to lift. I wasn't able to get back to the salon shy 1 day of two weeks for them to fix and they were going to charge me another $40 to fix. Not a good way to keep your customers happy. I love the spa pedicures here! I have the uv gel pink and white gel nails which are great, pretty but expensive! A full set is about 100$. This is a really nice place and open on major holidays such as labor day. That was a huge plus for me and the first day I went in there. I came here based on a friend's recommendation. It lived up to what she said, but there were a couple of problems I had. First, they don't have many gel colors, which is a deal breaker for me, especially during my second trip there. I only get gel since it lasts so much longer and doesn't chip. I have to my nails pristine for work since I am a nanny. Second, only one person can do design and I needed to wait a while, like 10 minutes, before she could do it for me. Also, when she applied the gel top coat it smeared the design and left ridges all along the nail. This was the case on every single nail. I have feeling this was caused due to the constant switching of hands since there was only UV gel machine being used. The machines are not in the work stations so it makes it very difficult. Third,there is a tax on each service you get. That is something I am not used to paying. I have never paid tax at a nail place until I came here. It's not really a deal breaker since I only get my nails done at nail places, no other services. This is only because I have acrylics and the lady that does my pedi, waxings, facials, and hair doesn't do them. Fourth, very expensive for a midclass nail place. This is especially true when my nails were not shaped to my liking or all shaped the same. they don't have many people who can do UV nails or acrylics. A few people came in while another lady and I were getting serviced. This caused some to walk out and others to wait a half hour or more. All in all, this is a nice place depending on what you get done. The people are extremely friendly. Also, it depends on where you live. This is little far for me, so that also causes it to be a deal breaker. Then again, that was my choice to go there for which I didn't regret the first time around. I went here out of desperation. Partial letters of the business sign was blown out and place was very dated. I wanted acrylic fill with Gel polish. This fool Andy said $25 for fill $15 for gel polish. Are these nail techs in Connecticut serious? I can buy two bottles of Gelish gel polish for that much! I have a LED lamp so I told him just a fill no polish. I'll do my own gel polish for free at home! He was pissed and said "I do for $10" I still said "NO". That's just stupid to charge that much. With regular polish should be free with gel an additional $5. It should have been $30 for acrylic fill with gel polish like normal places. I've never had such poor service. My friend made a 2:00 appointment and they had us waiting while they kept letting more people come in. We were there for 3 hours. While we were there I complained about the wait and so did another woman. She yelled that she would literally not come back if they didn't take her appointment. My nickname for them is "add-on Ellas". They try to get you to purchase multiple services such as upgrades on the pedicure, eyebrow tinting, waxing or a massage or all of them. They are convenient to where I live but I am tired of getting disappointed with the end product of what I actually want. Today, I think I finally learned my lesson. My daughter and I went in for a mani-pedi. I told them I had a wedding to go too. You pay before they polish your nails, they asked for the tip at that time too. I did not have the best experience. I went in for a gel mani and spa pedi. My water started out cold, (easy fix not a problem), there are 2 jets for the foot spa and one didn't work. When I said something the woman's response was "it's ok". I paid extra for a spa pedi because I wanted a massage, it lacked enthusiasm/attention, she stayed in the same mid calf area the whole time and didn't really touch my feet. The cuticles on my hands and feet look like they were not done, and the polish on my toes looked like a child did them. I got my nails done for the first time here on Friday. I came back Sunday to change my polish because I did not like it. I originally picked a color and was told it's to light pick another, I did but hated it. They were going to charge me the same price I paid Friday for a fill and gel-polish $35 when I literally just changed my polish. Their "shellac" ruined my nails! The service was nice, people friendly. And the nail art was very pretty. I went to another salon to get the shellac removed and after the CND wrap for 40 min it didn't come off. It took them another 40 minutes to deal with the staining. Apparently they mixed regular nail polish with the shellac making it like paint glue on my nails. They were dry and flaking underneath. Looks are deceiving! read more

I have to start out by saying that I walked into this salon at 5:45pm on a Friday, when everyone and their mother seemed to be wanting to get their nails done. Having said this - I waited for over 1/2 hour. The reason this upsets me is because I specifically said that if it was going to be awhile, I would run out and come back - and they had me stay. When they finally did get to the nail service (a UV Gel Fill for me) - it was mediocre at best. I sit here writing this, a day later, with two completely popped off nails... which tells me the nail service, not me, is the issue. I have the french acrylic nails and love them. I only have cathy do them now...she's the best at them. Gary is the best at the back massages, though Cathy and others are great too. They're all great with the pedicures. Prices are expensive, but compared to similarly priced places I've gone to in the area, this place is much better.
